Mt 9:18-26  Jesus gives hope to the lady who had been suffering hemorrhages for most of her life and He raises the synagogue official’s daughter from the dead.  Both had to believe Jesus could do it, they had hope which led to a great faith.  Pope Benedict XVI wrote his encyclicals teaching us how hope leads to faith and faith leads us to love.  Google raising from the dead and see how many people have done that lately.  This had to be fascinating.  Yet, people still not believe in Jesus.  Healing the sick and raising from the dead were two of the foretellings of Jesus in the Old Testament prophecy of Isaiah

How does this apply to my life?  Do you come to Jesus with a great hope that He can do anything for you and He will answer your prayers.  We must come before Him humbly in prayer, persevere, and if it is His Will, He will give us anything we ask for.  Do you really believe or do you go through the motions and recite your memorized prayers?  Speak from your heart and reflect on truly what God is asking of you in your life, then do not be afraid and go for it!
