Prayer Prompt before reading JN 8:1-11: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray well, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father is and God the Son so that I may know who I am.

“HAS NO ONE CONDEMNED YOU?” JN 8:1-11

Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Today, Jesus teaches us that He does not condemn, we condemn ourselves. He came to save us not condemn us. Sin doesn’t hurt God, it hurts our relationship with God. When we sin, God doesn’t move, we move ourselves away from God. God just loves. As the verse before the Gospel says, “I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked man, says the Lord, but rather in his conversion, that he may live.”  We are all sinners.  Which one of us does not need God’s love and mercy?  We must have a big heart to convert hearts.  The scribes and the Pharisees are stuck in the law and self-righteousness.

We often judge others quickly, I know I do.  When I am at the grocery store, watching TV, at the park, or anywhere unfamiliar to me, it seems I judge those I do not know.  I have learned over time to stop myself and reach out and say hello no matter what a person looks like or how they speak. Instead of judging, I have learned to offer a quick hand or ask a complete stranger how their day is.  We often do not know the people next to us in our pews at Church beyond a greeting and sign of peace.  They are there almost every Sunday (we don’t like to move much).  We like to be comfortable.

Today, Jesus teaches us to have a big heart, be compassionate, get out of your comfort zone, take healthy risks and be kind and generous to others. We all have one Father, we all have sinned many times, be not afraid, reach out to others and be kind whether you know someone or not.  You will be amazed at their response!  Reaching out to someone might just convert a heart and make a believer out of them.

Today’s challenge: Since Jesus forgives and does not condemn, “Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”  Come to Jesus in confession again and again with full intent to not sin again.  His grace and your will can conquer sin.  It may take time, but never give up!

Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YODO (You Only Die Once; we will live again!)

“Sin doesn’t hurt God, it hurts our relationship with God. When we sin, God doesn’t move, we move ourselves away from God. God just loves.” This stood out to me because I had never really thought about it this way. I had never really realized that God never moves away from us, instead, He tries to get us to move closer to Him and not farther away.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus is told that there is a woman who was caught committing adultery. Jesus told them that the first person who has not signed should be the first to stone her. So everyone left except Jesus. He didn’t condemn her, but told her to not sin anymore. We are the woman in this story. We sin so much, but Jesus still loves us! He will still love us even when we have done something horrible. Jesus saved us and will continue to save us until the end of time.

Jesus was condemned to death by sinners. Jesus says in this passage that he will not condemn the woman. We have to first forgive others before Jesus forgives us.

The Gospels show us Jesus’ example that we should live by and here is one of the big things we should take away from Jesus’ life. Forgiving people is something Jesus did all the time and we need to strive to forgive like He did and to have compassion for others like He did.

It was telling me to stop judging people and ask them “how was your day or did you have a good day and if so, how?”

“Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”
Jesus is loving and forgiving. He loves you and he would not want to hurt you. He will not condemn you to anything other than purgatory and Hell. God loves you and will protect you throughout all sin. God will forgive you for anything you do, as long as you believe in Him. For if you believe in Him, you will have eternal life.

In today’s Gospel Jesus shows how to be merciful which is something people do not do that often anymore. Which is said but he has mercy on the woman who was caught committing adultery, no one condemned her so Jesus also did not condemn her.

“HAS NO ONE CONDEMNED YOU?” JN 8:1-11. Something that stood out to me about this was that Jesus is asking us if anyone has commanded us. The reason why this stood out to me is because everyday Jesus is commanding us to spread the word of God.

What really stuck out to me in Today’s gospel was when Jesus told the Pharisees to not punish the sinner because that is not their place and they should let Jesus handle it. Because who are you to tell and punish someone for sin when you are also a sinner. Jesus said “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” This gospel really shows that God is full of forgiveness. He forgave the woman who committed adultery.

In today’s Gospel i really liked how Jesus didn’t immediately agree to stone her (he didn’t really agree at all). The Gospel today also shows how if you commit a sin, you get pain done to you. We all know how in purgatory we ‘suffer’ from all the sins we committed, so the Gospel today helps people understand that. Or they could also take today’s Gospel as if you sin you will experience pain from that sin later on in your life, no sin goes unpunished.

We cannot punish other people for sinning because we are also sinners; we are just sinners in a different way from them.

“Let the One Without Sin Throw the First Stone” He does not deny the law or say adultery is fine. Instead, he sets a rule where only a person who has not sinned has the right to execute the woman. This lets the accusers look at their own, sins, rather than focusing on the visible sin of another. Jesus gives her a new life, not just a new chance. He calls her to repentance, leaving her old way of life behind and living in a way that honors God. God’s desire is for mercy and redemption rather than mere punishment. No human is in a position to self-righteously judge another sin. When we are forgiven by Jesus, we are told to leave our sinful life behind.

Jesus forgave the woman and He doesn’t want her to sin anymore. Just like when we commit a sin, God doesn’t want us to sin anymore. Jesus is the only person who has never sinned. The more we sin, the more Jesus gets sad. But Jesus will always forgive us no matter what. Because He loves us.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus forgave a woman who had committed a serious sin. but the scribes and pharisees wanted to stone the woman. God doesn’t want to hurt us when we sin, but we feel like we must hurt ourselves to get rid of the guilt of sin.

In today’s scripture reading, it really stuck out to me when it says that when we sin it does not hurt God, it hurts our relationship with God. When we sin, God doesn’t move, we move ourselves away from God. This really stuck out to me because it teaches us not sin so we don’t hurt ourselves and our relationship with God. We are all sinners but God loves you for who you are. That does not mean that we should sin, it means that we should go to God when we sin for us to heal us from our sin and cleanse us with his love and forgiveness instead. We must have a big heart to convert hearts. We should be helping others who are not close to God, doubting, or have not found God in their lives yet. Jesus teaches us to love and convent hearts and to never judge anyone for who they are because Jesus loves them the way that they are. Today, Jesus teaches us to have a big heart, be compassionate, get out of your comfort zone, take healthy risks and be kind and generous to others. Jesus is our dad, he is a dad to all of us that are sinners but still saved us and loves us for who we are. God is pure love. Never be afraid to be kind to people that you know or you don’t know always be kind. His grace and your will can conquer sin. It may take time, but never give up! Have a good rest of your day!! God loves you!! God Bless!!! Viva Cristo Rey!!

The Gospel reading presents a powerful encounter between legalism and divine mercy. The scribes and Pharisees bring a woman caught in adultery to Jesus, not out of a desire for justice, but as a test to trap him. They present a binary choice: uphold the Mosaic law by stoning her, or show mercy and appear to contradict the law.

Jesus is saying in this Gospel that no one is without sin, so who are we to condemn others? Who are we to judge others when we have also done wrong? Jesus is telling us that he does not condemn the woman because she is repentant. Jesus tells to the woman to go and to not sin any more. The elders were trying to test Jesus but in response he tested them.

In today’s gospel, the pharisees bring a lady who committed a serious sin to Jesus. They wanted to test Jesus because of her sin. Jesus forgives her and gets rid of her sin. It was like a confession but not really at the same time.Jesus wants us to forgive others like how he forgave the lady who sinned because be loves us and wants us to be able to reach Heaven.

Come to Jesus in confession again and again with full intent to not sin again. His grace and your will can conquer sin. It may take time, but never give up! In my mind this sentence tells you to never give up on God and to always try your hardest to stop sinning and hurting God with your sin.And to always remember to have full intent to not do the sin again after you have sinned. Also God’s grace is stronger then anything in this world he can do anything.

In the Gospel today when Jesus said “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” And even though he could have thrown a stone at her because he did not sin he instead said “Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.” Jesus does not wish us harm but rather that we stop sinning and not judge others for their sins.

Our Gospel today starts off with a women being brought to Jesus after being caught in the act of adultury, which is one of the commandments. Jesus is asked what to do with the women and if they shoukd follow there customs and stone her. Jesus then told them that the one without sin can be the one to throw the first stone. They all went away one by one knowing they had sin, then Jesus told the women, go out and do not sin anymore. Today we are really being told that Jesus will always forgive even when it comes to the cammandments but those with sin shouldnt punish others for their sin.

In today’s Gospel there is a women committing a sin, Adultery, I think this is important because whenever we sin we move away from God, but there is a way to get closer to God a get rid of the sins and by doing that you need to go to confession, confession is important because we need God in out lives. When I was at church in St. Elizabeth the priest was talking about how its true we use science for most things but God is the most important and our life would be nothing without him.

In today’s gospel Jesus talks about how we who are sinners should not judge other sinners. Why judge imperfect people when we are also imperfect. Everyone sins, so why should we judge others for their sins. Jesus tells us to not condemn others for they will be condemned when the time comes.

In today’s gospel Jesus says “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” We all have sinned. We all continue to sin. Even still we still condem people sining. Why do we do this? If we all sin then why do we still think we are better than others. Because we sin less? Maybe we do sin less but we still sin. Because our sins are less serious? Maybe they are but still we all sin.

Today’s Gospel shows how Jesus tells the Pharisees not to be hypocrites. They should not have pride and be able to let her repent. Why Judge her for sin when you have sin.

We should not judge others because we would be hypocrites. We are all sinners because of the fall. We should not judge others because we are judging them for what we do too.
