Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus said to the Jews:
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever keeps my word will never see death.”
So the Jews said to him,
“Now we are sure that you are possessed.
Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say,
‘Whoever keeps my word will never taste death.’
Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died?
Or the prophets, who died?
Who do you make yourself out to be?”
Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is worth nothing;
but it is my Father who glorifies me,
of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’
You do not know him, but I know him.
And if I should say that I do not know him,
I would be like you a liar.
But I do know him and I keep his word.
Abraham your father rejoiced to see my day;
he saw it and was glad.”
So the Jews said to him,
“You are not yet fifty years old and you have seen Abraham?”
Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you,
before Abraham came to be, I AM.”
So they picked up stones to throw at him;
but Jesus hid and went out of the temple area. JN 8:51-59
Jesus is taking off the gloves and using fighting words with the Jews now. They picked up stones to throw at Him. Jesus is continuing to stand firm that He is the Son of God and one with the Father who sent Him. ”Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death.” Radical. Jesus puts His Word above death. Are you striving to live His Word?
Next, the Jews ask if Jesus is above the covenant of the Torah given to Abraham by God himself. This is a whopper! Jesus answers, ““If I glorify myself, my glory is worth nothing; but it is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’You do not know him, but I know him. And if I should say that I do not know him, I would be like you a liar. But I do know him and I keep his word. Abraham your father rejoiced to see my day; he saw it and was glad.” Jesus tells the Jews He knows God much better than they do and calls them liars if they do not believe Him. Then, He puts himself above the great patriarch of the Old Testament, Abraham and says that Abraham rejoiced at seeing Jesus, the Savior.
Last, Jesus puts the icing on the cake. The Jews of course ask how Jesus knows Abraham rejoiced at seeing Him. Jesus replies, “Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I AM.” Jesus calls Himself God once again! These words of Jesus are complete blasphemy or complete Divine Revelation. This is the dividing point for all of us. Do we believe in what Jesus said (ultimately believing He did die and rise making everything He said true)? Or do we kinda believe, or is there time to believe later, or do we not want to totally commit because we might have to change or be transformed. Believing in anything with our whole heart and soul will be the hardest thing we ever commit to.
It is going to take an act of God (the death and resurrection of His only Son and His grace-both free gifts) to move our hearts and souls to believe in Jesus Christ, His Word, and life after death. “And when the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, “Then who can be saved?” And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” MT19:25-26
Let God love you. He is fighting for you. He sent His only Son for you. Does this mean anything to us? God’s entire purpose is to create us, love us, and bring us back home to heaven. Our entire purpose is to gain this knowledge on earth, love Him back, serve Him by loving and serving others doing His will, and returning back to Him in our heavenly home. Distractions, distractions, we allow so many distractions and selfishness to get in the way of this Divine Plan. It’s Lent, pray, fast, give alms and sit quietly in the Adoration chapel or empty church and tell God you are all in, ask Him to take the wheel, it’s time to start living not just existing.
Today’s challenge: Ask Jesus to help you believe. “Jesus, I believe, help my unbelief.” MK 9:24

Be a servant, become a saint!
“Now we are sure that you are possessed. Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘Whoever keeps my word will never taste death.’ Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died?” The Jews did not understand what Jesus meant by death. If you keep his word you will have an eternal life, if you don’t you will be cast down to Hell. The Jews thought that He was talking about Earth, they thought there couldn’t be better than Earthly things.
If we are prideful that is bad because He made us to be humble and kind. He wants us to be confident but not prideful and boastful.
This shows us that if we keep his word we will see eternal life in heaven.
If we follow God we will never die we will live eternally in heaven. Even when we die in this life we will in the next if we follow and spread the word of God. Also we need to make a relationship with God by praying everyday and then we will know what were truly meant for and then we’ll be truly happy.
lying is a sin so what do i do it i think its more of a defence but what am i defending maybe i need to put down my guard and let jesus in
In todays gospel Jesus is telling people that He is higher than Abraham, they don’t believe Him but He is telling the truth. They ask how He knows Abraham since He isn’t 50 years or older, but we know that God was the first thing every in the history of the universe. We also know that Jesus is the son of God. That means that even though Jesus wasn’t “alive” when Abraham was, He still knows Abraham because He was up in heaven with His father until He was born.
We need to believe in Jesus to be with Him. You can’t love someone that you don’t know. That’s why Jesus tells us that whoever believes in Him will never see death and whoever doesn’t, will see it. But to believe in God you have to know Him so you can love Him.
Today, Jesus promises us Eternal Life with Him, but only if we do what we are supposed to do. Otherwise, we will experience death Eternally. Jesus helped all of us with our sins, including those that came before Him, like the prophets, and the rest of humanity’s future generations.
What I took from this gospel is that if we trust and believe in God, then we need to commit to him.We can’t just go along and believe in him and not commit, wheres the loyalty at? If God is here for us every single day, then why are we not committing to him. He has been with us ever since we are young, and will always be here with us, so why? Why aren’t we committing to him? We should trust that God is there and commit to Him.
I think this i saying that we need to open our hearts to Christ. Our purpose as humans is to love God and to serve him. in all of his glory. We’re broken and have fallen human nature and we need Jesus to help save us, because he’s our Savior. How can we let God save us and love us if we can’t even open our hearts to him?
“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death.” Jesus says this and right after the Jews start throwing stones at him. Jesus still proclaims that he is God. He stands firm and keeps telling the people and yet they still don’t believe that he is the savior that everyone is looking for.
These Jews are doubting Jesus, telling Him He is possessed. But we know that He is truly the Son of God. And since we know that we should act like Him because we are all created in His image.
Jesus is really trying to get through to the Jews that he is God. There is no better way of explaining that you are God than using the phrase I AM. That is like God’s signature phrase. It is shocking how stubborn and just plain stupid the Jewish people were. Jesus showed them the truth time and time again and they refused because of their polluted, corrupted minds. To accept Jesus, we need to be free of sin and taint so we can be open to God and let Him enter our hearts.
Jesus said to the Jews: “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death.” Jesus got in an argument with some Jews and they threw rocks at him. We should accept and follow what Jesus says even if it goes against our past beliefs.
Those who keep the Word of God, even though they die, they will have life Eternal. The Lord watches over His sheep. If one were to leave He would come to bring it back. If a wolf were to hunt the sheep He would take its place. Does a mother forget the child in her womb? Even if she were, the Lord will not forget the child.
Today, Jesus is really giving us the full load: Whoever keeps my word will never see death. Pretty heavy, Jesus. He’s right, though. If we believe in him and what he says, we will have eternal life. CHrist even says, “Before Abraham came to be, I AM.” This is very bold of him to say to the Jews. Abraham was one of their greatest prophets, and Jesus is saying he was before Abraham. Jesus IS God. Moral of the story.
This scripture is talking about who we are as humans and if we keep our word with God. We will never have to face the bad sides if we chose God and trust that he can help.
I find it amazing how Jesus continued to preach even though they doubted him. They thought he was a crazy man for saying he was greater than the prophets, and that he knows God, but even so, he stood up for what was true. I think that is extremely admirable.
Jesus is trying to reveal himself to us. Whether we believe in Him or not. He is trying His best to help the Jews. But what does He get. He gets rocks thrown at Him. All He wants us to do is grow in faith and holiness.
I think this scripture is saying that we just need to believe. Like the Jews, they didn’t believe that Jesus was more powerful than their father Abraham. Like it says here,” So the Jews said to him, “Now we are sure that you are possessed. Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘Whoever keeps my word will never taste death.’ Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died?though we’ve never seen the miracles like the Wedding at Cana we still need to believe with our hearts.
Jesus proves, once again, that he is God. How many times does he have to say this for us to believe? Jesus died on the cross for our sins. We should believe in him and tell people about him.
Jesus is saying in the scripture that when we stay Holy we stay with him and when we do wrong things we fall away from him so we have to go and do good things to help the Lord and He will help us with what we need maybe if it is to have a better day pray to Jesus and He will make you have a better day by Praying to Him. If someone gets hurt or someone is sick or ill in the hospital pray for them and pray as much as you can and get many people to do it.
This scripture is saying that we are the ones who are falling apart from him and that we think that this is some kind of joke. The Jews said, “Now we are sure that you are possessed. Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘Whoever keeps my word will never taste death.’ Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died?¨The Jews think that Jesus was crazy when in reality Jesus is our Savior, Christ the King.
This Gospel tells us that Jesus has the word that brings life. If we listen to His word and follow what He tells us to do we will never die. Jesus also tells us to be humble. Jesus says, “If I glorify myself, my glory is worth nothing.” We should not glorify ourselves but instead be humble. Jesus reveals Himself to the Jews and to me by saying that He is “I Am”. Jesus tells us that He was here before Abraham came to be.
In the Gospel Jesus says he knew Abraham. The Jews don’t believe him so they think he is possessed. We need to understand that Jesus is God and that we need to believe in him so we can stay with him in eternal life.
It is saying that Jesus is trying to help us get to heaven, but we need to believe in Him. They don’t believe that he is Jesus and just think He is some random guy trying to be Jesus. We need to pray to Him and stop trying to think that He is not real.
Jesus is once again revealing Himself to us, He is telling us how He is the son of God, but what do we do? All we do is say we need proof of that even though He showed us the proof we still don’t believe Him.
In today’s reading I realize that the people throwing stones is kinda like us sinning. Every time we sin we are throwing a stone at Gods heart and Love for us but, God never stops loving us no matter how many stones we throw no matter how many time we sin or hurt other. God will always love us.
In today’s scripture Jesus tells us again that God is the creator not Him. He is telling us that God sent Him and how we all have jobs that God gave us in our life. If we don’t use our gift then we aren’t necessarily wasting Gods time but we are wasting the gifts He gave us.
This scripture means that whoever says my name you will never see death.
What stuck out to me was, “whoever keeps my word will never see death”. It may be hard to get to Christ, but if we try our hardest it’s possible. A way we can make this easier is by listening to Jesus through scripture.
Jesus was saying that if you keep my word you will not die. Now we will all die physically, but spiritual we won’t. Jesus does not mean that we will never die on earth. He meant that we will love for eternity in heaven.
In Jesus’s time it would have been herd to believe what Jesus had said to the Jews. In today’s world it would be just as hard. There would still be people trying to prove that Jesus isn’t God and that he’s saying these things for his glory. But the people had to believe in what Jesus said. Its the same thing today, people are going to try to convince us that God doesn’t exist or that we should think porn is OK or abortion is OK. There are so many convincing people in this world that want us to think what the devil wants, but we have to stay steady, bold, and Catholic.
Today yet again he lets everyone know that he is the son of God, but they still think he is a lunatic and that what he says is false because today he put his word before death making people think he was crazy. But in reality he was telling the truth.
This scripture is telling us to block out the devil. We can not let sin distract us from doing our tasks.
“AMEN, AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, WHOEVER KEEPS MY WORD WILL NEVER SEE DEATH.” we need to be ministers of the church we need to teach the word of god you are never to young or old.
what the scripture is telling me is that we shouldnt lie and if we do we deal with consequences after death. but if we dont lie we will be rewarded and live a better life.
Whatever Jesus or God says is true. There is no way around it. Jesus has revealed to us that He is GOD. He is the Messiah. He is the Savior. He loves us and wants to be with us so badly, He has revealed to us clearly that He is the Son of God.
I think today’s scripture passage is trying to tell us that even if others don’t believe in God, we need to keep a strong belief in him and continue to build a stronger relationship with him. It’s also telling us to spread the word of God to those who need to hear it.
“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death.” So the Jews said to him, “Now we are sure that you are possessed. Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘Whoever keeps my word will never taste death. ’Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? Or the prophets, who died?” Jesus means that you will live with him. You will not know dearth until you have gone to hell. You may die and go to heaven in eternal happiness and you will not think of it as death. But if you go to hell then you will suffer greatly.
What stood out to me was, “AMEN, AMEN, I SAY TO YOU, WHOEVER KEEPS MY WORD WILL NEVER SEE DEATH.” It stood out to me because we will live until our time is left and God chooses when it’s our time. God will keep us alive because He knows our sins but also knows the good that we do. God will always be there.
I think that this is saying that we need to preach the good news. When Easter comes we need to celebrate and get whoever does not believe to believe. If we don’t believe, we won’t have eternal life.
“Jesus said to the Jews: ‘Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death.'” This thing that Jesus said couldn’t be clearer in saying that He is God. Jesus said that If we keep his word, we won’t die. He doesn’t mean that our bodies will be immortal, but He means that we will not face the death that is hell. We need to do His will, and trust in Him because he will bring us to Heaven, we just have to listen.
Just like yesterday, Jesus tells us that He truly is the Son of God but today He was more straight forward with it. He said that He is higher than Abraham, He is the only one who knows God better than the Jews thing that they know God.
This scripture is telling that to follow Jesus and to trust in him. If we go against what he says we will have a hard life, but if we trust in what he say we will never have to face those things.
Jesus tells us we can have Eternal life with Him. “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death.” Jesus tells us if we follow Him and listen to His words, we won’t see death. We need to listen to Him.
We need to do His will, and trust in Him because he will bring us to Heaven, we just have to listen to Him.
In this scripture Jesus is saying that we must listen to his words and the words of his father to gain more grace and go to heaven to be at the right hand of the father for all time.
Jesus is literally claiming to be God, saying his word is above the death of people, and therefore can save us from death. The people don’t understand and try to make points right back at him, but Jesus ultimately wins because His Word is the truth. Because of this, we are all called to believe in his Word and sacrifice ourselves for others.
what I am getting from today’s scripture is that whoever keeps his word will never taste death but whoever doesn’t will. Jesus gave himself for us and for our sins, no one in this would have done what Jesus did. He is one and only.
Who do you make yourself out to be? Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is worth nothing; I think this is trying to tell us that Jesus can’t just come in and brag about himself. yeah he wants so tell people about who God. We can’t take him for advantage. Just because you asked God to help you get an A+ on an assignment doesn’t mean it will happen. People need to learn when and how to pray to God.
“Whoever keeps my word shall never see death.” This basically means, whoever keeps His commandments, accepts Him into their heart, live virtuously and loves their neighbor shall live forever. It is written that whoever accepts Jesus into their heart shall reach eternal life.
God tells us that he is higher the Abraham. Just because Abraham has “more” power than God doesn’t mean that he is more than God. God can do more than him it is just that you can’t see His power but you can feel his power.
It is saying that we need to keep His word in order for us to reach eternal life in Heaven.
In today’s gospel WE the people need to follow Jesus and we will have Eternal Life. When we the people are down We always have Jesus by our side. I need to work on following Jesus more when I pray and spend time with Him. Jesus is above all things.
In today’s Gospel Jesus is done talking in Parables, even speaking unclearly, he gives us to it straight, just like he has these past few gospels, I am God, I AM, I am greater than the prophets because I am the son of the Father and I am with him in all things. and now Jesus is not afraid to anger the Jews, in fact he made them so Angry they wanted to kill him, not even knowing that is what their Father intended.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus is telling me that saying the truth is way better than lying and we shouldn’t lie and if we should obey the commandments we have been told to follow and obey and follow His commandments, we will never see death. Jesus wants us to succeed and spread His love to everyone.
This scripture is telling me to believe. The Jews didn’t believe Jesus when he said they will not taste death. The Jews didn’t get what he meant. I don’t blame them. If i heard someone say that I would think they are crazy. But what Jesus is trying to tell us is that if we believe in him, we will have eternal life.
‘Whoever keeps my word will never taste death.’ This is God’s promise to humanity. Whoever keeps His Word you will live with God eternally in heaven. Jesus tells us that if he glorifies himself, there will be no glory with him, but God the Father glorifies him. Jesus acknowledges and states to us that God is our Father, and He loves us so much. He will never leave our side till the end of the world.
This is telling me that if I spread the Word of God I will live an eternal life with God. He is the one and only. True God, True Man. Whoever follows His will, will live, whoever denies Him, won’t live peacefully in Heaven with Him.
The Jews in today’s Gospel did not understand what Jesus meant when He said, “whoever keeps my word will never see death.” They thought He was claiming that if you keep His word you will not die in the Earthly way. But we know that people die a lot and you have probably gone to a funeral before. But what Jesus meant was that you can have Eternal Life in Heaven. It means that you have something beyond death to look forward to.
“Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say,‘Whoever keeps my word will never taste death.” Jesus means that if you believe in Him, you will not go to hell. He’s not saying you won’t have a hard life, or you won’t die, but that you will go to heaven. It is up to us to choose what we want.
“If I glorify my self my glory is worth nothing,” is the phrase that stands out to me. This phrase sticks out to me because it applies to all of us. We should not brag or boast because we are not supposed to glorify our selves. We are supposed to glorify God.
I think this scripture is saying that we all need to open our hearts and give our everything to the Lord. How can the Lord love us so much and die on the cross yet we can’t open our hearts to him. We have to choose the right path and listen, listen for the Lord.
Jesus said once again, “I AM” and if I’m not then I am like you a liar. I am more important than Abraham. If you follow my word you will live forever. The Jews hated that He said that. They thought He meant death in this human world. What He means is that we will have eternal life. Live on in heaven. The Jews did not appreciate that. They tried to stone Him but Jesus hid because His time had Not Yet Come To Die.
If we listen to what God is telling us we will be the best we can. If we keep God’s word then we won’t see death. We have to listen to God if we want to have a good relationship with him.
Nobody believed in Jesus, when he said, “I AM.” God is the one, he is our Savior. Sometimes it feels like our religion is strict and that we have so many rules and God is still there in our doubts. God is always there because he is love and he wills our good. Trust God and everything he does for us and give him our whole faith.
What this scripture reflection says to me is that we all need to be ready for when he comes. We also need to try to not worship any other Gods.
Today, Jesus is saying that He is God. He is I AM. He is saying to the Jews that he is greater than Abraham, that Abraham has met him, and the Jews are confused. They wonder how he could have met Abraham, how he could be greater than Abraham. He is God, yet they don’t understand. They don’t understand the man who is in front of them is the true God
Throughout His life Jesus had been giving hints about how He is God, but never straight out said it. This is the moment where He does say it though. His truthful words were met with cries of misunderstanding and disbelief.
What I think this is saying is that whoever loves him forever and keeps his spirit with you will live with him forever and ever. You could live with him forever and ever if you just love him and praise him. All he is asking for is 5-10min a day to talk to him so you can have a relation ship with him.
I think this scripture is taking about how if we keep his word we will never see death. That means that we will not see the devil because we are following the correct God. We need to Follow Jesus in his footsteps to spread the word to the world
Jesus said to the Jews: “Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death.” In my opinion when He said this He really meant that we need to preach His word of God and when we do then we get closer to Heaven. What He wants for us is to get closer to Heaven and then eventually go to Heaven. He wants us to be by his side when we die, and that’s what we should want to.
In today’s scripture Jesus says that if you keep his word you won’t see death but by this he means that when someone spreads his word they will still die but when they do die they will go to Heaven. When they ask about how everyone else died then asked how they won’t they are doubting him and what he can do and they also don’t know exactly what the full meaning of Heaven is yet and also what is like because the Gates of Heaven were only opened when Jesus resurrected from the dead.
“Whoever keeps my word shall never see death.” This means if we listen to God we will go to heaven and live with him forever.
Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is worth nothing.” This is one of the most powerful and wise statements I have ever heard. This is so true not only for myself but for everyone in the world. When we glorify ourselves we don’t make us feel better or bigger than anyone but we make other people feel small when they aren’t because God made us all equal.
To me this means that God is telling that of we pray and are always talking to God then we will never see death or in this case we will never see Hell and instead will see the light of heaven upon us.
No matter what others say about Jesus, He will protest that he is the son of God. No matter how many stones they throw at him, He knows deep down that he is the son of God and what he says is true
Today the Jews were calling Jesus a liar. They deny that Jesus is the real Son of God. We need to stop denying our faith for Jesus. We need to believe that he was sent by God to save us from our sins.
Today Jesus outright tells the Jews that He is God. But, they don’t believe him and try to stone him. I think there are many times were Jesus has been calling to us and we have ignored Him. Unlike the Jews, we know He is truly God but sometimes we want to pretend we don’t so that we wont be have to be held accountable for the things we do. We should try and own up for the things we do, good or bad.
.This scripture is aboout how if you dont preach Gods word he will not give you eternal life like someone that would preach the gospel.
I feel like today’s message is to believe in God and your graces will be fulfilled. You will be guided and go to Heaven, and not have to suffer in Hell.
In todays Scripture, Jesus is telling us about listening to him a follow, and to not sin. Like Abraham and the prophets. We will be let into heaven if we follow God
I think that this reading is telling us how to stay humble. Today, Jesus is asked if he is greater than Abraham and he somehow has the self control and humility to not go off about how he is the greatest. If I was Jesus, I would be flying around in a golden Lamborghini with the exhaust fumes being money. Basically what I am saying is that Jesus is amazing for being so humble. Even though the quote from Spiderman, “With great power comes great responsibility,” was made for a movie, it is really applicable to us in the real world. At some point in our life, we will be burdened with the task of having to take care of someone or being in charge of someone. Some of us might even be successful enough to be in charge of many people but the point is that no matter how much power we think we have, Jesus always has more and he still never bragged about it to everyone.
Today’s Scripture passage is telling us who Her really is. He wants to believe. Yes, it will make our live harder when we’re with Him, but we should just live our lives to the fullest with our Heavenly Father leading us. By living our live with God and doing our will for Him, we will be able to have eternal life with Him.
Jesus is God and sometimes we just have to tell ourselves he is better than us he is more powerful. Tell him here I am Lord, it is I Lord. I have heard your voice calling in the night. Tell him if you lead me I will hold all your people in my heart.
I think that this passage is telling us that even when someone says something that we think is unacceptable, that doesn’t mean that we should harm them in any way. We also need to believe that Jesus is the one true God, and he can do anything. He may not answer our prayers for things, because he wants us to not be attatched to the things of this world. Viva Cristo Rey!

in this scripture I think it talks about how jesus has been around for eternity and he says that he is God
This Scripture is telling us that if we believe in Him we shall have Eternal Life with God. If we believe what God is teaching us then we shall live eternally in God’s love and mercy in Heaven.
“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death.” what i think this is saying is that whoever believes and who ever trusts Jesus will not see death. Jesus is God and he will help those to Heaven as long as they keep their word and Jesus will help everyone.
I think the scripture is saying to have trust in Jesus, He does not lie therefore we need to trust his every word. God sent Him as He sent Abraham and the other prophets. Jesus has seen the prophets as God made them and see their works for His people. Jesus is the I AM.
I think that this scripture is talking about not backstabbing people and willing to keep promises and to be closer into the faith. They were talking about Abraham and how Jesus thinks he’s better than Him. But he never thought that He was just saying that Abraham wasn’t perfect just like us. No one is perfect in some way even if that is athleticism or not they aren’t perfect. But God is the perfect Human being and they just didn’t understand that.
Put your faith in Jesus. Believe in his works of mercy! Everyone’s, at some point, faith will falter. When this happens, we need to get back up again and continue our road to heaven just like how Jesus did with his cross. All God wants us to do is to trust him.
I think the Scripture reflection is saying to keep our word. We have to keep promises. Jesus kept his promises. If we say we are going to do something we have to do it, like our Lenten sacrifice. We have to try our best to keep our word.
In today’s Scripture Jesus said to the Jews “Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I AM.”
So they picked up stones to throw at him;” He said he was God and what did they do? THEY THREW STONES AT HIM! They didn’t believe He was God. After all the miracles He did.
The Gospel today says that if you keep my word you will not see death. He also say that he is the lord he says I am. My last point is he want to dies for he loves us so much that he will die for death on a cross.
Today Jesus is saying we need to be truthful and not lie to others and if we are truthful we will have life everlasting and we can be with God but, if we do not then we will be judged and sent to hell if we do not tell the truth.
Today’s scripture is very very meaningful. I think today’s scripture is trying to tell us that even if others or friends don’t truly believe in God, we need to be strong and still believe in Him and continue to build up a strong relationship with Him. It’s also telling us to spread the word to those who don’t believe or need to hear it. We need to get out of are phone and open our bibles for us to realize we need to spread it. Do you want to believe in God or satan, choose one. Don’t act like you don’t know who God is just to seem cool.
Jesus is done playing games. He’s done telling stories. He’s trying to convince the Jews that He is God, the father almighty. Sticks and stones may break His bones, but He’s still God no matter how much they beat Him.
I think this gospel is telling us to believe who the true God is. The Jews are a great example of believing in the true God. We need to be like the Jews. We need to realize that there is only one God and its Jesus. He is the only way we get into heaven so one fay we all have to believe.
This scripture is telling us that if we believe in him we will have eternal life. we see that whatever we believe in we will get out of it in heaven. If we believe in God we will surely have eternal life, but if our belief is on other objects or people we will decrease our chances. This is what I learned from today’s scripture reflection.
In this Gospel Jesus just says he is God. Which takes so much courage to do because who knows what they were going to do with him. They were going to kill him but Jesus was smart and just walked away. I think God is telling us to have courage and don’t back down.
The Jews still doubted that Jesus was the Son of God, so He had to flat out tell them that. And even then, they still thought He was still lying, so they took stones and threw them at Him. We should just believe that Jesus is God without anyone having to tell us.
Three words. Jesus is God. Can you believe Jesus used fighting words with the Jews?
This tells me that God is the one and only he is here for us and has given us everything we need to believe he is there for us forever until we have eternal life.
Let us not fall into the trap of following Gods commandments and going to all the Masses and receiving the sacraments so that we don’t go to hell, rather let us do the acts so that we might go to heaven, for there we “will never see death”
