Jesus summoned the Twelve and gave them power and authority
over all demons and to cure diseases,
and he sent them to proclaim the Kingdom of God
and to heal the sick.

Then they set out and went from village to village
proclaiming the Good News and curing diseases everywhere.
Lk 9:1-6

God gave us three spiritual powers the day we were born and them when we were Baptized, intellect, memory, and free will.  He also created us for a purpose like the Twelve apostles.  Again, the foundation that Christ has set up in the last four days’ readings is the Word of God.  “He sent them to proclaim the Kingdom of God” and “they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the Good News” every one of us is commissioned (sent out with a purpose) by God with specific talents and a special purpose.  Pray, discern (pray between two goods), read the Scriptures, receive the Sacraments daily if possible and love.  Every baptized person is created to be a saint and carry out this mission.  Are you praying, listening, asking God what your vocation and purpose are?  Take a few minutes each day to talk to God, listen to Him and His word in the Scriptures, after you receive the Eucharist, and in adoration.  Then, St. John Paul II tells us, “Do not be afraid”, go forth telling your parents, siblings, classmates, neighbors about your joy. You were saved by Jesus, you are at peace because you keep the commandments and receive Him at Mass, you pray and listen to Him daily so you know your purpose and where you are going!  Become a Saint!  Christian YOLO
