Challenge: Pray the rosary or some part of the rosary every day this month.  Prayer “changes things”-Peter Kreeft

Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished,
one of his disciples said to him,
“Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples.”
He said to them, “When you pray, say:

Father, hallowed be your name,
your Kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread
and forgive us our sins
for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us,
and do not subject us to the final test.”

The meaning of the Our Father. St. Augustine says the entire Gospel always leads back to a part of the Our Father.

Our Father (many saints stop here and realize the blessing it is to be allowed to call God, Our Father)
who art in heaven hallowed be thy name (I kneel before you to worship, adore, and glorify you as a sinner who needs your mercy-be humble)
thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven (I submit my will to you, please give me the courage, strength, and grace to do your will over mine-there are only two types of people on judgment day-my will be done or thy will be done, it’s a choice we make with every decision every day)
give us this day our daily bread (thank you God for taking care of our every need physically and spiritually, I trust in you)
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us (teach me to forgive so that I may be forgiven, help me not to judge or label, have mercy on my soul)
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen (I believe).

Today’s challenge: Say an Our Father on your knees every day when you wake up thinking about the above words then put them into action each day.

Be a servant become a saint!
