Humbly submit your will to God (thy will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
A certain Pharisee invited Jesus to dine with him,
and he entered the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table.
Now there was a sinful woman in the city
who learned that he was at table in the house of the Pharisee. Bringing an alabaster flask of ointment,
she stood behind him at his feet weeping
and began to bathe his feet with her tears.
Then she wiped them with her hair,
kissed them, and anointed them with the ointment.
When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this he said to himself,
“If this man were a prophet,
he would know who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him,
that she is a sinner.”
Jesus said to him in reply,
“Simon, I have something to say to you.”
“Tell me, teacher,” he said.
“Two people were in debt to a certain creditor;
one owed five hundred days’ wages and the other owed fifty.
Since they were unable to repay the debt, he forgave it for both. Which of them will love him more?”
Simon said in reply,
“The one, I suppose, whose larger debt was forgiven.”
He said to him, “You have judged rightly.”
Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon,
“Do you see this woman? When I entered your house, you did not give me water for my feet,
but she has bathed them with her tears
and wiped them with her hair.
You did not give me a kiss,
but she has not ceased kissing my feet since the time I entered. You did not anoint my head with oil,
but she anointed my feet with ointment.
So I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven;
hence, she has shown great love.
But the one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.”
He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
The others at table said to themselves,
“Who is this who even forgives sins?”
But he said to the woman,
“Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Lk 7:36-50
Jesus teaches us today without love and mercy, one will not enter heaven. These two actions are intertwined so completely that they make up the fiber of God’s nature. God did not need to create us, He is God. He needs nothing. He is complete in Himself and we can not add anything to Him. He is made up of love and wanted to share it. We are the creation that is a result of this overflowing love. We are made in God’s image and likeness along with our parents, who loved each other so much that they decided to give one another themselves in the vocation of marriage.
I suck at forgiving. I am stubborn and hard-headed. I think I am always right! Thank God he gave me a big heart and is good at slapping humility on me often. The woman bathed Jesus’ feet with tears. When is the last time you cried in the confessional? Me either. Every sin hurts God and will have to be repaid. We must truly be sorry and continue to work on our limitations and sinful habits. St. Teresa of Avila said, “Don’t allow your sins to become bad habits!” This is the journey to sainthood!
When is the last time God didn’t forgive you when you asked Him to? Why do we judge, talk about others, be mean, and live selfishly? We are all in the same boat and have faults. Begin healing your relationships with forgiveness, embrace someone today like Jesus does for you in the confessional each time you have the courage to come back and face your sins.
At that moment, we begin to understand true love and boy does it feel good, even overwhelming at times. Thank you God, send us your grace so we may reflect you better. Amen!
Today’s challenge: Forgive, feel the burden released, and experience love and joy. Tears will flow!
Be a servant, become a saint!

I hope that I can apply this to my life by learning to not hold grudges, and be kind to everybody. I will worship God with high praise (or will at least try to!) and to treat everyone with love.
i feel like we need to ask forgivness for our sins like the sinful women
i can apply this to my life by not taking stuff for granted and being thankful for what i have, even if it’s nothing
God is very forgiving and we need to take advantage of that and go to confession as much as possible. God will forgive everyone no matter what someone did and we need to try to do the same. We need to try and forgive one another even if we don’t want to we need to try.
In this scripture Jesus calls use to follow him no matter what is happening in our lives at the time.
I can apply this to my life by being merciful like Jesus was to the sinful woman.
The woman showed a lot of love and mercy towards Jesus. And without asking for forgiveness you can not enter Heaven. All Jesus wants is to be your friend.
We can use this in our lives by letting Jesus guide us during confession especially. We need to forgive God because he has forgiven us.
I am sure you meant something different. Maybe we need to forgive others the way God forgives us
We can put this in our live by forgiving people and loving people when the hurt you.
Dont judge people because you are a human too
love and fill with joy to other people around you
I have a disobedience problem, it still makes me cry over… ?:-[ I really need Jesus in my life… if I did, then all my fears, sins, and even my own self will run away CRYING!!!! I know what my job is on this earth, that is to get my sibs into heaven. I can’t do that without getting the wooden beam out of my eye… I really wish people would understand right about now that I have changed over the years, and I will change your mind on how you see me… FOR I AM A SERVER OF THE LORD, and that is the most beautiful thing that could happen to me ever…
That is a great reflection
Thx
We can apply this to our lives by being more sorrowful truly sorrowful when at confession it is not just a conversation it is a holy interaction. We must know in order for God to forgive us we must be full of remorse.
God wants to forgive us there is nothing to bad that you did Jesus will always forgive you.
I can apply this to my life by, being more kind to others and forgiving them when they do wrong. Also by asking for forgiveness when this happens to me. And by praying and being loving to one another, when we do wrong we can be forgave.
I can imply this to my life by going to confession more often and praying more.
we can put this into our lives by forgiving others and not talking bad about others.
I can apply this to my life by forgiving people more.
I can apply this this to my daily life by forgiving more people and by not holding grudges. Also This shows my that I should try to stop judging people and affirm them instead of bringing them down.
God is always forgiving and merciful in the story Jesus forgave the sinful woman because she bathed his cleaned his feet but the man that invited him in did not welcome him with a kiss but the woman that bathed his feet kissed his feet Jesus also said that the one that loves a lot will be forgiven but the one that does not love will not be forgiven
I can use this in my life by trusting and loving God. I can also think about Him constantly.
I can apply this to my life by listening closely to what God has to say in the Gospel. If I listen the what God tells me I can live a better life.
I can apply this to my life by forgiving the ones who hurt me and try to put the burden of others on me.
I can apply this to my life by not being afraid to tell the priest all my sins when in confession or showing others that I care no matter what they have done to me
We should be humble in all that we do. Instead of being ignorant, like the pharisee, we should be grateful and humbled by Jesus’ will to forgive. This is a message that we should all take home and reflect about even deeper to see if we are grateful like the sinner woman for the forgiveness of our sins.
I can apply this to my life by not letting my sin become bad habits to where I’m doing the same sin over and over again
I can apply this to my life by forgiving others even if I want to hold a grudge.
if you show love and kindness you will be forgiven
We can go to confession weekly, it will help us be forgiven.
to have more humility in our lives.
The passage teaches not to be greedy.
The thing that Jesus said about the dept really put things in perspective to show that no matter how many times we sin it can always be forgiven if we love God with our heart mind and soul
We need to forgive more people and always ask for forgiveness.
I can apply this to my life by worshiping Jesus when no one else is.
This teaches us that God will always forgive us.
I will humble my self before God because he didn’t need to make us but he did.
God forgives our sins those with mortal sins thank God more than those with venial sins.
As Catholics we should flock to God in large herds and let him come into our boat. This passage today teaches us that Jesus loves more than anyone ever will and will always be ready to forgive us when we sin.
I can apply this to my life by not holding grudges and learn to forgive others. We shouldn’t hold grudges, because we have sinned countless times, and every time God has forgiven us.
I think this is one example of just how much we need God. In this aspect, he shows us how to love one another, because if not forgiving how can we love one another. This prevents our relationship from furthering, and God loves us through thick and thin, and whatever we may do; he will never feel hatred for us. So may we to be like this in God’s image and likeness in which we were created to follow what he does, and so we must be forgiving of each other, and show love to one another in this manner.
I can apply this to my life by loving my neighbor as myself and not holding grudges. i need to give God more praise for what he does for me and everyone. We need to be merciful so we can get to heaven. And let others forgive us and we need to forgive them too.
I can apply this to my life by forgiving others if they have hurt me. Also to listen to others peoples opinions even if I think it is wrong and to not be selfish to them.
Jesus is telling us today that if we do not have love and mercy for others that we will not be able to enter into heaven with him. We need to always remember that no matter what we do God will always forgive us if we are truly sorry. Also Jesus is telling us that we need to love God and out God above all others.
Personally. I need to work on being completely sorry for my sins. The way I have grown up, and the mindset I have had for years is always, “God will just always forgive me.” I need to release and be like the woman, to be sorry for my sins.
Jesus will forgive any and all of us. It does not matter if we did something serious as torchering and killing something or something small as thinking something bad a bout another person. He is our teacher who will guide us when we need to ask for help. We shouldn’t think badly of anyone who does ask for help.
Jesus says that without love and mercy, one will not enter Heaven. We should forgive others and humble ourselves.
I can use this today to forgive anyone and to be kind to anyone who comes to me.
Today God is telling us to forgive more. To do this all we need to do is stop acting like babies and stop being so dramatic and by doing that you can just be the better man or woman by just forgiving that person instead of making everything about yourself.
The woman is hoping for forgiveness and goes and anoints Jesus’s feet. we can’t anoint his feet physically but by going to mass and worshiping him we can do it spiritually. We need to be more like this woman and praise the hoping he will forgive us, because he has no need for us and there for should pretend we don’t exist because of all that we did to him and his son. but he loves us and wants us to be with him in Heaven.
I can apply this in my life by when someone forgives me even if it’s something small like just maybe saying something rude that I didn’t think was rude to praise them. Forgiving is hard and God forgives you every day and you should praise him for that. Forgiving is one of the most important things don’t take advantage of it.
I can apply this to my life by forgiving the ones who have hurt me, even when it’s hard to. I need to move on and not look back. I need to make sure I am truly sorry for my sins, and try to do better.
I think that this is telling me that I need to forgive others. Not only that, I need to go to confession. I’m afraid sometimes to go to confession but I know that God will always forgive me. I also need to be humle to others and I hope that others will do the same to me back.
We have to be humble and make God the center of out lives. We have to recognize that we are imperfect and can easily make mistakes, but God is perfect and will not mess up if we just trust in Him. We also have to be able to forgive our enemies, if we are unwilling to forgive, then we will not make it to Heaven. The only way for us to get to Heaven is for us to be humble and be willing to forgive.
I can apply this to my life by opening my eyes, and my heart, to God more often. God has shown us great love and mercy, so we need to thank Him in return. We should humble ourselves, come to Him and ask for forgiveness. We are sinful people just like the woman in the passage, therefore, we should ask for forgiveness more often, and be open to God’s call.
In this story, the woman is a sinner but gave respect to God by washing his feet with tears, wiping the feet with hair, and anointing his feet with ointment. She humiliated herself in front of all these people for God and to worship him. Then Peter who is following God but when Jesus entered his house he did not do any of those things for him. This story shows that it doesn’t matter how good you look or the way you act it matters on how you act towards God. You could be some jock at school and every one talks to you and gives you their attention, but that doesn’t matter if you do not worship God like the woman in this story did.
I am a terrible forgiver , if you do something to me I’ll hold a grudge but act like nothing happened. When in reality I’m actually still mad at you. I’ll say “Oh it’s okay or Oh it’s whatever” but I actually won’t feel that way. I need to generally forgive people that have done bad things to me. I need to forgive and forget. Just like Jesus did , he forgave the girl for her sins and whatever she did. He forgives people for everything.
God is merciful, and we should also be merciful like Him. If I expect God to forgive me, I must learn to be forgiving to others.
We must be humble when asking God for forgiveness. We have to recognize that confession is a gift that shouldn’t be abused. We shouldn’t be afraid to confess our sins because God won’t judge us.
I can apply this to my life by trying to forgive. Forgiving is not easy. But, if you do forgive, there will be no one for you to by angry, or upset at, and I think this lifts a burden off peoples’ shoulders if they start forgiving and stop holding grudges.
We need to learn to forgive in order to get to heaven. We need to forgive others like how God forgives us of our sins.
We need to forgive people and to not hold grudges. We also need to serve one another through God.
I can apply this to my life by forgiving more and not holding grudges. And remembering that Jesus always forgives us, so we need to forgive others as Jesus does to us.
Jesus says that we need to forgive even the worst of sinners and to pay back our debts.
Also, we should go to confession to be forgiven. That will help us forgive.
we need to realize what we have and how lucky we are to have the stuff we have and go to the school we go to and not take it for granted because when you do that it shows your not thankful for what you have and we need to be thankful for what we have and what God has given us and we also need to realize how lucky we are to have the people in our life and what they do for us is good and to know that whatever happens we need to forgive them and forgive each other and pray so that we all can grow closer to God and just thank God for all the amazing things he has done for us
I have a problem finding it wrong when i disobey. My mom wants me to run at least once a day but i say no because i want to do what want to do which is not OK and i don’t feel sorry most of the time which is a problem. I need to apply this to myself by trying and being sorry for any sins i commit big or small. That way i can improve my faith
I learned to forgive like Jesus. I also learned that God forgives no matter how big the sin is.
Jesus us telling me to grow in the virtue of humility. To be selfless and to remember we’re nothing compared to God and to always remember, what can we do to serve God and help others?
Its telling me that I need to be forgiving toward others even if they’re not forgiving toward me. It’s also saying that I need to go to confession more even though I don’t want to go to confession or when I’m scared to go to confession.
God will always forgive us and He will never not forgive us. We should be truly sorry about are sins like the woman and not be afraid to ask for forgiveness from God. I will try to not argue when I think I’m right and also admit when I’m wrong.
We need to be like the woman in the story. We need to run to God and wash his feet, cry at his feet. We need to love God, and He doesn’t need us we need Him. We really need to want forgiveness from God, not just go to confession because we have to in school. We need to go because we yearn for Jesus’ forgiveness.
I can apply this to my life by being humble and selfless, and know that we all make mistakes. We need to forgive like how God has forgiven us. I need to work on being more confident about telling my sins to God because he knows all of our sins, and be more repentant towards my sins.
Forgiveness is a key thing in life. God forgives us for all our faults. We should do the same. Imagine a world where there is no forgiveness, no “forgive and forget”. What a hateful world. Families torn apart for a simple mistake. We don’t know how long we have on this Earth, so make it enjoyable for someone else, even those who must beg your forgiveness.
We need God and He is willing to give Himself to us. We need to ask for it though. We also need to put God in the center of our lives and move material things out of that place.
We all need to strive to not talk about, put-down, gossip about, or strip a person of their identity. If someone has done something we didn’t like or didn’t think was cool doesn’t mean we do any of the things stated before, we just forgive and forget. We can talk to them and get to know them better so you get the best of both worlds! GOD has never done anything rude, mean, unforgivable to us so why are we doing it to other people who have GOD it there soul, body, and mind? Rethink your bad relationships with people and change them so you gain a friendship and you don’t have to hold a grudge. Life is a lot less stressful when you love all and you have a good support system, which happens when you have good friends! This reached my heart and I hope it reached yours too!
This reading stands out to me saying that if you say “I love you”, but you do not forgive them of their faults against you you do not really love them. Or if you say “You are my friend” , but do not forgive them for their faults against you, you are lying. You can not love anyone who you cannot forgive.
God can forgive the worst of sins.
God will always forgive us no matter what we do. God loves us and cares for us and wants us to have his grace.
I can apply this to my life by forgiving others. Also by listening to God when he gives me signs.
I need to be like the women who went back to Jesus because he is always forgiving. The lord loves me so I should love him.
We need to be truthfully sorry for our sins. When we go to confession we are wiping are sins away to become more holy more like Christ and closer to God
I think that this is trying to tell that we shouldn’t hold grudges and forgive everyone.
Jesus is teaching us that no matter how sinful you are he will always forgive you. He is always ready to forgive and give his grace to you.He also teaches us that without love and mercy we cannot enter heaven.
This teaches us that no matter what we have done God will forgive us if we are truly sorry. This also shows that we must love and be thankful that we are forgiven and that Jesus died so that we can be forgiven.
We need to reflect on jesus’s scriptures and to forgive our enimies. Show kindness and sempathy towards others
Jesus teaches us that without love and mercy, we will not enter Heaven. Also, we need to humbly submit ourselves to God and know that He forgives us everyday so we need to forgive others just as He has forgiven us.
I think this means to be more humble like Christ. We have a problem of judging others and we really need to stop because we are all made in Christs image and likeness. We need to be more obedient to God and listen for his call to us. We need to be ready for anything God might give us.
This is saying that Jesus will forgive us for our sins if we are sorry for them. Jesus cares about us so much that he will forgive us so we can go to Heaven.
Find your own flaws before you judge someone else of their flaws. Don’t be too quick to judge.
This journal is teaching us to forgive and be willing to fess up and be forgave. We should use this journal as helpful hints and clues to love one another and forgive others like how God forgave us and our sins when we go to confession.
Jesus is telling us that even if we have sinned a lot he loves us the same as everyone else. He’s also saying we need to ask for forgiveness for every sin.
Jesus is teaching us that we can´t go to heaven with out mercy and love. We are sinners so we should repay those sins in confession. We should also repay him by trying to do more for him every day. The more we sin is the more times we have to repay, so don´t be scared in asking for forgiveness because he has mercy and love towards us. We wouldn´t be here if it wasn´t for him always loving us.
God is in our lives. Today Jesus say’s that without mercy and love we are not able to get into the kingdom of God.
Jesus want to be friends with you but everybody including myself likes to turn away from him. Only the realest people on this earth turn towards him. We all turn towards him at sometime but in different situations so we should all start turning to him for everything
I think i could put this into my life by not being selfless and not telling lies to people
That God will always for help us. even in the bad times. every thing happens for a reason
I should be like the sinful woman. I should do this because even though she sinned, she was sorry and wanted forgiveness
This passage teaches us not to be greedy and that we need to pray for our sins and go to confession
I cam apply this to my life by being humble and selfless.
Although we sin a lot as humans, God will always love you and forgive you. We can forgive others who have wronged us as Christ forgives us. It takes courage to forgive someone who has wronged you, but in doing so you become more like Christl
I think that it teaches us that we need to forgive others like God forgives us.
this scripture passage tells us that even if we are very very sinful being forgiven is one of the greatest feelings you can have and we should be constantly striving to repent an to not repeatedly judge others and sin the same sin
I could apply this passage to my life by forgiving more. I often times hold grudges and I need to try to be more kind to others around me.
God wants to forgive us. In the Gospel, Jesus tells the Pharisee that if Someone forgave the debt of a person owing five days wages and a person owing fifty days wages, the person to whom more debt was forgiven would love him more. This is how Jesus want us. He is willing to forgive all of our sins, from the really big ones to all of the tiny little ones, but he can only forgive us if, like the woman we are truly sorry, and ask to be forgiven. He wants to forgive everything so that we will love him as much as humanly possible.
I can apply this to my life by going to confession more often and forgiving and not judging others even if they’ve done something bad to me.
This Gospel teaches us today if we don’t love we don’t have a high risk of going to heaven. That also means if we don’t have the courage to forgive and be thankful for everything we have we are far from being what God wants us to be. We should love God as much as he loved us.
I love this story so very much, it teaches me to forgive others especially my siblings. All I would do to them if they made me mad is hit them or ACT LIKE THE GRINCH! No, that is SOOO not what we are suppose to do, If God forgave the sinful women, I can forgive many people by acting more kind to them, (especially my siblings) and to act like Christ.
I will apply this to my life by not holding grudges against anyone, and learn to forgive and forget. I need to treat everyone with love and mercy, otherwise I won’t get to Heaven.
And I can apply this to my life by forgiving others rather than scowling them about what they did because you’ve probably done the same sins too.
We need to be more sorry for our sins because sometimes we aren’t as sorry as we say we are. We need to know that we can trust in God for him to forgive us and still love us.
This is telling us that God knows our sins and he is willing to forgive them if we are willing to admit them and repent. I can apply this to my life by going to confession more often.
No matter how big or small we have sin we should always give the most thanks to the lord for forgiveness.
Ha Ha! You know what, I suck at forgiving too. Sometimes we need God to slap us back into reality. And he does that through my parents. A lot.
We have to be able to understand that even the worst sins can be forgave by God and we need to have love and mercy to enter heaven.
Jesus will always forgive and love you even if you sin a lot
Someone who has great faith and mercy is what God has created us to be; by drenching ourselves among more vast subjects, (religious) it permits us to go above and beyond or to greater depths submerged in our faith.
What effort we give to God he will give to us we always need to trust him and believe in what God says knowing he is our savior and will always be with us
We should treat our neighbors kindly. God needs nothing but we need him.
i believe that we need to ask for forgiveness for our sins like the sinful woman.
forgive everyone
This is trying to teach everyone to forgive everyone
Don’t be quick to judge people and forgive everyone.
We need to forgive others and try our best to go to confession.
This teaches me all sinners can be forgiven
Jesus will always forgive us so we should forgive just like him.
I think that this piece of scripture is important to remember because I feel like if someone takes away a huge burden from you, you should rejoice and praise the person.
Jesus will forgive us no matter what we do. We can apply this to our lives by trying to be more like Christ and more kind
I think that this scripture passage is telling us that we must present ourselves to God in order to be forgiven.
I can imply this in my life by being kind to others and not leaving my faith behind.
