Humbly submit your will to God and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Suppose one of you has a friend
to whom he goes at midnight and says,
‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
for a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey
and I have nothing to offer him,’
and he says in reply from within,
‘Do not bother me; the door has already been locked
and my children and I are already in bed.
I cannot get up to give you anything.’
I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves
because of their friendship,
he will get up to give him whatever he needs
because of his persistence.
“And I tell you, ask and you will receive;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks, receives;
and the one who seeks, finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
What father among you would hand his son a snake
when he asks for a fish?
Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg?
If you then, who are wicked,
know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit
to those who ask him?”
Today, Jesus reminds us to ask God for whatever we need physically or spiritually. Yesterday, Jesus taught us how to approach the Father in prayer through the Our Father prayer which has the 7 petitions to ask God the Father for everything we need. Today, I want you to reflect on what you’re asking for. What we want or what God has in store for us. Do we know what God wants for us or made us for. Jesus is letting us know today that the Father will take good care of us if we allow Him to. We must rest in His arms and allow Him to love us.
Jesus tells us if we seek the Truth (God) we will find Him. If we ask the Father for the Holy Spirit, He will give it to us. Even though God knows what you will be asking for, He wants you to ask, to make a friendship with Him, to allow Him to be your Father and help you. Jesus is with you in your prayer, He cries with you in your suffering, He rejoices with you when you feel sorrow for your sin and ask for forgiveness for this is why He died. Remember, you may not receive what you are asking for if it is not God’s will. He may be asking you to carry a cross to purify your soul in preparation for heaven or He may be testing your faithfulness to Him. He knows you and loves you more than you know and love yourself. He knows how to help you gain salvation. He wants you to participate in your salvation. Accept it with open arms and be ready to ask for His grace for the battle.
“God knows you better than you know yourself, God loves you more than you love yourself, God wants you to know His Will.” -Fr. Mike Schmitz
Today’s challenge: Allow God to help you, pray, seek, ask!
I think this Gospel is telling us that we can come to God for our sufferings. He isn’t like a vending machine where we ask for anything and we’ll get it, but if we absolutely need help, he will guide us to what we need. He wants us to become better people, so that we can get to Heaven. We just need to ask.
This Shows us that if we ask for gods grace and love he will give it to us. If we ask for a miracle he will give to us at one point in our life or another. If we truly beleive.
The gospel taught me that I can call out to God whenever I need to. He will always be there when I call for him and will be there even when I don’t think I need him. If I need any help then he will always be up to guide me along the path and help me when things get hard. When I am struggling he will be there when I need him most, I just need to be patient.
The scripture is telling me that God knows what we need. We may ask for something from God and not get it, but that’s because He has a good reason for keeping it from us. He will give us what we need when we need it if we ask Him to. We can ask for specific things, that won’t hurt, but we can’t be angry if it isn’t given to us or think that God has abandoned us.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that we never have to go through anything alone. He will be there for us no matter what even if all we need is someone to be a friend. He’ll give and help us with everything we just have to be open and ask about it. And we always have to have trust in God.
When it says ask and you shall receive it doesn’t mean that when ever you ask something from God you will get it right away. If it is God’s will it will be done but if it’s something like you want a material thing you can’t expect God just to give it to you because you asked. It also says seek and you shall find, if we acknowledge that God is there and we pray to Him He will answer us. So God is there waiting for us we just have to go to Him.
I can apply this to my life by always making sure I pray every morning and making sure I put effort into prayer when
I am in prayer.
Jesus is very simply saying that if you ask for God’s help it will be granted to you. Maybe not right away, but with “Persistence” it will be given to you. If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?” Of course, if you ask to win the lottery and it isn’t in God’s will then it will not be given to you. Jesus also says, “What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg?” Jesus won’t give you anything you can’t handle. He loves us and just wants us to be with him in his kingdom. This is how we know we can overcome hard things and daily struggles.
It’s saying that if you are treating people with respect, respect will be given and it will reward you for being kind. I think that asking for things and you’ve been good to people around you those things that they will ask for will be given to you and shown that you can be rewarded for doing these good things.
Jesus is telling us to be persistent in our faith. If we keep knocking at Jesus’s door seeking to get to Heaven we will get there. But if your persistence stops and we start to fall away from God, you have to get the strength and courage to go up to Jesus an dknock on His door to get yourself back into the faith.
What i think this scripture is saying to help others around you and be selfless. I think this means to help others in need if they are not doing good and just need something small or even someone to just talk to. We can also ask for something when we need it most and we shouldn’t be ashamed of asking either.
This is pretty neat. Jesus teaches us how we can ask anything of God, and it shall be given. Obviously, we can’t just ask God for anything, however, Jesus is simply saying that we should not be hesitant to ask God for what we need. He gives examples of what a wicked man would do when asked of, which is completely contrary to what God will respond with. He uses the parable of the man who needs bread to show that God will eventually give us whatever we need from him, even the gift of eternal life.
In this Gospel, Jesus says “knock and the door will be opened to you.” What Jesus is saying is when you ask for something from God, he will give it to you. So if you want something from him, pray to him and you will recieve it.
A good friend would help you so maybe your friend is fake and i need to look out for fake friends.
I think God is trying to tell us that if you believe in him and have good intentions God will help you. If God does not help you maybe he has a different plan for that person. I believe that God knows the best and will be with you always.
In today’s gospel God is telling me that we need to do anything for our friends and family. They are what are most important to us besides Jesus. Your friends are there to make you laugh every time you need happiness. Your family gave you life they put a roof over your head and gave you food and water to drink and eat. If you don’t do anything for those who are there for you, you have got to rethink the way you feel about them. In this same way we must give everything to God because He created us and we wouldn’t even be alive if it wasn’t for Him. Give Him you suffering, give Him your love, give Him your life because we are not here for you every time you need them. worthy to have such a great life because of our sin. When we sin we hurt God and that is not giving Him anything. So go to Mass and Pray every day and give up you life for Jesus.
If we are kind every single day, it becomes a habit in which makes us happier. I really want my friends, family, and everyone else to get to Heaven. That’s why it’s important to do everything in my power to help them do that. It doesn’t help anyone, including ourselves, to be mean to one another.
In today’s gospel, Jesus tells us to ask Him for our spiritual needs. If we trust in God, He will provide for us. If we knock, the door will be opened. I can use this in my life by praying to God and asking for His intercession.
If someone who is wicked can give good gifts but the one who is wise cannot, what will the Father give to the wise who cannot give good gift to those who ask? If he is truly wise, he would not give stone to the one who asked for a loaf, or a snake to the one who ask for water. Why would he be so wicked and be considered wise? If the other is truly wicked, why would he give good gifts? If we treat someone with great kindness, how much more would the Lord give?
Jesus tells us that if we knock the door will be opened for us, he tells us that the Father is very giving. Jesus wants us to treat others as we would want to be treated.
We should treat others how we would want to be treated and give to those in need.
Jesus is saying that you should be grateful for your things that you earn and be nice to everyone and they shall be nice to you
this scripture something that sticks out to me is that when Jesus said to his disciples:“Suppose one of you has a friend to whom goes
at midnight and says,‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, for a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey and I have nothing to offer him,’ it sticks out to me because i feel like it trying to say help other or something around that.
God is giving you what you ask for and God is asking you to let him in your life and becomes friends with him.
Just ask Jesus for guidance and he will help you. Jesus will help us when we need it. Even if you ask it in the middle of the night he will be awake and he can help you. We can ask through prayer or through words. God will take care of us because we are his children.
When I pray I’m talking face to face with God, our creator. We need to be serious about praying. In this Gospel reading I learned that if I ask my Heavenly Father for something and if I’m persistent in it then I will receive it. God knows how to give good gifts for his children so if you ask for something bad then you will not receive it. I need to learn how to give good gifts like how God does.
This scripture talks about a man asking a friend for some bread. However, the friend denies his request. However, after that it talks about how if the man didn’t get bread due to friendship, he would get it through persistence. When we ask something from God, it will not always be granted. However, if we show how much this means to us, perhaps is it is God’s will, He will grant what we wish for.
What reached out to me was that if we seek out the truth we will find Jesus. Jesus is in everything that we think, and do. Every action we take, Jesus is there. Jesus knows all and sees all, you can’t hide anything from him, but you can love him.
What sticks out to me the most is that Jesus is telling us to ask God for anything spiritually we need.
What i noticed in this scripture passage is the last part when it said because of their friendship,he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence”. This sounds like it is talking about prayer you have to be persistent in you prayer you can’t just pray once and expect to be happy or get what you want you must be persistent and have true devotion.
That God wont just answer our prayers the first time we ask we must be persistent. And pray often. By just praying/asking God for something once a month and only praying when you need something wont work. We have to pray often and be more persistent until God answers us he knows what is right so ask him.
In today’s reading I think God is telling us to share with our neighbors. We need to start acting less selfish because God made all of equally, no person on earth is better or worse than another.
I think that God is telling us in this scripture that we need to give up the things that we want, for other people and to always be generous and helpful to others even when we don’t have much to offer because there is always something to give.
Jesus is saying that we need to ask for help. If you give time to the Lord someone will be there and give you what you need. He said ” Ask and you will receive”. So we need to give time to the Lord in prayer and if you ask him for something you will receive.
God is always listening, physically or spiritually, you can ask God for whatever you need. You might not know He’s answering, so that is why you always need to be listening for Him.
I think that God is saying we should always be generous and we should always follow the golden rule.
What this scripture meant to me was that you shall receive what ever you shall find.
We can not receive grace from God if we don’t ask. We have to pray and worship God to ask for his forgiveness and grace.
what the scripture is telling me is that if you do good things the goodness will be returned to you and if you do bad things it will be repaid back by something that is also bad.
God will give us what we need, if we ask for it. He will give us what we need to get to heaven and have eternal life with Him. Bring all of your problems to God, so He can give you what you need, not want.
Jesus is telling us that if we get asked we shall give of what they want from us, not ignore them because we are “in bed”. I they ask they shall receive.
This scripture is telling us to have faith in God and come to Him. If we need something, just ask God. We must try before we give up. If we don’t try, then we don’t know if we would or wouldn’t get something. Have faith in God.
In this scripture today, we learn to ask God for whatever we want. If we ask this will build our bond stronger with God. God wants us to ask for help or for the Holy Spirit. This shows God that we understand he is the one and only God, and nobody can ever replace him. Whatever we ask of from God we will receive in some way.
“Ask and you shall receive.” We must ask Jesus Christ to fill our lives with grace and mercy. So many of us are depressed or angry with our world, yet we don’t pray to God for grace to fill our lives or for his mercy to flood our soul. So, we need to ask pray asking for those gifts, because he says, “”ask and you shall receive.
What i understood from this reading is that if you go ask a friend for help and they don’t help you that means that they are really not your friends and they stick around with you because you have something they like or want.
If we are able to help or friends, how come we turn down or rivals when they ask for help? In this Scripture, Jesus is giving his disciples a theory. Jesus is trying to tell us to not be afraid to talk to God and ask him questions. God wants to talk to you and help you in all the ways he can but he can’t show you the way if you don’t talk to him.
In today’s passage, it tells us that we need to ask God for whatever we want. By asking God, our bond with him will grow stronger. Whatever we ask of God, we shall receive because he always wants us to have a strong relationship with him, and talk to him through prayer. God wants you to ask him, and build a stronger friendship with him.
Some times we forget how good we have it. What if you were on the streets begin fore money and couldn’t get a job. then out o nowhere a man gives you 1000$ to restart your life and make it better. that man is Jesus Jesus is the man that can change your life in incredible ways and we need to thank him fore what he gives us. he can also teach us how to give. this saying explains my point guve a man a fish and he will eat fore a night teach a man to fish and he will eat many nights.we need to teach others to give and not just take that is how God wants us to act.
Unlike the friend that did not give his friend 3 loaves of bread, Jesus will give of bread and more. Jesus is kind to us and we should show that kindness to others. Jesus gives us more than we deserve, and I am truly great full for that.
God wants you to offer everything up to him and not just offer people in need all of the bad stuff you don’t want you should love them like your family. Also if you knock on the door of heaven they shall be opened up to you and if you seek heaven you shall find it.
The words that inspired me where “And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?” These words inspired me because when you die if you knock on Jesus’s door he will let you in. If you look you will find Jesus. These words can be so powerful to so many people, it’s amazing. These words say so little but mean so much. I love the fact that we are all one and that we are all family. That’s just a beautiful thing to hear and talk about. Everything on The Way JC has inspired me to always read the bible because I’ve learned that the readings are really special.
“And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” This piece of the Scripture tells us that God is willing to give us everything we need. Ask for your vocation to be revealed, it will become more clear to you. Seek the way to Heaven, you will find it. This gives us the idea that if we need something , we will get it. But you cannot live that way with everything given to you. You must believe the Lord knows your needs and can and will help you. God is compassionate in a way that no one on Earth could ever be. So, if you need it and you believe, you will get it.
This Gospel is telling us that if you want to talk to God he will always listen to you. God is telling us he is here you just have to look and then you will find him. but if you wait to long and push God back the doors will already be locked and it will be to late to try and get to heaven.

Jesus is telling us to ask God for whatever we need. He tells us that He will give it to us, we just must ask for it. Though, like any father, it is not a guarantee that we will receive it. If it’s God’s plan, then here you go! If it goes against God’s Will, then you may not receive what you ask for. It’s not God’s way of saying “you can’t have this”, but instead a way to bring us to holiness. For example, you really want the new video game that just came out, your parents say no, and so you decide to pray until you get it. If the video game is going to lead you to sin, chances are you are not receiving that gift. Now, what if we change the thing you want? What if you want to have courage or patience? God will give you that. God just wants you to believe in Him, be close to Him, and to trust in Him.
This Gospel is telling us that if you want to talk to God he will always listen to you. God is telling us he is here you just have to look and then you will find him. but if you wait to long and push God back the doors will already be locked and it will be to late to try and get to heaven.
Today’s Gospel tells us that God will give us anything that we need if we just ask him through prayer.
This message is telling me that we need to be ready to try to be persistent and accomplish our goals. It also shows us that we need to be ready for when people ask of us,
Something that sticks out to me is the quotes “And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find” this sticks out to me because we spend so much time wanted and trying to find stuff that we need and want but all that we need to do is ask. Ask and we will receive.
When we pray to God or Jesus for something he gives it to us. Like a us asking a friend for something he will give it to us. Jesus wants us to seek the truth and tries to help us in what he gives us. Jesus wants us o be kind to other people, give to other people, and help other people.
This scripture shows me that i can always trust if God and this lets me know that God will never ever abandon me. He will always give me the best. The phrase I liked very much from this scripture is “And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
And I tell you, ask and you will receive. This is think this is saying we should always pray to the Lord with our struggles and to never lose faith in him. We should put the Lord first always and if we do maybe we shall receive what we asked for.
Jesus tells us to day that if you prayer is not answered the first time then it will be answered if you are persistent. Prayer works! There are countless times I have asked for something and it happens.
In today’s gospel I think Jesus is asking me to knock, I don’t really like asking for help and often times would rather take a bad grade that ask a question if I feel uncomfortable, but I think he is telling me that I need to ask, so that I can receive.
The gospel today is telling me that God will do anything for us, all you have to do is pray with him everyday. In the scripture it says “he will get up and give you whatever he needs” this is telling me that God will do anything for us.
What I think this Gospel is telling us is that we should ask instead of assume or steal. Ask and you shall receive. It’s better to be safe than sorry and that we should give to others.
Today, Jesus is telling us to ask him for things. He’s telling us that whatever we ask of him, he will give us. Now this doesn’t mean that we ask him for the PS5 or an IPhone 12, that’s not what he means. What he means is that if we ask him for grace, and his or his mothers intercession to help with our problems, he will deliver. As he says, “What father among you would hand his son a snake
when he asks for a fish? Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg?”. What kind of person would Jesus be if he didn’t deliver on his promise and give us what we ask for. Today, he’s pleading with us, telling us to ask him. He will give you what you need if you just trust him and ask. He will help you with whatever stress you have, anxiety you have, trouble you have. He will help you with anything, you just need to be a man and ask him
We need to put our life in God’s hands trusting and having faith that he will lead you to Heaven. Jesus is here for us through the successes and through the struggles, but we have to get trough them with God and they only way that will happen is through prayer and having faith knowing our God will do the right thing for us because he already died on the cross for us.
I think the scripture is saying we will get what we find and we need to put our lives in His hands.
I think Jesus is saying to not be afraid to ask things of him. The gospel today says that ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, etc. The family of Chase Gear prayed through the intercession of Fr. Kapaun that he may be healed and he was. Jesus is telling us that we have to have faith in Him. I can apply this to my life by every time I pray, think of a special intention to devote that prayer for and believe.
The part that stood out to me was “If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him”. Almost everyone knows at least one person who is good to you. The things they do for you is NOTHING compared to what God will do for you. No one will be better to you than God.
If we open our ears we will finally hear what God has been telling us. If we open our eye wee will finally see the Truth. “and the one who seeks, finds;”, we seek Jesus and see with our eye and hear with our ears we will find what we have been looking for. We ask and we receive, we knock and the door will be opened. We ask Him and He gives. God has given so much for us because we ask, now we should try to hear that He is talking to us.
Jesus is asking us to trust Him. To seek and find. With our prayer and His help, we can be the best we can be. Not all of our prayers will be answered… the way we want them to. He tests us and He knows us better than we know ourselves. We have to trust Him enough to believe that He will deliver.
I think that through this Gospel, God is trying to tell me that if you don’t ask, you won’t receive. We need to believe, talk, listen, and pray to Jesus. Jesus died to have a relationship with us, but if we don’t pray, we won’t grow closer and keep this special bond. You will get frustrated in prayer just as in every day life. We may be upset if we don’t do well in a sport. Some prayers don’t get answered the way we want it to, but He does care about every little thing we’re worried or anxious about.
What I got from this Gospel is that if you ask you shall receive. In the Gospel it said knock and the door shall be opened. This means that if you ask for something from God you will receive it. This Gospel also tells me that if you pray then Jesus will answer your prayer or something you ask for like Grace.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that we should keep our friendships with people as long as we can because they could help you one day and then you could help them back
This scripture is telling me that you should receive whatever you find, always be generous.
To me this means that you can’t just get things without asking. You need to ask God for things if you really want it. Miracles don’t just happen, you need to pray and wish for one. The exact same thing goes for if you are looking or “seeking” for something.
I think this scripture is telling us to ask and you shall receive I think that means if you pray to God he will give heaven as a reward.
I think this scripture is telling us to ask and you shall receive I think that means if you pray to God he will give heaven as a reward.
To me this Scripture is saying that Jesus supplies us of everything we need in life. We don’t need to worry or stress about anything in life, because Jesus has already given it to us. When we worry about things, it’s really just us doubting Jesus. God already knows our wants and needs, and if it is meant to be that we have that desire in our life, then God will give it to us.
I think that He is telling us that if we want to ask him for something then we need to let Him into our life. In order to let Him into our life we have to be silent and ignore all the distractions. We also have to follow Him and listen to what He has to say for and about us.
I think that God is telling us in this scripture that we need to give up the things that we want, for other people and to always be generous and helpful to others even when we don’t have much to offer because there is always something to give. Also I feel like sometimes people don’t accept our request of giving them things and if this happens then give it to someone else or just don’t let them not take it.
I like this Gospel because Jesus is saying that you will be given back what you give, this means that if you share kindness that kindness will be given back to you.
If we want to live eternaly with God in heaven, then we need to give up everything to God such as our problems. So we shall have no worrys when we enter His Kingdom.
In todays scripture Gods telling us to be grateful for what he have and to be generous for the people that does not have anything in there life.
I enjoyed the is Gospel story. To me it shows me that I could be more merciful to others. It might seem like you get the sort end of the stick if you do something for someone else, but I usually always ending up having a positive effect on you somehow. I feel like people now a days are really reluctant to share stuff with others, but I think that everyone could benefit from a little more kindness in the world.
In the Scripture it says God is always watching and listening, God will give us what we need if we ask for it. If you do good things those good things will eventually come back to you.
I think it is saying, what you have been teaching us Papa G, is that love requires the response. God is our eternal life and happiness. He reaches out to us and we go the other direction just like Jonah. He calls us and we disagree so we turn away. Why is this? We know that we can do anything because Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens ME.” God loves us and gives us that power though we turn it away because we might be different. Why is that bad? Yes, I too need to work on this but last time I checked no one was like Jesus and he is God. So reach out to him and be different.
Jesus will do anything for us even though we do not deserve it. But all we give him in return is betrayal and disobedience. We need to give Jesus love and patience because he will do anything for us Jesus should be our best friend but some of us act like we do not even know him.
In the Gospel today Jesus is telling us to give to others. He wants us to give not just to give but to give sincerely with all of our heart.
I think the Scripture is saying that showing kindness is like a chain where you pass it along to one another. If we preach the God News it will also get passed along as well. God will always give us what we need in return if we do as he asks of us. We need God in our lives, so we need to trust that he will anything for us and will always be the person you can turn to.
I think that this reading is trying to tell us to dream for the stars. Often times in this culture we are told that we can’t do that or we can’t become that. I have been told I can’t become an NBA player and that is true but that doesn’t mean you can try. When Jesus says, “Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” He is saying that you should wish for specific virtues to be strengthened in you. If you do this then you will be strong in your faith and you will be able to get to heaven.
I think this means that even when we are comfortable, when a friend asks for something that we have for the good of a neighbor, we should always provide. For our friends, for our families, we always need to provide for the good of others.
jesus git sicfis and tbhe lp the he wanyt to taku the pan
The passage to me means that we should be grateful. This means that we should not beg to others for what they have but beg to the father to give you grace to get these things quicker.
Be kind to others and treat them how they treated you or if they were in a person in need going up to your door step asking if they can come in and just have some food or take a shower you wouldn’t turn them away you would do what Jesus would do and help the person in need.
Jesus is asking a house owner if he could spare 3 loaves of bread because he has met a old friend and he has nothing to offer and the man turns him down and says me and all of my kids are in bed. This man probably has no clue that this is Jesus and he just thinks that he can’t help someone in the middle of the night.
This is saying that we as people are to lazy to go and receive communion and that we try to make excuses by saying we are already in bed so we can’t give anything to you or we can’t help you because we are to tired.
In this reading Jesus is telling me that we should care for our friends and that we should be nice to them. We should be more like Jesus and be kind and care about our friends more.
I think it means that we actually have to pray to God if we want something. And that we should also talk to God as a friend.
I think God is trying to tell us that we need to give up everything that is keeping us away from him. Also he wants us to pray to him but not just him to the people in need. The people who need them and hold in the silence in our hearts.
Scripture is saying that even though you may have nothing, having selflessness and hospitality is always one of the best ways to show appreciation. You will always find a way with God’s help.
Today, this scripture is telling me that Jesus will always supply us everything we truly need in life. We don´t ever need to worry or be down on ourselves about anything in life, because Jesus has already given it to us or will if he truly thinks we need it. But, if we want to receive we need to give back in thanks. This means truly thanking God in prayer. God always knows our needs, and if it meant to be that way, then God will give it to us. But, we have to ask him. We can´t demand him. Jesus is always merciful.
I think that today’s scripture is trying to say that we should never be afraid to ask God for anything. God doesn’t want you to be afraid of him, he wants you to be aware that he loves us and wants to lead us on the path to heaven. Although God doesn’t grant everything that you will ask for, it is still okay to ask God for something through prayer.
Jesus is telling us today that we can be open with him in prayer because he is always there. Just like in the scripture “knock and the door will be opened to you.” Jesus is telling you that He will always be there for you when you need him. He always will make time for you.
What really stuck out in today’s Gospel to me was “ask and you will receive”. This stuck out to me because by praying we can ask God to help us.If we pray and ask God, we will receive something from him.God will always provide for us.
“What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish” What I think Jesus is trying to tell me is that our world is like this. I think the world is like this because people might post something that they believe and someone with “hand them a snake” or in other words type a mean comment mock they are even go out of there way to make a mean post about them. I also think we are like this to our parents. When they ask us how our day is going we might act grumpy and be mean to them. They weren’t expecting that we just “handed them a snake.” I think the message to be told here is be kind to everyone no matter who they are.
I think the gospel tells us to sacrifice for God. Because God gave so much for everyone. And to pray with God talk to God be his best friend because he changes lifes everyday. Because those people followed him and prayed with him and to him.
I think the scripture is telling us to not just to rely on God. We need to rely on ourselves too.
In this Scripture passage, Jesus reveals to us that if we ask him for something, it will be given to us, though not always in the ways we want. As long as it doesn’t interfere with God’s plan, Jesus will do what’s best for you. If you look for God, you will find him, even in the most littlest and simplest ways.
Jesus is telling us that if we follow Him and live a faithful life, we will have a good relationship with God. I think when we go through trouble in our life Jesus is just testing our faithfulness to Him.
I think this is refering to the gold rule. IT’s trying to say “If you want the loaf, you must share the loaf.” But, what if you replace the loaf with God. If we want others to become christian, we can’t hog God.
You have to stay awake and prepare yourself for God. You have to prepare your soul because you may not be accepted into the kingdom of God.
I feel like Jesus is telling that we need to tell him when we need something. But at the same time we cannot expect him to give us everything that we want. We need to start preparing are selves for God whenever we go to mass in the morning or afternoons. Plus we should not slouch or slack whenever we are in mass.
