“COME, HOLY SPIRIT”.

Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

The scribes who had come from Jerusalem said of Jesus,
“He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and
“By the prince of demons he drives out demons.”

Summoning them, he began to speak to them in parables,
“How can Satan drive out Satan?
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
And if a house is divided against itself,
that house will not be able to stand.
And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided,
he cannot stand;
that is the end of him.
But no one can enter a strong man’s house to plunder his property
unless he first ties up the strong man.
Then he can plunder his house.
Amen, I say to you, all sins and all blasphemies
that people utter will be forgiven them.
But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit
will never have forgiveness,
but is guilty of an everlasting sin.”
For they had said, “He has an unclean spirit.” MK 3:22-30

Jesus teaches us the power of the holy Spirit (God) has power over demons and Satan. The everlasting sin is saying Satan has power over the holy Spirit (God) which is false. Jesus gives us the power of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. When we are baptized we receive the Holy Spirit.  We have God in us!!!!  At the Ascension, Jesus said He must go so that the Holy Spirit could be with us. The Holy Spirit is the love of the Father and the Son and remains with us and in us until Christ returns. We receive the same Holy Spirit as the Apostles, St. Francis, and Pope Francis. The Holy Spirit is living in us just like it did the Apostles. This is a profound power within us. What are you going to do with it?

Take time to look at the gifts and fruits of the Spirit. We each have spiritual gifts like we do physical talents. They are called the charisms of the Spirit. The Devil will never prevail against the Church doors according to Jesus Christ because of the Holy Spirit. Not because the Holy Spirit is on defense, but because the Holy Spirit is on offense and working to unite the people of the world all of the time. May we call the Holy Spirit upon us each day saying, “Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love, send forth your spirit and they shall be created and renew the face of the earth.”

Today’s challenge: Pray to the Holy Spirit every day asking for guidance.  In temptation or danger, one of the best prayers is “Come, Holy Spirit”.  Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you before you sit down to read the Scriptures.  Ask for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be increased in you so you may do the Father’s Will and see the fruits of the Spirit in your life. Put “Come, Holy Spirit” in your mirror so you read it every morning to make it a habit to call on the Holy Spirit all throughout your day!

Be a servant, become a saint!
