“AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, WHATEVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THESE LEAST BROTHERS OF MINE, YOU DID FOR ME.” MT 25:31-46
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus said to his disciples:
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory,
and all the angels with him,
he will sit upon his glorious throne,
and all the nations will be assembled before him.
And he will separate them one from another,
as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Then the king will say to those on his right,
‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father.
Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you clothed me,
ill and you cared for me,
in prison and you visited me.’
Then the righteous will answer him and say,
‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you,
or thirsty and give you drink?
When did we see you a stranger and welcome you,
or naked and clothe you?
When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’
And the king will say to them in reply,
‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did
for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’
Then he will say to those on his left,
‘Depart from me, you accursed,
into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.
For I was hungry and you gave me no food,
I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,
a stranger and you gave me no welcome,
naked and you gave me no clothing,
ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.’
Then they will answer and say,
‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty
or a stranger or naked or ill or in prison,
and not minister to your needs?’
He will answer them, ‘Amen, I say to you,
what you did not do for one of these least ones,
you did not do for me.’
And these will go off to eternal punishment,
but the righteous to eternal life.” MT 25:31-46
Today, Jesus teaches us that when we do something for the “least brothers of mine, you did for me.” Who are the least brothers? I was surprised when I read the side note that this is up for much debate among Scripture Scholars. Many believed it to be the suffering of Christian missionaries. This Scripture is pointed towards the Gentiles and Jews.
What can we take away from it? Jesus wants us to love through our actions, St. Francis says “when needed use words.” It is difficult to say that one act of love is greater than another, but when we give from our heart to the unlovable or when we do something simple for those in our homes, it is love. This Lent, after 40 days, reflect on whether you became a more loving person. If your fast isn’t leading you to loving more, then stop it, sit in silence and ask Jesus what fast will help you be a more loving person.
Whether we do what St. Francis Xavier, patron of missions did, or St. Francis of Assisi who literally begged with the poor while taking care of them, or St. Therese of Liseux, who did little acts of love in a convent, it was the intention of their hearts to imitate Christ. We group and label people as the least among us, in God’s eyes we have equal dignity and we are all sinners who need His mercy. Are there different levels of need around us? Yes, and through reason we know it takes a greater effort and mercy to reach those on the fringes of society who may be getting what we think they deserve.
If no one is left to give them hope, they are hopeless. Jesus is the hope of the hopeless and asks us to give of ourselves in an even greater way. As sinners, we cannot get what we deserve because Christ took our place. This is sacrificial love. When we imitate Christ, we too share this sacrificial love by taking care of those who do not deserve it.
We do this when we love our families, friends, those in our parish, and take care of those in our communities. Christ is the King of the Universe, the most powerful, and what makes Him so powerful is sacrificial love. Amazing! Humble! Undeserving! Oh how I need this and yearn to give like Him.
Today’s challenge: Make yourself uncomfortable by sharing the Good News with someone or giving to those on the fringes of society. Don’t forget those in need right next to you! Love the unlovable!
Be a servant, become a saint!

I think God is hinting at judgement day when we die. I think this is what he is trying to get at by telling us if we visited him or we didn’t. I don’t think he is going to judge us on those things but what we did in our life was like the good and bad. Jesus also said that what we do to people like be nice or harm them we do to him.
In this Gospel, Jesus tells us that He will separate the goats and the sheep. In order to be placed as a sheep we must serve. We need to help those in need because everyone has Jesus inside of them. When we help a poor guy on the street, we help Jesus. We need to be the ones serving others to be great in the kingdom of God.
We should be kind to others but not because, “whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” We should be kind because it is the right and holy thing to do. If we do it because of this or because we want to show kindness. We should be sincere with our actions.
What reached out to me was when it said, “a stranger and you welcomed me”. What this means to me is that as Catholics we are called to be the stranger in the Gospel. We are called to welcome and care for other people, no matter who they are or what they’ve done.
jesus is allwas hear whithis angol and spreet to sh owus hove to share kindnis
Jesus wants us to be with Him in all that we think, say, and do. When we help another person or give of ourselves in help to them, we are showing love to God. God is in every single person, young and old, poor and rich, and all we have to do is give them a few minutes, seconds of our time to hold open a door or to say hi. By doing simple, small acts of kindness to others, it can amount to great rewards in Heaven.
Jesus tells us to treat one another with love and kindness. We are all brothers and sisters through Christ because God is in us all. We need to treat people how we would treat Jesus because He is in us. We need to respect and care for one another.
Today’s scripture passage is one that we all need to hear and recognize. The main message I got from this is to treat people with respect. God created EVERYONE in his image and in his likeness, just because they don´t look like you or don´t like the same things you like doesn´t mean they are horrible and should be treated differently. Our world needs to know that just because people are different they still want and need the same love and respect. Treat others as you would if Jesus was in front of you. Everyone wants to feel loved, so start showing love and it most definitely will return.
In today’s reading I see it as Jesus is inside of all our friends, family, students, teachers, ect. And how we treat our fellow peers in how we treat Jesus because Jesus is inside every one of us every day. Some people lose faith but they can never lose Jesus in their soul.
I think this scripture is saying that Jesus loves us no matter what and God will care for us if we are a sinner or a saint if we are clothed or naked, full or hungry. It doesn’t matter if he loves us all the same amount.
God wants us to spread the good news. We often hold back from spreading God’s word because of the society we live in. Society tells us that our God is make believe, that it doesn’t make sense, but we know it all makes sense. We know that heaven is real. Society can destroy our faith but only if we let it. Nothing is more powerful than God. There isn’t anything to stop us from spreading God’s love and being holy. Sometimes we feel like we have to give up our faith, when we don’t really have to.
What we don’t do to others on the earth is how we would treat God on the earth. People are filled with the holy spirit and we need to treat others the way we would treat God. Jesus wants us to treat everyone the way he would want us to treat him.
In the second coming, we will be judged. Those who are holy on Earth will go to Heaven, and those who are not will go to Hell. We should do the things Jesus asks of us, and confess our sins. Even though Jesus will still love us no matter what, we should still strive to be Holy and a disciple of Him.
Jesus is a part of all of us. He is us, what is done to us is done to him. When we bully someone and ridicule them, we are hurting a part of Jesus. How we treat others is how we treat Jesus. This is God’s way of knowing how kind we are. Follow the Golden Rule and treat others how you want to be treated because being kind to others is being kind to our Savior.
What I hear from this scripture is God is in everyone of us. We don’t even realize it but He is and we are all out here and treating one another terribly. We are treating Jesus with disrespect because He is always there. We need to open our eyes and follow the Golden Commandment.
In todays scripture we learn that we will be judged on judgment day. God has gave us everything imaginable all he wants in return our love for one another we need to be kind and loving to everyone surrounding you. He will come any second, day, night, or any time that is right for him to return and judge us.
Jesus loves us very much and he wants us to make it to heaven so that way we can have eternal peace with him and the father. A way we can earn eternal life with him is by spreading the gospel.
God made everyone in his image and likeness so when we hurt or make fun of someone we are also hurting God. He is a part of all of us he is in us what we do is what we do unto him.
We must help anybody in any way we can. So that if we do that good deed, not to go and brag about it, but to do it again. Because if we live like that and help in any way we can then we will get to Heaven because Jesus said this, Come, you who are blessed by my Father.
Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you clothed me,
ill and you cared for me,
in prison and you visited me.
God sees all and knows all. There is no hiding from God. We will pay for what we do if it’s not on earth. God made us to die. So we can go back to the father.
I think that Jesus is saying that he will love us no matter what even if we are sinners. He will love us all the same.
In today’s gospel I think it’s saying that when we show love for others and do what is asked from us then we are showing our love for God. So the ones on his left departed from him because they did not show love towards others which is not showing love for him.
When we are in sin we are not at peace. We obviously have to go to confession and do our penance and ext. But we must love our neighbor, we must do good things such as something as simple as helping clean up the church or help with the chores around the house or something that only give you happiness in return. Well why not money, money is a material thing and we don’t take up money to heaven do we.
‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’ And the king will say to them in reply, Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ The holy spirit is inside of us, so God is in us. If we pass by someone who is homeless and ignore them, you are doing that to God. God wants us to love everyone and for us to help each other get to him. God is inside of everyone and he what you do to anyone you do to God.
Jesus says we must treat others with respect, we are all brothers and sisters, we share one God, and he loves all. When we are kind and respectful to others they learn to respect us. Even just by doing a random act of kindness, can make someones day special and meaningful to them, and know their are people who care about them.
We don’t deserve any of this that God has given us as humans we deserve hell but Jesus died for us so that we have that chance. The gospel also tells us to be kind to one another, for that whatever you did for these least brothers of mine you did that for me. What Jesus says to his disciples he says to us to.
We need to be holy and kind to others, not just when we want something from them or are trying to bribe them, but we need to be kind because it is the holy and right thing to do. He will see it all on judgement day, so we need to be holy towards others, even our enemies.
If we take care of someone we are taking care of God. We need to take care of people to get into heaven. If we don’t care to look are eagnolege them we will burn and live a horrible eternity. But no matter how big or small of a thing you do as long as it’s good it will help you pave your path to heaven
he says whatever you do to the least of me, you do to me. this is interesting because that means that he is feeling everything. and that must be so hard.
Today’s Gospel tells us not only to love God (The First Great Commandment), but to love your Neighbor or “His brother” (The Second Great Commandment). He tells us that what we do or not do to our neighbor we do or not do to Him. In the Gospel he talks about what will happen at the second coming.
Today the scripture is telling me that Jesus loves us very much and also we have to love Jesus. We have to love everyone and most importantly we can do a great deed which is helping the homeless. We can help them by getting food and clothes.
That everyone has a role to take care of. And the second coming.
I think in this scripture reflection is hes trying to tell us and hint to us on judgment day that you have to start praying to him now and doing the right thing because when judgment day comes your not gonna be able to change anything and your gonna be stuck with it forever.
For this lent we should go to church or somewhere you are comfortable and open your heart to Jesus whether you feel comfortable or not you should talk to him.
I think this scripture is saying that Jesus loves us no matter what and God will care for us if we are a sinner or a saint if we are clothed or naked, full or hungry. It doesn’t matter if he loves us all the same amount.
‘Depart from me, you accursed,
into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.
For I was hungry and you gave me no food,
I was thirsty and you gave me no drink
This part shows that to get into Jesus’s kingdom, we must not only believe in him, but accept him. Not really in a physical sense, but spiritually, we must accept him into our lives, and in communion, accept him into our bodies.
What stuck out to me was Jesus wants us to love through our actions It is difficult to say that one act of love is greater than another, but when we give from our heart to the unlovable or when we do something simple for those in our homes, it is love. This Lent, after 40 days, reflect on whether you became a more loving person. If your fast isn’t leading you to loving more, then stop it, sit in silence and ask Jesus what fast will help you be a more loving person. this stuck out to me because you could fast by not eating sweets but is that going to make you a more loving person probably no you need to find something that with help you to grow in your faith and that will help you to be kinder or more loving.
I think the scripture today is saying that Jesus judges off what we do and how we act towards others. Here it says we don’t have to be a nun or priest to get to heaven . It says we have to live according to being a good person. Helping the homeless and ill is how we get to heaven, Yes and praying and going to mass, but i feel like Jesus wants us to serve people and be open to helping everyone more than anything because that’s what Jesus did we helped everyone who came to him. That’s why we have to strive to do so in our lives.
Jesus tells us that He will separate the goats and the sheep. For us to be placed as a sheep we must serve others and help those in need because everyone has Jesus inside of them. When we help a stranger on the street, we help Jesus. We need to be the ones serving others to be in the kingdom of God.
This Gospel is telling us about your neighbor. He tells us that what you do to my neighbor is what you do to me. He is telling us to treat everybody the same way. Even the people you don’t like still treat them like Jesus is in them because Jesus is in all of us.
In today’s scripture God tells us that whatever we do to anybody it’s like we are doing it to God and all of our actions and thoughts towards others God knows them and it is like we are saying them to him so always be kind.
what i got from this passage was how god will always call oout is just your job to listen therefor many are chosen and few are called god loves us all very much and how we need to be ready for judgement day for when we are called home to live in peace and happeneis for etarnal life.
I think what God is trying to say is we should always do better to someone than them doing better for you. God did so much for us but, we did nothing in return but, he still loves us and forgives us.
We do this when we love our families, friends, those in our parish, and take care of those in our communities and nice to everyone even if they are a different religion. when they should be loving back to you and right now we are lent and we should be more kind and loving. If your fast isn’t leading to loving more, then stop it, sit in silence and ask Jesus what fast will help you be a more loving person. You need to also give something up that is hard and not super easy because Jesus being nailed to the cross easy at all.
so the least we can do is to give up something we like to have or eat and drink.
Everyone has God inside of them, so if we are being disrespectful or mean to somebody we are being disrespectful to God. God fells everything and sees everything, He knows what you have and will do.
When we see someone who most think of as lesser, help them. When we see the homeless, pray for them or give them something. Just because they are in a bad situation doesn’t mean they are lesser than us. The last shall be first and the first shall be last. Help those in need and you will be happy. Be like Jesus and help everyone. There will always be people struggling in our world but it is up to us if we can help them get to heaven.
This is kind of pointing toward when we will get Judged. He shows us all the times we helped him, and all the times we chose other things over Him
As Christians we have to try our best to love people who never get loved. It´s hard to do this sometimes because we have so many struggles in our own lives. We need to acknowledge that everyone is made by God and loved by God. Every life matters. Lent is the perfect time to push ourselves to help others. Lent is the perfect time to get out of our comfort zone, especially for the need of others.
Jesus is with us always. God knows what you are going threw. This scripture was telling us that he will separate his goats from his sheep.
This Gospel today simply goes to show that Christ lives in each one of us, and we need to realize that everything we do, we do to Christ. We need to treat others as we would treat Christ, as they ARE Christ. Love others, and in doing so, you will show Christ your love for Him as well.
I think this scripture is about when Jesus will come again and he will separate the sinners from the saints. If we are good people on earth we will be rewarded. But if not we will be punished. Jesus wants us to act as he did.
When we love our neighbor, whether our best friend or a stranger off the street, we are loving Jesus. When we ignore others, we are ignoring Jesus. We should always love our neighbor because Jesus is inside everyone, and He loves all. When judgement day comes, and we have ignored our neighbors and enemies, we will not be welcome into God’s Kingdom, but if we have loved our neighbors and enemies, we will be granted with eternal life.
I think the point of this passage is that when we do things to others, it is like we are doing it to God. If we are kind and loving to others and respect them, we are respecting God too. We should treat everyone how we would want them to treat us, and try to follow God’s example.
what i got out of today ´ s scripture was that we have a choice. we have the choice to believe and love god and help others and follow the word of God. If we choose not to follow him by sinning and not believing, those are the people who god will not allow into the kingdom of God. God will always forgive you no matter what you do all you have to do is believe in him and he will help lead you to the kingdom of heaven.
what the scripture is telling me is that jesus is within everybody and we should treat everyone the same now matter how much you dislike someone or where they are from. jesus is an example of what we should strive to be and on judgment day he will look upon us to see how well we tried to resemble him.
I think this gospel is telling us to love one another and be kind. Being kind creates relationships with not only the person but with Jesus. He tells us to treat one another like you would yourself and in reward you get friends to laugh and enjoy life with. This is the message God encourages us to do with our friends that we love.
“For I was hungry and you gave me food,I was thirsty and you gave me drink,a stranger and you welcomed me,naked and you clothed me,ill and you cared for me,in prison and you visited me.’” This stuck out to me that God will always take care of you and will always be there. When you hate yourself or are full of sin he is still there. Caring for you.
Jesus is always there for us when we need him. Jesus helps us stay away from sin and stay close to him. We need Jesus to have a good life.
Everyone has God in them. We should treat each other with respect no matter what they look like. God is always watching us and we will be judged when the day comes.
We are all children of God. When we disrespect someone in any way, shape, or form we disrespect God. God did not want us to hate and not care for each other but we need to love one another. We always need to think if God will do this. When we see someone don’t ignore them and be rude but be kind and loving for God will judge us.
I think that this is saying that Jesus is a part of us. He has been part of us since the day we are born. Jesus is always there for us and will be every step of our life. We just have to believe that he is here in our presence
Love your neighbor as yourself. You can help your neighbors by praying for them, visiting them, or just making them feel like they are loved. Many aren’t as lucky as you to have a home so be kind to those of you that don’t have what you have.
God is warning us in today’s gospel. We need to prepare for judgment day. Our whole life leads up to judgment day.
“And he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the king will say to those on his right.” This has meaning because we all believe in things. We believe in God the Father. We believe everything about our faith. We believe that Jesus died for us. All of this is true God will separate the good from the bad basically meaning people who need to be put on the right track with God and their faith so they can eventually be put with the sheep.
‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ What we do to people really matters, what we say and how we act affects everyone God too, when we hurt other we hurt God, them, and us. We should be mindful of what we do to people because it effects their soul and ours.
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’ Then the righteous will answer him and say,” What I’m getting from this is that we shall help the people that need us, that need our help. Instead of turning our backs to one and another we should help each other. Help those who seek help.
In this scripture Jesus says
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory,
and all the angels with him,
he will sit upon his glorious throne,
and all the nations will be assembled before him.
I think this means that we need to be ready for Jesus’s coming so we can go to Heaven with Him when he comes down to save us all.
“whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me” was the phrase that stuck out to me most. We have heard this so many times throughout our lives, “whatsoever you do to the least of my people, that you do unto me”. Jesus wants us to show compassion to people. no matter their social status. He is in everyone, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is within us, so if we hurt someone, we hurt Him.
“Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” Things we do to other people do have an effect on their life. Something you say that might make you feel big might make someone else feel small. Jesus say that if we disrespect even the least among us, then we disrespect him.
In today’s scripture I think it is saying that we should treat everyone like they are God and like they have feelings too. Sometimes when we are mean to someone and don’t even realize the significance that action could have on someone. If we hurt someones feelings we are hurting God to, but if we help and love someone we are helping and loving God. Whatever we do to our neighbor we are doing to God.
“‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’” How we treat others shows how we value God’s creation, and God himself. We must not only follow the golden rule, but we also have to follow God’s will. When we treat others with kindness, we do God’s will.
We stuggle in our daily life. We discriminate peopl just because they are different than us, even if those differences are very minor. But we must treat not only those people, but everybody with the same respect we treat God with. God created us in his image, therefore discriminating someone is discriminating our Lord and father. We must settle our differences and live as one, for that is one major step to get into heaven.
I think the scripture is saying, that it is important to not only care for those we love and personally know, but to also care for and love those we do not know who are in need. For whatever we do to the least of God’s people and creation we do to Him. We must always treat His creation with respect, even if it ourselves or somebody we do not like.
“‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me’.” This is a very good message. Jesus is in us. He’s in our hearts. He is also in other peoples hearts too. So, when we hurt someone we hurt Christ. When we bring someone down with our words, we bring down our Lord. When we care for others, we are caring for Jesus. We bring down people so much just so we can bring ourselves up. We need to stop sinning, trust in Jesus and be like Him.
Jesus today talks about helping people. ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’
This shows the connection between Jesus, ourselves and other people. It is stated in the catholic faith many times that we all were made to help another and to care for each other. Jesus is showing how we should care for other people no matter what they look like, how rich they are, or how they look. We should try to care for everyone. Because when you care for someone else you are caring for God’s creation. We are all made in the image and likeness of God.
It is saying that we should love one another. Jesus is teaching us to show our kindness to each other and be thankful for everything that they might have done for us.
“Come, you who are blessed by my Father.Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” I feel like this scripture is saying that we need to help everyone. When someone asks us for help I believe it is God giving us a challenge to help our brothers and sisters. We need to try and help everyone we can because we never know if it’s Jesus.
I think the Scripture is saying judgement day will come. The day will come when it is decided whether we go to Heaven or not. Heaven is the goal. Our life’s goal should be to get to Heaven to be with God. Goals come with challenges that we have to defeat. We have to resist temptation. The devil is always tempting us, and we have to remember what temptation Jesus went through. Jesus was tempted in the desert for 40 days. We cannot imagine what that was like. If we are ever tempted we need to remember Jesus who fought temptation.
This scripture is talking about how Jesus told his disciples that there will be day when all the nation will come together some wills it on the left and some on right and he then explains how the ones on the right will be going with him to heaven and how they took care of him but the ones on the left who did not help him would not be going to heaven instead they would be going to hell. which tells us that we should help and be more loving to others.
Jesus is in everyone of us, so we need to treat others how we would treat God. If we hurt a person, we hurt God. If we are mean to a friend, we are mean to God. If we are disobedient to a person, we are disobedient towards God. Treat everyone like God even when it is hard. Don’t lie to yourself and say it doesn’t matter, because it does.
We are called by God to care for those near us. That includes all of our family members, friends, enemies, teachers, coaches, priests, etc., we respect and honor them. We are called to care for those that are maybe not the most popular, are mean to us, aren’t “cool,” or maybe are less fortunate than us. Those who are “in need,” are our responsibility. Let us never think that it is someone else’s job to care for them. Even if we aren’t called to go to India and serve those in the slums, we can serve in two practical ways. We can donate, and PRAY. Prayer is something that a young adult can do. We can pray for the suffering. We can pray for those serving the poor and homeless. Our prayer, though it may seem insignificant, makes a difference. But only you can make that choice. Choose to serve. Choose to help those around you. Choose to love your neighbor. Choose to be the one who helps the suffering. Choose to make an impact on someone else. Choose to be different and love those around you.
Today’s scripture passage is one that we all need to hear and recognize. The main message I got from this is to treat people with respect. God created EVERYONE in his image and in his likeness, just because they don´t look like you or don´t like the same things you like doesn´t mean they are horrible and should be treated differently.
For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you clothed me,
ill and you cared for me,
in prison and you visited me
God is always looking after us he is always with us and always caring for us
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me. This stuck out to me because God has done so much for us so we need to give back to him by praising and sharing our faith.
I think God is trying to tell me that we may be separated from each country now but when we go to Heaven we will be one unified country
“for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” I think we need to live by this more. We need to help people who cant help themselves so they can learn about christ and that we too can live a better christain lifea
“All the nations will be assembled before him.” this phrase truly shows how unfathomably powerful Jesus/God is.
AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, WHATEVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THESE LEAST BROTHERS OF MINE, YOU DID FOR ME.What i think of when i read this is love your neighbor as you love yourself and how you treat others with respect.
I love this because it show that you need to submit you will to God and to always love him like he does to us. he will never stop no matter what and he will always care for us he has his plan for us and we need to fill that plan
The Son of Man will come. No one knows when except God. but we need to be prepared. The spiritual and Corporal works of mercy are the things that Jesus mentioned in this reading. Clothe the naked, Feed the hungry, and so on. But we often think that If we don’t, who will see? God. And who knows, that might even be an angel in disguise. We know nothing, so we have to trust, prepare, and love God. When God comes, I hope we are ready to receive Him.
Today the scripture said to me that we should love everyone no matter what. We do this because what we do to other people we do to God. So we should not hate others or hurt or gossip because it is like you are hating or hurting or gossiping about God which is really really bad. Treat others as you want to be treated and treat others with kindness.
Jesus didn’t have to save us. But he did, if Jesus chose to save us we should choose to love Him. Even if we don’t love Jesus He will always love us. Jesus is our Savior and we should always be grateful for that. ‘He shall put the sheep on His right and the goats his left.΅
As sinners, we cannot get what we deserve because Christ took our place. He took the punishment for us, so that we may believe in him. We need to be able to take up our cross, so that we may enter Heaven.
Jesus loves us he came down to earth and died on the cross and then came back from the dead on the third day and forgave us and still loves us. No matter what we do God will always love us.
“Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.” We need to treat everyone with respect. God loves us all and expects us to treat everyone like they are Jesus. We need to help those who are struggling and help them to their feet. We must treat others how we want to be treated.
“And he will separate them one from another,as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.” This stuck out to me because he is saying that the people who haven’t sinned will be on His right and go to Heaven and those who have sinned will be on His left and go to “eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.” He wants us to help people on Earth because He is in the people on Earth and if we don’t help others then we will be on His left side like the goats are on the left side of the shepherd. When we help others we will be on His right like the sheep are on the right of the shepherd.
These will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. This stuck out to me because it’s saying the is righteous will go to haven and who is not righteous will not go but I think that being righteous person is also being a loving/caring person.
I thought the scripture was very powerful. I dont know how, but there was something just powerful about the scripture. The line that did stick out to me was: “And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” because if we dont serve The Lord, we would have eternal life but if we do, we will have eternal life.
Jesus wants us to love through our actions, St. Francis says “when needed use words.” This really speaks to me since he shows his love through him suffering and through his every action he does out of love for us.
Jesus will be with us, no matter what. Even when we have our greatest sins, He doesn’t stop loving us. Turning our back on Him? Tries to turn us back. There is nothing in the world that will stop him from loving us, but do you love him back?
Everyone is made in the image and likeness of God, so how we treat a single person, we are treating God the same way with the same respect. If we respect and care for everyone, we are respecting and caring for God.
Jesus didn’t have to save us. But he did because he loves us. He is in everybody, every person. when you treat somebody poorly, you treat God poorly. Jesus showed his love for us by dieing for us. Show your love for him.
All the people that turn away from other people in need turn away from God. If you help other people in need, however, you will be rewarded greatly for when you help God’s people you help him. You grow in holiness and love when you help God and other people.
