“WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE ME IF I HAND HIM OVER TO YOU?” MT 26:14-25
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Judas betrayed Jesus for about $300 in today’s money. Judas and our sins put Jesus on the cross. What we must realize is that our sin is not what hurts Jesus but it distances us from Him. That hurts because He gave all to bring everyone together as a family. Sin hurts us and the people around us. It’s all about relationships. Jesus was betrayed by one of His closest followers. Oh, how much it hurts when we are betrayed by one of our closest loved ones and friends.
God wants our whole heart, mind, soul, and strength. He is all in. He gives all. He is forever faithful. He is love-it’s all He can do. Love wills the good of the other. God ALWAYS wills our good. If anything bad happens to us, it is a result of sin. His love is a sacrificial love which brings forth a new life for us to live free of sin and death forever with him in heaven. A free sacramental gift of Himself that transforms us. What is something you have given all to? What were the results? Now, think about what would happen if you do this in your spiritual life with God who has the power to heal, save, raise, and love.
Today’s challenge: Ask for forgiveness to those you have betrayed. This Holy Week go all in with God and see what happens. Worry less about money, power, pleasure, honor, and more about your soul.
Be a servant, be a saint today!

“What are you willing to give me” We try to use God so much like, “I’ll do this if you’ll give this to me”. we can’t expect God to do everything for us, we need to learn that we are just one step in God’s plan and everything that’s coming at you he’s already seen and has a plan for you. You don’t need the thing your asking God for all the time, just wait and he’ll figure it out.
we are like barabbas and God still will take the suffering and have mercy on us even though we deserve our sin. as we continue to do wrong he still is waiting for us, still loving us the same, wanting us to come back to him has never been stronger than when we push farther and farther away. God just wants us to be with him in heaven.
I think that this scripture is important to know about because it is talking about how Judas betrayed Jesus for $300 when he never got use because soon after he hung himself because of his guilt. You need to ask yourself what you would’ve done? Would you have betrayed your friend? Would you help them? There all good questions, but YOU are the one who has to answer it for yourself, nobody else can.
Judas betrays Jesus for 30 pieces of silver and tells them the one he kisses is the one to aresst so they go to them and arrest Jesus. After they arrest Jesus, Judas feels great remorse and tries to return the silver before taking his own life. This is like a more extreme example of us when we sin Judas thought his sin was to great and could never be forgiven and sometimes thats how we feel but unlike Judas we know that we always have the sacrament of confession and Jesus will forgive us no mater what we’ve done and would have forgave Judas too.
Jesus knew what Judas was about to do. God knows all of us and knows all that we have done even in sin. We must ask for forgiveness and go to confession because that is how God helps us and forgives us. God will always forgive and he loves us so much that he will do anything for us. He will seek us out we just need to find him and listen for him.
“The Lord GOD has given me a well-trained tongue” This stuck out to me because it reminded me of all the things God has provided us to get us where He wants us to. We just need to use these gifts the way he wants us to.
God went through a lot of suffering that he never deserved, but he did it for the love of us. He was betrayed by everyone that he knew on top of everything that he was going through.
Today’s scripture we learn that Judas betrays Jesus even though he knew who and when it would happen he didn’t refuse. Jesus doesn’t hate Judas he loves his haters the most he can, God loves all of us even if we sin or hurt him/ ignore him. Today’s goal: forgive others who discriminate others and love your neighbor but love your enemies more.
Whenever we sin, we are being like Judas. We always talk about how Judas is such a terrible person but when we sin, how can we say that we are better? Our sins might not have as much as a physical aspect as Judas but everything bad is a result of sin. We cannot blame anything or anyone for the reason we sin, it is our fallen nature but God will always love us. Try to do your best and God will be happy.
““Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me.”Deeply distressed at this, they began to say to him one after another, “Surely it is not I, Lord?” He said in reply, “He who has dipped his hand into the dish with me is the one who will betray me.”
Something I think we don’t think about often enough is that Jesus knew. He knew he’d get betrayed by his friends and he knew he’d have to die. And he just accepted it. Jesus knew he had to fulfill God’s plan and save us from sin and he suffered especially in the garden of Gethsemane. Jesus has to have great courage and perseverance to keep going through his passion. It also makes me realize and think about how lucky and thankful I am to have good friends and people who help me persevere through difficult stuff or people who being me closer to God and I can trust.
In this story, the Apostles are just as oblivious as they always are. Jesus literally says that Judas will betray him, and still, they are all like,” It it me? It can’t be me. Can it?” The Apostles are the definition of the Ears but don’t Listen parable, and yet they still do wonderous things. The thing that we have to realize, though, is that the Passion changed them. They were all a little self centered, and then they weren’t. The Holy Spirit is pure love, and when they received it, they immediately began thinking about others more than themselves. The difference that God makes in someone’s life is astounding. There will always be a way to tell who is with God, because they are happy, and full of Love. Even Jesus laughed, probably more then others. He enjoyed life, and he helped others serve God, because when you serve God, you are in perfect Joy!
In Today’s Gospel I think that its saying that our sins aren’t what hurts Jesus it just distances us from Him. We need to realize what we are doing before we act and think about what our sins are doing to us and the people around us. We are just distancing and hurting ourselves from them.
Then Judas, his betrayer, said in reply, “Surely it is not I, Rabbi?” He answered, “You have said so.” This stuck out to me because Judas knew he was going to be the one to handover Jesus but he still asked so he didn’t look suspicious. Jesus didn’t give a straight answer because they both knew it was going to be Judas to hand Jesus over. We need to try and not be like Judas and love God and not just hand him over whenever we feel like it.
our sinning makes a distance between us and god we are still in a way hurting god.
This gospel reminds us of the various conflicts, betrayal and lies that we have experienced from time to time in our lives. It is comforting to know that God, our refuge and hiding place is always with us, and he will deliver us from our situation in this period of darkness.
