Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute,
and when the demon had gone out,
the mute man spoke and the crowds were amazed.
Some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons,
he drives out demons.”
Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven.
But he knew their thoughts and said to them,
“Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste
and house will fall against house.
And if Satan is divided against himself,
how will his kingdom stand?
For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons.
If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebul,
by whom do your own people drive them out?
Therefore they will be your judges.
But if it is by the finger of God that I drive out demons,
then the Kingdom of God has come upon you.

When a strong man fully armed guards his palace,
his possessions are safe.
But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him,
he takes away the armor on which he relied
and distributes the spoils.
Whoever is not with me is against me,
and whoever does not gather with me scatters.”
 LK 11:14-23

Do you demand God to show you a sign that He exists?  Do we doubt God because our prayers are not being answered in our time?  God is working the same miracles today as He was while Jesus walked the earth.  Jesus uses the “finger of God” to cast out demons.  The finger of God is a symbol of the Holy Spirit.  Do you pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you? Have you looked up the gifts and fruits of the Spirit and asked for an increase in specific ones daily.  We have the Holy Spirit in us, we just need to ask God’ Spirit what He wants for us to do each day to be a good servant.  Jesus makes it clear who is above all.  There is always someone who is stronger than us no matter how much we prepare for disaster, no matter how strong or powerful we become, no matter how much money we have.  We build false securities around us all of the time and try to keep ourselves in our comfort zones.  There is only One who can save us from the disaster of our souls which is the most devastating, Jesus Christ.  We were created from dust and God breathed a Spirit into us, we will become dust once again but our Spirit lives forever.  On judgment day it is not going to matter how much money we have, how big our muscles are, if we have the prettiest spouse, or who had the most fun.  It will matter how much we loved.  Do whatever it takes to find Jesus, listen to Him, deny self, and follow Him!  ”Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” LK 11:14-23

Today’s challenge: Stop looking for signs, trust in God and have faith.  Pick the side that is going to give you eternal joy, find Christ and never look back.  Accept that you are weak and need a God to save you.

Be a servant, become a saint!
