Read Gospel for today!
Lk6:12 “Jesus departed to the mountain to pray, and spent the night in prayer to God.”
Wow! Jesus prayed to the Father! He spent the night praying! This message is twofold. First, if Jesus prayed and he is God, how much more do we need to pray. Second, what was He about to do, choose His 12 Apostles! It is very important for us to pray, and Jesus teaches us we must pray and discern (pick between to goods) before we make big decisions in life. What is God’s plan for us so we can become the saints we are called to be? Pray, go to Mass, receive the Eucharist, go to confession, read the Scriptures daily, love, and be at peace with yourself and God! Sounds good to me and much better than the alternative!
