Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Jesus said to the crowds,
“When you see a cloud rising in the west
you say immediately that it is going to rain–and so it does;
and when you notice that the wind is blowing from the south you say that it is going to be hot–and so it is.
You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time?

“Why do you not judge for yourselves what is right?
If you are to go with your opponent before a magistrate,
make an effort to settle the matter on the way;
otherwise your opponent will turn you over to the judge,
and the judge hand you over to the constable,
and the constable throw you into prison.
I say to you, you will not be released
until you have paid the last penny.”  Lk 12:54-59

Jesus warned us through the parable of the faithful servant that, “we do not know the day or the hour the master will return, be ready”.  Today, He is telling us to live with the end in mind by living each day recognizing how God is working here and now.  God is present all of the time.  Jesus was present to the people then and He is present to us now (He is closer to us know than he was back then, He made it so that we can put Him in us with the Eucharist; meditate on that!).  The Holy Spirit is with us to guide us until Christ returns.

To be prepared for the end, we must live each day recognizing the gifts God has given us, worship Him in praise and thanksgiving in adoration, receive Him and be transformed, then go and be a servant in your vocation, your call.  Jesus teaches us today that if we are smart enough to read the signs of the weather and the earth then we need to recognize what Christ revealed to us for salvation.  We have everything we need to be holy and gain salvation.  The Divine became Human so the human can become divine.  God’s grace is enough.

Young people are learning difficult math, science, and technology in GTT, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).  With guidance, young people can understand the Scriptures and reflect on them. This is the time in our lives to befriend Jesus and start establishing a friendship with Him in a daily intentional habit of prayer. Jesus wants us to know that we can understand how to be holy at every age.  May we believe.  May we put forth an even greater effort to practice our spiritual life than we do our academics and sports.

Today’s challenge: Strive for holiness no matter what age you are.  Be holy, be happy!

Be a servant, become a saint!
