“HE TOLD HIS DISCIPLES TO HAVE A BOAT READY FOR HIM BECAUSE OF THE CROWD, SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT CRUSH HIM.” MK 3:7-12
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus withdrew toward the sea with his disciples.
A large number of people followed from Galilee and from Judea.
Hearing what he was doing,
a large number of people came to him also from Jerusalem,
from Idumea, from beyond the Jordan,
and from the neighborhood of Tyre and Sidon.
He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd,
so that they would not crush him.
He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases
were pressing upon him to touch him.
And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him
and shout, “You are the Son of God.”
He warned them sternly not to make him known. MK 3:7-12
Why do people desire Jesus? On the surface, because he heals them. Spiritually, he has mercy on them as a sinner and frees them from sin. More deeply though, He has what we want, POWER! Lucifer, the fallen angel, the most powerful angel wanted that power more than anything and could not have it. God has given us His Power in the Holy Spirit to do great things on this earth with love. God’s love is the most powerful thing in the universe and He gave it to us by giving us life and the Holy Spirit!
Today, Lucifer continues to seek and destroy love wherever he can, especially marriage and the family is under attack. We want to control everything in our lives and we are so upset when our plans don’t work out. We are upset when we can’t control people in our relationships and make them do what we want. Power when used incorrectly is about popularity or status, wealth, strength, high positions, awards, and achievement.
It is not bad to achieve when we use the gifts God has blessed us with to the best of our ability with love to share with others. St. Teresa of Calcutta said, “It does not matter how much we accomplish, but how much we love.” The problem is when we obsess over it, work too many hours and leave our families behind, miss Mass for weekend sports tournaments, and have to go into extreme debt to keep up a fake life of wealth to keep up our status. Mother Teresa said, “In the end, it is always between you and God.”
Jesus has done an amazing job of revealing Himself to us in the last 3 weeks. He comes to us as a baby, completely innocent, poor, and humble. He is revealed at the Epiphany and worshiped by earthly kings recognizing Him as the one who has all of the POWER and is the one True King. God, with this power, does not hold it over our heads and use it against us, He gave it to us and gave Himself to us, so we may share in this power which is love. Love is not to be kept to ourselves but given away.
He is adored by the shepherds who were told by angels that God is on earth to bring peace to His people. Zechariah and Anna reveal at the presentation in the temple, “This child will be responsible for the rise and fall of many in Israel”. Mary’s heart is pierced which begins a sorrowful and suffering heart that recognizes the most POWERFUL will have to suffer and die to REDEEM all sinners.
Then, John the Baptist speaks prophetic words, “Behold, the Lamb of God”. God speaks from the heavens and says, “This is my beloved Son of whom I am well pleased”. Now, we enter into Jesus’s healing ministry in the Gospel of Mark. This is to fulfill prophecies from the Old Testament about a Messiah who will come to save His people. It is to draw people to Him. But, most importantly it is to teach us how to use POWER correctly, by SERVING and HUMILITY. Jesus uses the greatest power to serve. He uses it to love. He uses it to have compassion on others.
Most importantly, we struggle with POWER every day of our lives. If we truly desire God in our hearts, we must let go of all of our power and submit to the ONE POWER that can make us the most joyful in this life and the next. Our identity is in the GREATEST POWER through His death and resurrection, we are made in His image and likeness, we are baptized into His family and become His child, through the blood of Christ we become His brother or sister, the GREATEST POWER lives in us in the Holy Spirit and is given to us in the SACRAMENTS.
God’s grace is His life in us. This is why the saints went to Mass daily sometimes more and to confession sometimes daily or weekly. They recognized how POWERLESS they were and how much POWER God had to help them be holy and fight Satan. God desires nothing more than to give you His love and grace. Our greatest POWER is living to be the person God made us to be and sharing that with others.
God’s love is the most POWERFUL thing in the world. It conquered sin and death. It overcomes evil and darkness in our world. It forgives and is for giving. It heals. It changes lives and creates lives. Most importantly, God’s POWER is LOVE. There is no greater POWER than God’s LOVE in all the world. “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends!” JN 15:13
NOTHING has ever beat God’s LOVE!!! Our POWER is pale in comparison to God’s POWER. We will be held accountable by this POWER on judgment day. At some point we are going to have to submit to the POWER that created us, it would be smart not to let that be our death bed.
It would also be wise to humbly submit to Him, give Him everything, visit Him daily in prayer, invite Him into our daily activities and especially our temptations, visit His mother daily and ask for her help since He told us to from the Cross, receive Him at Mass, and share Him with others by modeling Him in our lives being who we were created to be.
Why do people desire Jesus and want to get so close to Him and crush Him? Holiness is attractive. He is the Way to our heavenly home, our hearts greatest desire. He gives us our identity. What we have been searching for! He gives us the POWER to get there and the joy is overwhelming.
Today’s challenge: Make a habit of getting up early in the morning to spend time with Jesus to make Him the center of your life, not just a part of your life. Give up yourself totally and completely to Him through Mary and everything you own. Allow Him to have power over you, so that you have power over the Devil and your desires.
Be a servant, be a saint today!
#Christian YOLO
we must drop our electronics because it holds power over us. to stop trying to live a livestyle that wasnt made for us
to drop the fake wealth and to gain true love with God. that is all we need to make it to heaven. we can still grow old with one you love and to have a family but we cant forget the one who created us.
speaking the word in the best way
Jesus was preaching and so many people followed him that he had to go to the water to keep from being crushed their were thousands of people that wanted to here him preach or to be healed and they believed he could do it so they followed him and he
“they would fall down before him” we need to fall before God and not do our will but the fathers will because if we do we can lead others to heaven with love
I think this is telling me that we need to be fully open and prepared for Him to lead us to heaven. If we arent then we will be letting down God.
Spend more time with God and your family more than social media they are more important than anything in the world. You need to make sure your not being lazy drifting away from God. Keep your peers and other in check to get to the one eternal goal, which is in Heaven
today Jesus goes out and heals many. This gains a large following of people and sick and wounded were following him. They felt that if they touched him they would be healed. This is awesome because God heals all of us. He loves us and sent his only son to die for us. He sent Jesus to heal ALL of us.
Jesus is calling everyone to do His father’s will and people come to Him because He heals them. We want everything to go our way but that just doesn’t happen. God has given us our strengths and we must use them to praise Him so we can get to eternal peace in heaven. Earthly, physical things do not matter. The only thing that matters is getting to heaven. God has a purpose for us and we must ask Him and seek what our purpose is. During the Christmas season we realize that Jesus was not famous or popular by any means. He was humble and stooped down on our level. He calls everyone; not the rich but the poor who need Him. We all need Jesus and we always will need him.
They way the devil gets us and strips us away from Jesus is kinda wierd. Its through over obessing over everyday things. Money, everyone has it and uses it, but its a sin when we over obsess over it. Same with technology, or really over obsessing over anything besides God. We need to strive to see and be in the presesnce of God.
The things we love our taking the place of God. Which is making us distance from him and we won’t know who he is and his name when our time comes. So with our time here live your life striving with God following his path and we will live correctly and in joy.
“He warned them sternly not to make him known.” This phrase stuck out to me because Jesus doesn’t want to be a celebrity. He wants to be quiet but only speaks to His people. He wants others to follow Him but He doesn’t want to be well known. He wants people to love Him but doesn’t want people to love Him because its the right thing to do. He wants us to love Him in our own free will not through someone else. He wants to get to know us and love us. He wants you to spread the word but not force others to love Him. He wants to get to know them by who they are not through you.
he wants us to find him on our own we don’t need other people telling us were he is if we want him we need to find him not other people telling you were he is.
“He warned them sternly not to make him known.”
and he healed people and drove out demons
Life is weird. We think we know everything there is to know, but we don’t. We fantasize about magic, or superpowers, or control. I’ve learned that wishing for these things simply makes what you have less valuable. The only way to really appreciate what you have, is to not have it. To fast, abstain. That is what prayer is about. If you spend more time with God, or your family, you will realize that what you held in such high regard, like your xbox, or playstation, will become so much less valuable! You will know that you are only happy, or fulfilling with family, with your siblings, with friends! Power is what we crave, so we try so much to be the best at something. The only way that we can be happy is to be with people! People with actual souls, and love.
I think today Jesus is telling us God’s love is greater than all things. It’s greater than video games, social media, sports greater than everything. We need to realize that God loves us so much and always will but in order to have a relationship with him we have to love him just as much as He loves us and seek him.
1/18/24 A crowd of people praise and worship God but only few deepens their relationship with him. But the message is clear, even though Jesus needs rest he still continues to give time for us. Thus, we should always desire to deepen our relationship with God. Are we ready to give time to Him?
When we come off our devices we can see the world clearer. We can socialize and talk to Jesus and have a conversation with him. When we get off our devices we can become better people and socialize with others. If we could all put down our devices we could all become overall better people. If we can all do it even for just a little bit we can do a lot better.
He is showing us how we need to respond to him. By following absolutely, with no distractions or interruptions.
It is between you and God. Anything else that gets in the way is not good.
When it said “whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him
and shout, You are the Son of God.” This told me that we need to follow him we need to stop what we are doing and listen to him Jesus Christ because he is the son of God. He wants us to follow him he wants us to listen he wants us to put are electronics down. When we do that we will be happier we won’t feel lost anymore. Jesus loves us.
God was trying to tell us to be our self we have so many different faces that it is hard to tell if someone is actually genuine.
The scripture said to me we need to not be selfish and we need to sacrifice. Sacrifice anything to get closer to God and Jesus. Jesus sacrificed himself to die for us on the cross. The least we can do is sacrifice to get closer to our savior. Just like the scripture said our greatest POWER is living to be the person God made us to be and sharing that with others. That means that God has called us to live in his world and believe in him.
Something thing that I got from this is we can’t be a “half christian”, we can’t have half of us in, and half of us out. We have to be all in on Jesus, this is so important for us, and I am guilty of this. I am addicted to social media, like TikTok, and Snapchat, and it is hard to do, it will not be easy to do it, but that is the devil trying to tell you that you need them, and we need to ignore those thoughts, and follow Jesus.
I learned from today’s Scripture that we put things like sports, people,or popularity in front of the most important thing which is Jesus.Sometimes we just tuck away our religion and Holiness which we should not we should in brace it.God’s love is the most POWERFUL thing in the world.
This scripture tells us how people were crowding around Jesus. Why are we not crowding around Jesus these days? We should try to go after Jesus more, he gave up his life for us, we should crowd around Jesus.
I believe that this scripture means that back when there was no electronics or social media, people were actually following the way of God. Now, everybody wants to go home and go on their phone or play video games. We should be looking forward to going home, not because of our pleasures or things we enjoy, but because we want to spend time with Jesus. Jesus sacrificed so much for us- His life! And we just go home and pay no mind to Him! We need to love and appreciate all He has done for us.
We need to recognize that power is not our calling. God did not put us into this world to be the most liked and most popular and best looking, He put us here to Love and be loved. That is our generic purpose. But we also have an individual purpose, which we have to pray about and find out. We have to also remember it is not our will, not our plan, but God’s plan for us.
Instead of on social media all day we should read the Bible. Why would we do things that don’t matter when we can do things that matter eternally like reading the Bible. If we go to bed early and wake up early then we can read the Bible before. We need to love God because he died on the cross for us.
In this reflection, it wants us to put down our devices, social media, and other stuff to go and find Jesus. We may not find Him, but He is here inside of us. He loves us, gave us life and died for our sins. We need to pray so we can become closer with Him.
Physical things are not good. Those things do not love you God will always love you even if you don’t love him back.
Today i learned that popularity and social media is not important, but God is. God is the most important things in are lives “It does not matter how much we accomplish, but how much we love.”
What stood out to me was that when an unclean spirit saw Jesus they would fall to their knees and proclaim that Jesus was the Son of God. But something interesting is that Jesus would tell them not to yell. This means that Jesus is humble and wants people to follow him for who he is, and not who people say he is
Jesus was pressed in on the crowd because he was able to heal him. You could do the same thing! You don’t have to heal others physically, but you can heal them spiritually. Listen to Jesus, and I’m sure he could give you a few pointers.
Us as humans want people to like us more, and we act differently around certain people but God made us for a reason and we are unique for a reason.
What stuck out to me was how Jesus was always preaching and how so many people were following him and instead of telling them to leave he got on a boat to preach to the crowd witch shows us how he loves us
What I noticed is how hard it was for people to truly follow Jesus and not have this persona that they loved Jesus but truly they were just acting like that so they wouldn’t get embarrassed if you truly want to be a follower of Jesus you need to not be scared of people knowing your beliefs and you should be proud of it.
what I noticed is how it’s really hard for people to give up devicing and electronics. I think it is because we use them so much in our daily life. they don’t benefit us unless we are using it to spread the word of God. its going to take a lot of time but I think the world could become better with electronic it just the way that you use the electronics.
I change myself for other people. That’s something I’ve come to realize over the past few years. I meet a new person, I go to a new place, and I change something about myself. Recently I’ve just been trying to find that one person who I won’t change a thing about myself for. Will it be my best friend, a parent, a grandparent? I don’t know. I feel like I don’t know who I am for real when I’m by myself. It wasn’t until I started going to youth group and adoration that I realized how much I liked myself when I was simply with Christ.
Your social media dose not matter. You should pay more attention top God than your electronics. You need to spend more time with Jesus and love him.
“And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him
and shout, “You are the Son of God.”
He warned them sternly not to make him known.”
This part of the verses stood out to me, because just the sight of Him made the unclean spirits fall, and Jesus was so humble, He told the crowds not to make Him known to the world. I’m not sure how else to explain it, but that part just kind of caught my eye. I think there’s something so great about the fact that the unclean spirits simply just saw Him, and fell down and yelled out that He IS the son of God.
I think that God is telling us too be a servant of him every day we are alive, not if we want to, we need to the lord died for us and is our God. But the best part to be a servant, every day you are a servant of God, you are also a saint of God.
We should always listen to him and know that we need him more than ever because he is the center of out life. Everybody has distractions because they make us happy but the thing that we should be focused on is Jesus. he will make our lies better for us to live and follow Christ.
we should listen and understand what Jesus has to say in the scriptures so that God’s word becomes reality. His word is what makes miracles happen.
We need to love Jesus and go crazy as they used to. This is what caught my attention and made me think. Jesus deserves our full praise and worship for he had made us and showed that he loves us.
Jesus is trying to tell us that is doesnt matter what people think about you on social media. Eventually that will be gone but Jesus will never leave you. No matter what you need Jesus.
god is really trying to speak to me in this scripture
this is telling me I really have to work hard to find his love
and not some earthly distraction.
It is important to make way for God. Social media is pushing us away from God and we are letting our phones control us. We need God more than social media and pray more. We need to pray more and get away from social media.
People desired to see Jesus so much that if he didn’t retreat to a boat he would have been crushed. That is the kind of holiness we should want. Just think, Jesus had to literally separate himself so they couldn’t get to him. Jesus Christ should be our model. We don’t need any fake idols or other distractions. All we need is him.
In todyas scripture something that stood out to me is when St. Mother Teresa said, “In the end, it is always between you and God.” She is trying to say that we are obsessing over social media and our ticktock, snap chat, face book, Instagram or what ever else wont matter in a couple years. It is all a lie, it wont get you anywhere. In the end its always gonna be GOD!!! not social media, they dont care if you get to heaven. God does.
people only seek God when he can do something for them. We should seek God no matter if he can or can’t do something for us.
We need to get rid of all of distractions. We need to put all our focus on Jesus and only him. He is the only person that matters in the end. We need to pray everyday and put altelast 1 hour with no distractions all to him.
This is telling us that we need to make Jesus the center of our life. We need to get rid of all our things (spiritually) and become Best friends with Him.
We have to follow Jesus He is the truth. Whatever we seek from anyone or anything is not the truth. All we need is Jesus. Jesus is here for us He wants us to come to Him. Jesus will wait for you all you have to do is come to Him and ask for whatever you need.
I really like how it talks about who Lucifer is and how we can overcome his temptations. Lucifer temps us in ways that we don’t even realize it. When we act on those temptations we let Lucifer win. Instead we need to learn how to fight his temptations and turn to God.
What do we put first in our life? Is it sports, video games, ext. Jesus isnt saying we need to throw EVERYTHING out and only focus on him hes saying what do we REALLY follow? Him or is it something else?
We look for a sense of belonging. Wether thats through social media or not, we should be looking for ourselves through God. Set an alarm everyday to pray and spend time with God, wether its for 5 minutes or an hour. set aside some time for him. He can heal you, you just have to listen to what he says.
We are sinners that are seeking power and status. We need to seek a relationship with God. He is loving and merciful. We should give everything we have to him because he gave everything to us.
God is like an everything Bagel, has everything on it. We are the cream cheese. we go to Jesus and we get squished with him. Heś everywhere while we are in the middle, there might be a few holes in the bagel where the cream cheese drips out, The holes are temptation, leading us away from Jesus.
He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, so that they would not crush him.
People were so excited to meet Jesus that they were running. they dropped everything to see him. Its like any Christmas movie, everyone rushes to the store flipping tables to get a toy. thats how much people wanted Jesus
I learned in this scripture reflection that so many people are chasing God that He must be so great and some for me to chase as well.
God should be the center of everyone’s life. If he is not then you should make him the center of your life.
today i learned that we cant let material things and let God be the center of your life so you could feel the love of him fully and find why your here why God made you what your suppose to do with yourself
“He told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd,
so that they would not crush him.”
He should be the center of your life. Your phone shouldn’t be the most important thing, if phones weren’t a thing and Jesus came today we would be running to him, dropping everything behind us.
I am holding myself back from being the person I can be. I think a certain way because I don’t want to do something. I can be who I want to be if I express it. Jesus expressed Himself on the cross and I need to express myself while I carry my own cross like Jesus did I needed to show my kindness and love on my sleeve. I can show I am Christian better than I am and express my love to God better.
Jesus is all that we need. Whether you accept this or not defines the path of your life. Hard truths live up to their names they are hard to acknowledge and accept. Why is it so hard not to sin against a man who gave His own life for you? We are human. We were meant to sin but that doesn’t mean that you should lose hope God wants our love that all He wants from us not gold or jewels our love is the only thing we can give Him. So let’s give it to Him.
Im hoping to get closer to god and build a relation ship with him. Im not the best with my time and i am striving to do better and spend more time with him.
Jesus was such an inspiration that people would follow him, and we should do the same thing from a spiritual standpoint
What it’s saying is that Jesus went to Galilee and a huge group of people followed him because they love him and are inspired by him. Jesus has done so much for us in our lives and sometimes we act like we don’t even care or thank him for all of the amazing things that he has done for us.
We get so close to Jesus just to turn away from Him so fast. If we really desire Him we have to drop everything in our life distracting us from Him and then take Him more seriously.
Jesus needs to be the center of everybody’s life. We need to try to be more like Him in everything we do. We need to treat other how we want to be treated. The golden rule. Jesus is so popular that they need to get a boat just to get Him past the crowd. Thats how we should treat Jesus.
To truly believe in God we have to know him. We have to have a relationship with God and truly denie oursleves of the things that are keeping us away from him. He have to give up the things that bring us father away from Jesus. Jesus is the only way to heaven.
I think that 1 week without social media would be great for the majority of us and it would certainly help me.
The lord is the light and salvation.
The scripture made me realize that at the end of the day it’s just me and God and no one else. Nothing else should matter or be put first before my relationship with God.
The lord is the light and salvation he is amazing and great. He is there when we stray off the path he brings us back as long as we are willing to come to him.
We need to submit ourselves to God and sometimes we need to make sacrifices like he did for us.God loves us and He died for us so sometimes we need to make a sacrifice like He did.If we turn to God we can find our identity and not base our lives on social media and urn to Christ.
jesus is saying that he is the way if you had a sick person in your life who would you go to Jesus or your inspriation Jesus right cause your famous person who you love isnt him no one can be no one will be him he is The Father The Son and The Holy Spirit he can do anything your famous person is probably great but jesus is better he is the way of life.
This scripture reflection told me that we are very attached to are devises and to wanting to be liked by our friends and others.
God’s POWER is LOVE
God will always love us. No matter what happens, if you make a bad mistake, if you think you are making a mistake, you aren’t. God is always here for you. He will never give up on you no matter the cost. Don’t forget that.
God loves us very much and Lucifer is trying to break that love with God by adding social media to our lives. We can ignore that by deleting all of our social media apps and spend time with Jesus by praying.
We have many choices in life that either lead to eternal salvation and joy, or eternal darkness, and depression. We can either let God build us up, or we can build ourselves up. We need to make all of our decision in the light and guidance of God so we may meet him in eternal life.
“it is not bad to achieve when we use the gifts god gives us.” stood out to me. jesus wants us to succeed but also follow the right path and live a good life
We have many choices down the road in our lif we we should choose to make the right one to lead us to Jesus.
No one is better than Jesus. He is the one true God and we should not praise false gods. We have to make the right choices.
The scripture made me realize that at the end of the day it’s just me and God and no one else. Nothing else should matter or be put first before my relationship with God. We tend to put other things like social media and friends and popularity before him when it doesn’t matter at the end of the day.
“Gods power is love”
I think that jesus is trying to let us know that he will alway s love us
Jesus is so amazing lots of people went to go touch his cloak. Its now or never to be with Christ.
what are our gods? our electronics, our idols, anything we put before God. we need to let these idols go and put one thing as our God. Jesus Christ.
This passage is saying that we need to let go of the things that are holding us back from Jesus.
As St. Teresa of Calcutta said, “It does not matter how much we accomplish, but how much we love.” This is so true because when we die and see Jesus he doesn’t care how rich we were, how much we accomplished, how famous we were, the only thing that matters is if we served God. In life we just have to love God with all our heart and trust in God.
I think God is telling me to realize NOTHING is more powerful than Him. He overtook satin, sin, and death. The only way we will find happiness and Eternal life is through Him. We cannot let anything get in the way of the relationship between God and a person. We cannot be lukewarm in our faith. We have to put all our effort in and try our best. So, one day we will end up in Heaven with the King.
Many people came to see Jesus because they wanted his help for him to cure them of diseases or drive out demons in them. There were so many people that Jesus needed a boat so the crowds wouldn’t crush him. I think we really need Jesus to help us with what we are dealing with. Jesus will always be here for us so we just need to go to him.
What God is saying is that there is no wrong in following Jesus. There should not be a time where Jesus is not our center of attention. He was getting followed from everywhere for people to see. We should always follow Jesus any time anywhere so when we need help we can rely on him to help but we shouldn’t just use him when he need him.
We see that people were crowding Jesus so they could simply touch Him. That sentence has power. If we look at the faith they had to listen and to follow Jesus the way they did what we are doing. If you compare us we look like we don’t even care. We need to fix that today.
God’s love is the most POWERFUL thing in the world. It conquered sin and death. It overcomes evil and darkness in our world.
“And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him and shout, “You are the Son of God.”” God is above all else. God has so much power and love. God loves us so much. God has all the power and we need to trust that everything happens for a reason. Everything has a purpose and we must trust God with everything we do.
pay attention to God more instead of social media because God knows all social media dosent. God knows your future, your past, and evrything ijside you. He fills us up with his body and blood. Gods love is greater than anything we can imagine.
Jesus heals us because we are his kids and he is our father and no matter what we do he will never stop loving us.
God is greater than any human thing. We need to drop our electronics and anything that is keeping us away from him and follow him.
Jesus Wants us to be his followers and then he will help us.Also to pray every morning. He is trying to tell us that he is real.He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases
were pressing upon him to touch him.Jesus can do great things.
We have a lot of choices in life but we need to choose the right one we need to follow God’s path that he has for us. God loves us no matter what his arms are always open for us.
Jesus was popular, and if he was alive today He would still be popular. It is not everyday that someone claims to be God, and backing it up with miracles. Jesus was so incredibly popular He had to stand on a boat because the land was so crowded with people just wanting to see Him. The reason Jesus is so popular is because holiness is attractive, it pulls people up and Jesus loves to do that. He loves pulling people up He loves making people happy and holy.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that he is by us waiting. He is there loving us no matter what. We have to put all distractions aside and try to love him as much as he loves us. We know we are not perfect so we can never love God as much as he loves us because God has a perfect love for us and we can not be perfect. But if God made us He knows if we try . He knows if we pray everynight.
The lord is the light and salvation he is amazing and great. He is there when we stray off the path he brings us back as long as we are willing to come to him.
we need to lay down our wants and need and give it to jesus because he is the greatest your video games your tiktok, youtube, snapchat or whatever it may be will mean absolutley nothing when your in heaven
the thing that touched me the most was that Jesus had to be on a boat because the people were trying to get closer to Him. I think this stuck out to me because it made me wonder if I have ever been so exited to spent time with Jesus as the people from Galilee and Judea, and it made me want to try to get to know Jesus not just learning facts about him but getting to know him as a friend.
I think this is telling me that we need to be fully open and prepared for Him to lead us to heaven. If we arent then we will be letting down God.
God’s POWER is LOVE. God loves all, he loves all of us even if we make a mistake he still loves us. God will always love us.
“He had cured many and, as a result, those who had diseases were pressing upon him to touch him.” When time was young, there were Adam and Eve. They were the first humans to be free of original sin, but they were also the last. We believe that the world will be wiped out by a meteor or a different object from space. We are so sure of that that we have developed spiritual tunnel vision. We have been slowly destroying our planet day by day of the last 10,000 years. Our consumpsion of the natural resources that earth provides has only snowballed in the last 300 years. We are the harbingers of doom, not the meteors or the comets or any other extraterrestrial object. We have been so sure that we have not even looked in the mirror to see the true monster.
Jesus wants us to love him and come to him, because he is all we need. What stuck out to me was that he needed a boat because the crowds literally could have crushed him, they wanted to be near him so much. what if WE did that to Jesus? Wanting him that much?
One thing that stands is the saying Nothing has ever beaten God’s love. This reminds me of the temtations of jesus.
And whenever unclean spirits saw him they would fall down before him and shout, “You are the Son of God.” The spirits just fell in the presence of God. That shows how powerful God is and how pure He is. This shows me that God is all powerful and He is my protector against any demons.
our devices and social media are getting in the way of what’s important, God. we need to stop focusing on other things and focus on our lord and savior.
We need to make a habit of getting up early and making him center of your life.
I think this is telling me that we need to be fully open and prepared for Him to lead us to heaven. If we arndt then we will be letting down God.The spirits just fell in the presence of God. God is trying to tell us that he will always be at our side and heal us. He will protect us from evil. He attracts so many people. No matter what happens, God will always be with us.
We must all be like the people who came from all over just to hear Jesus. We must follow him and obey his commands that he gives us. Nothing is greater than God’s love.
¨God’s grace is His life in us.¨
i belive this quote is so true because it is real and we need to realize it to take care of our bodues and souls.
gods power is the most powerful thing It can Be difficult to trust in god, my friend in colby might have had bone cancer. I prayed and it turned it was just a tumor. this shows his love and power.
Hearing what he was doing, a large number of people came to him also from Jerusalem, from Idumea, from beyond the Jordan, and from the neighborhood of Tyre and Sidon. This part stuck out to me because it is showing just how many people Jesus saved. So many people heard what he was doing and knew that they needed to experience it. Jesus is so powerful and it shows in this Gospel.
God has the power to do anything, so sometimes we need “Fear of the Lord”. It’s a gift of the Holy Spirit that helps us discern our actions and lessen our ego and pride. It also helps us remember that Jesus is King of Kings and has power over everyone. If Jesus can drive out demons, then He can surely get us to Heaven if we follow Him.
What I think God is trying to tell us is that there should not be a time where Jesus is not our center of attention. We should always follow Jesus any time anywhere so when we need help we can rely on him to help but we shouldn’t just use him when he need him.
