Humbly submit your will to God (thy will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary.

An argument arose among the disciples
about which of them was the greatest.
Jesus realized the intention of their hearts and took a child and placed it by his side and said to them,
“Whoever receives this child in my name receives me,
and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.
For the one who is least among all of you
is the one who is the greatest.”

Then John said in reply,
“Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name
and we tried to prevent him
because he does not follow in our company.”
Jesus said to him,
“Do not prevent him, for whoever is not against you is for you.”  Lk 9:46-50

Jesus is always searching you out asking you to come to Him.  Today, in an argument among the disciples He realized the intention of their hearts.  What is the intention of your heart?  Are you always trying to one up someone?  Are you living today for personal success or for love of other?  Is it all about you or is it for God?  Who ultimately is in control? Who gave you the gifts to have success?  Jesus knows the intention of your heart, may it be like an innocent child.

Jesus uses a child to demonstrate who receives Him and His Father.  A child speaks pure intentions from the heart.  A child does not sugar coat things.  They do not have any labels or stereotypes set on others yet.  May we become like a child in our intentions, humble, making ourselves the least in each room we enter so that we may be the greatest in God’s eyes.  God bless all parents, teachers, priests, administrators, coaches, daycare providers, and babysitters who form the “least among us who are the greatest”.

Today’s challenge: Seek out the least among you and do something for them, then you will be receiving Jesus.

Be a servant, become a saint!
