Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus went to the district of Tyre.
He entered a house and wanted no one to know about it,
but he could not escape notice.
Soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him.
She came and fell at his feet.
The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth,
and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter.
He said to her, “Let the children be fed first.
For it is not right to take the food of the children
and throw it to the dogs.”
She replied and said to him,
“Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.”
Then he said to her, “For saying this, you may go.
The demon has gone out of your daughter.”
When the woman went home, she found the child lying in bed
and the demon gone. MK 7:24-30
The Syrophoenician woman is a non-Jew and a foreigner. She is unclean according to Jewish law. She has not been raised in Jewish ways and does not understand or know about the story of God and His chosen people of Israel. This is why Jesus says, “Let the children be fed first (Jews).” She perseveres, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” She understands that she is not worthy but she believes Jesus has the power to heal her daughter who she loves. Faith consists of trust, perseverance, and humility. As we are about to embark on another 40 days in the desert, we will be fasting, praying, and giving alms. This is a great checkpoint to see how strong your faith is. What parts of your life or sin is leading you away from Christ? Is your faith lukewarm? Do you desire holiness? Ask Jesus to increase your faith this Lenten season!
Today’s challenge: Faith begins with hope. Pope Francis said that Christian hope is born in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a belief that begins in your heart. When we realize we cannot do life on our own, we fall to our knees and ask God for help. We then start a journey of faith by seeking Jesus Christ and we sit and begin to learn about Him in the Scriptures. Once we have discovered the joy that Christ brings, we want to share it, which is love.
God, please increase in me faith, hope, and love.
Be a servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
I can use this to realize that even though there are people who don’t beleive in God, they can still experience good things. for example, it’s not like Worlds of Fun only excepts people with VIP passes. If you can get a ticket, you can go.
She believes that Jesus can heal her daughter. We need to believe that Jesus will forgive us despite our sin. We must have faith in Him.
I feel like this scripture was more of a casual Jesus moment, healing people and preaching, which shows that Jesus was not always doing these large miracles or these large healings, but he also lived a normal life like we are today.
That woman was possesed and she still fell down at God’s feet begging her faith was so strong even with a demon she asked the Lord for what she needed. I need to do more of this praying to God and asking him for his help spiritually. And ask Jesus to help me avoid sin.
This Gospel teaches me to have more faith. The lady in this gospel showed that she trusted in Jesus even when she was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth which was seen as unclean. She saw that she was not worthy but she still had faith in Jesus and his love. It teaches that we should have faith in the Lord even today. We have to trust that he knows whats planned for us.
In the scripture today, a woman comes to Jesus to get a demon out of her daughter. She knows she isn’t worthy of the healing but she persists and her daughter is healed. I think we can do this in our faith by never forgetting God and being persistent in our faith. Always loving Jesus no matter what and always being faithful to Him.
I can apply this to my life by remembering that even though I am not perfect and I will never be completely clean forever, confession is always there for me. God is perfect in love and always willling to forgive no matter what the circumstances are. To be forgiven is to lay your life down for christ.
During this upcoming Lent season we should be asking God for help when we need it. We should also be putting our faith and trust in God. A big part of the realtionship we desire to have with God, is trust and faith because that is the foundation of our faith. We should work on putting that trust in Him and asking for help when we need it because He will always be willing to help us if we ask.
When they say “Lord, even the the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps” i feel like that means that satan is coming after them.
I can apply this to mt life by listening to God’s word and by trusting that he knows what’s best for me. I can also listen to God more closely in prayer and asking for forgiveness like the woman asked Jesus to drive out the demon.
No matter who you are, if you believe and pray to Jesus he will help you.
This reading is talking about how a woman going to Jesus and begging him to take the demans out of her daughter. I can reflect on this reading by going to confession and begging him to take away my sins.
We are all worthy to go to heaven but sometimes how we treat other people and ourselfs. Jesus is always guiding us to Heaven but when we sin we go in the different direction that Jesus is going
If the woman in the gospel knew God wasn’t going to help her seh wouldn’t have gone to him. We need to put trust in God and trust in him that he’s there and will help us.
One thing that I can take away from this scripture today is to remember to have faith in God and believe that he will do what he thinks is best. The woman in the gospel wouldn’t have come to jesus if she didn’t believe that he would help her. But he has set this loving example of always helping those in need, so that, this woman knew if she brought her troubles to the feet of Jesus, he would take care of them. This is what we need to do in our lives today with the problems and struggles that we have in our everyday lives.
The woman in today’s scripture comes to Jesus, knowing that she is unworthy. She puts faith in Him and perseveres to have her daughter healed. Jesus saw her faith, and healed her daughter. We are unworthy, and we our all sinners. However, just like the woman, if we put our faith in Jesus and repent then we can be forgiven and healed.
This means that God will always be there for us and he will always try to protect us and provide for us. God is there when we need him and when we just need someone to pray to. God will never turn his back on us. He loves us very much and will do anything for us if we belive and love him.
The woman isn’t a Jew, but she still has faith, and Jesus heals her daughter. We have to have faith with God, and this is what this Gospel is speaking to. To have faith, and to trust.
Who are we? Are we going to be dogs that steal from everything? Or are we children, the ones who can grow up and live the life intended for us? Everything leads toward this, and you can either be a dog, or a child.
This woman’s faith was strong, and she came to Jesus begging to help her daughter. This is an example of a mother’s love for her children. I am almost certain this woman would have done anything to help her daughter. Jesus saw her faith in Him and in God, and he sent the demon out of the woman’s daughter. This shows us that in times of great need, we need to turn to Jesus and ask him for help.
I can reflect on this because it tells me that if God knows what you ask of is good, he will see how much you need it by begging him for days, weeks, months or even years, to see if you really do believe that God will always help you if he sees it neccessary.
The woman knows that she is not worthy to ask the help of jeasus but she dose it any way becuse she has faith in his mercy and kindness.
We are all sinners. If we put our trust in God, like the woman, He will heal us.
What I can take away from this reading today is that we need to trust God that he will do good. If we trust in God we can feel safe and always know he is there for us. If we are going through a rough time place your trust in jesus and let him guide you.
The woman comes to Jesus even if she is unworthy. She has faith in Him even if she is unfaithful and unworthy of His healing. We need to trust Jesus and come to Him even when we are sinning to ask for His forgiveness. We need to have faith in Jesus no matter how unworthy we are of His healing.
What i got from todays scripture is that, God doesnt care how great your sin is he is always there to forgive you for the lord loves you.
Dont Judge a book by its cover. What this means in this passge is that if you see a person who is athiest or does not believe in God dont jump to conculsions that they are bad because a lot of them are really good people. They might not accept that Christ is their true King but we can show them by our actions how Jesus would act when he was on Earth.
In todays Gosple it tells us that no matter what we do God sees it. God is in our hearts every second of our lives. He is never not there for us he never leaves our side he alwasy there right in out hearts. This is why if we struggle in life or need help we should go straight to God and pray to him and ask for his help. God loves us so much so we need to love him so much back and pray to him and ask for his love deeper into our hearts. He truly loves us so much so we need to do the same back to him and love him so much back.
If we truly want something from God we have to persist and have a conversation with God. We cannot just pity ourselves, we must take action and ask God.
Even though the woman knew she was unworthy, begging for Jesus’ help, she still wouldn’t take no for an answer. We need to be like the woman because we always need to trust that God will lead us down the right path and always has a plan for us.
I can apply this to my life I am not perfect and confession is their for me. and i need to trust in God and he will guide me to heaven.
Even if you think you are unworthy God thinks you are. Some times you may be the dog under the table only eating the scrapts. But you’ll start to notice the more and more you belive the more scrapts you get eventually you will be the girl feeding the dog and dropping the food.
The woman went to Jesus with total faith. She knew that He was her Lord. She put all her faith in Him and got what she desired.
I think in today’s scripture the woman is representing what we should be as a society. We shouldn’t back down and stay silent. We need to speak out for what is right and correct people when they are wrong. I don’t mean to boss people around (which is something we all, especially me, need to work on), I mean we need to be able to produce facts and beat the nay sayers at their own game. We need to stand up for what we believe in and try to make the world a better place for everyone. God will always be there and when we trust him and put our faith in him, we will have the strength to succeed.
If we have faith, jesus will be there for us. The woman knew she was unworthy, but had faith that Christ would take care of her and her daughter. We are like the woman, we are unworthy, but if we have faith, Jesus will take care of us. God will always do what is right, even if we think it should have been different.
I can apply this to my life by understanding in this scripture that the women fell before Jesus and begged for healing. She trusted and believed in his power and strength over us. If we believe in God, in his teachings, and in his miracles that he has done, we will live a much happier and holy life.
I can apply this to my life by entrusting Christ with my problems I am facing. In the Scripture, the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth, who had no faith in Christ. When He came to see her, she asked Him to help her daughter, who had been possessed. She trusted Jesus, even though she was not Jewish, and this shows me that I should trust God with my difficulties. God will help me, just like He helped the woman’s daughter in this passage.
This scrpiture is talking about how we should treat everyone with kindness. Even though this woman was not raised in the Jewish faith Jesus still healed her daughter. She knew that she wasn’t worthy but he still heald the girl.
Jesus is here to help us. All we have to do is ask of Him. But we need to be careful not to treat HIm like a slot machine. The most healthy relationships are the ones were both sides give and take. A relationship will not work if only one side is giving and the other is taking. So just because what you asked of Jesus didn’t come true. Doesn’t mean He doesn’t love you or that He hasn’t anwsered your prayers. But what it does mean that your being to selfish. You must put 100% of your faith in God. And when your giving and taking, fully believing, and are living a chased, modested, and holy life. Thats perfect union in Christ.
I can apply this scripture to my life by trusting and putting my faith in Jeus. Jesus will help us if we can just trust Jesus and put our faith in him. Jeus will guide us and do what’s best for us if we can just believe in Jesus
I can apply this scripture to my life by trusting and putting my faith in Jeus. Jesus will help us if we can just trust Jesus and put our faith in him. Jeus will guide us and do what’s best for us if we can just believe in Jesus. Jesus has a plan for all of us! as long as we trust him he will do what’s best for you.
this scripture is telling me that the lady had so much faith and trust in Jesus. She went up to him and prayed and begged for him to help.this shows her trust that he will heal and forgive.
When we fully believe in Jesus and put all of our faith into him, he will answer the prayers that we send to him through prayer.
You could have done anything bad, but God will still love you. You could have killed someone, but he would still love you. No matter what you do he will love you. God’s love in infinate.
In this scripture, Jesus healed a womans daughter who was non jew and greek who believed in roman Gods. This shows that jesus is loving to all and cannot not love. I can apply this to my life by not judging people by what they believe in.
This women who didn’t understand the power of Jesus saw the Love he possesed and the power and reliezed that he could cast out this demon. This shows the love and strength of Jesus and God and their ability to heal you of any sin.
What I got from today’s scripture is that Jesus always has a plan for us. We need to trust him and even though things might get hard, he’ll always be there to help us through it. We can pray to him and ask for guidence.
Even though she wasn’t Jewish she trusted Jesus, we need to understand that God will help us no matter what we do.
In today’s scripture Jesus is teeling us that if someone has an unclean spirit they should go to God and ask to be healed. For God is forgiving.
The woman knew that she wasn’t worthy of Jesus’ help yet she still goes to him, asks him to heal her daughter. And though Jesus knows that she doesn’t believe in him, he heals her daughter. Jesus is kind of trying to tell us that even if we don’t like someone, or if they don’t have the same beliefs as us, we should help them. Or do what we can to help them, or make them feel better.
This scripture is telling us that we need to have complete faith in God that he will forgive us and provide for us. Even though the women is unclean she trusts that Jesus loves and wants to help everyone who believes in him.
Even though she wasn’t Jewish she trusted Jesus, we need to understand that Jesus will help us no matter what.
In this scripture the woman came to Jesus feeling unworthy. She begged for jesus’ healing, she wouldn’t take no for an answer and she had faith in him. What I can take away from this scripture is that even if I feel unworthy sometimes God knows im always having faith in him. He know that i want him to guide me towards heaven.
What I learned from this passage was that Jesus with help you no matter what you need help with even if it is getting demons out of you, he loves you so much that he would do anything to help you.
I can apply this to my life by being more forgiving in others just like Jesus forgave this lady that doesn’t even really know Jesus. This just goes to show us how much God loves each and everyone of us and to cure her daughter as Jesus did was remarkable and just believing her would have taken everything of me to believe her.
This scipture reminds me that God is all love and all forgiving and that we shouldn’t be scared to go to him and ask for forgivness or even help with patience, foritude or knowledge. Jesus will always answer our prayers, it may not be in the way you want him to respond to it, but he WILL give you an answer that will help you be closer to him.
In this scrpiture passage, a woman falls at Jesus’ feet, and he cleanses her daughter of an evil spirit. I can apply this gospel to my life by putting all of my faith in Jesus and believing that he has the power to drive out evil.
The woman came to Jesus and begged for forgivness, but she is a greek, she doesn’t understand or know about God but she put all of her faith, hope, and love into Jesus and begging him to drive the unclean spirit out of her child. I would be willing to bet that this woman would be willing to to do anything to have Jesus drive the unclean spirit out of her child. This is the mark of a mother, a mother willing to do anything to protect her child. She put all of her faith in God, the true God that isn’t part of her religion, and her faith in Jesus drove out the unclean spirit in her child.
What I took away from today’s scripture reflection is that God loves us no matter what the the sin is or how big or little it is. When need to trust that God is real and believe thgat he is real so we can have our sin freed. Also so we can one day get to our goal of Heaven. Even though this woman was not raised in the Jewish faith Jesus still healed her daughter. She knew that she wasn’t worthy but he still heald the girl.
The scripture today is really touching to me because he said to her go for the demon has been drawn out of your daughter. i feel as though this is telling me that no matter what God and Jesus will love you no matter what your rekligion belifes he loves you for you and even if you were to follow a religion with the belifes that God is not real and that he doesnot excist he LOVES you and will always love you. i can take away from this that i can put my faith and trust in his hands and he will no matter what love me and he will help me even without my call for help.
The woman believed in Jesus and trusted him. We need to do the same. We should always have faith in him. He will always be there to love and forgiveus.
This reading is talking about how a woman going to Jesus and begging him to take the demans out of her daughter. I can reflect on this reading by going to confession and begging him to take away my sins.
I can apply this to my life by giving God all my problems. The woman was unworthy, and she wasn’t a Jew.She came to Jesus with her problems, even though she knew she had sinned. But it didn’t matter to Jesus. She was one of his children and loved her. He cured his son, even though she was unworthy. I need to go to God even though I sinned, even though I failed, because, like what happened in the gospel, Jesus will forgive us and help us because we are his child and he would do anything for us.
The woman cameto Jesus even if she is unworthy. She has faith in Him even if she is unfaithful and unworthy of Jesus’ healing. It made me remeber something someone once told me, “Everyone will inevitibly change for the better or fior worse,” it made me realize that this woman was unfaithful and unworthy. However, she had faith in Jesus and changed for the better.
It means that just because you’re not catholic you can still receive God’s miracles and believe
Jesus forgives our sins no matter how big they are. He loves us so much! He died on the cross to open the gates of Heaven so that WE could get to Heaven and be with God for eternity.
This scripture is telling me to have faith like the woman in the scripture. When she replied “Even the dogs eat the children’s scraps under the table” Jesus knew that she had a lot of faith.
the woman fell down at Jesus’ feet and cleanses them to drive out a demon in her daughter. I will forever remember this moment for knowing god can drive out demons
I can apply this to my life by knowning God forgives all sin. The women came to Jesus even if she is unworthy.
In todays gospel a woman comes to Jesus beging him to take the demon out ofher daughter. This is just like us when we repent to Jesus because before we ask for forgivness and are full of sin we are like the daughter with the demon inside of her but once we repent we are now filled with Jesus instaead of the devil.
I apply this to my life by trusting God with my poblems and trusing that He will make all of my imperfections vanish. I need to trust in God that he will make me clean ofallsin when i go to confess to him. I need to trsu God that he will guide me into his light.
if you comunicate with God he will come thru
The Gospel teahes us to have faith and trust in God. The lady brought her child to Jesus and begged for him to get the demon out of her daughter. For saying “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” Jesus released the demon from her daughter. I feel like “even dogs under the table eat the chldren’s scraps” means that the dogs are the devils tempting us.
I can apply this to my life by Knowning God loves me and will forgive me for all my sins no matter what. All you have to do is go to confession and tell the priest your sins and ask for them to be forgiven.
In this reading a woman goes to Jesus asking to get the spirit out of her daughter. Whenever she went back home she found that the spirit that was in her daughter was gone. This shows us that whenever something happens to us God will help.
This is another one of Jesus’ mircales and it shows that he can do anything with the power of prayer,
In this gospel if you listen to God and what He tells you He will help you. We can do this by choosing the nice and kind things to do and say. We can also help people around your house so they will help other people.
This teaches me that God can see everthing we do if its good or bad and we just push it to the side like its nothing thinking nothing will happen when things do happen.
What stood out to me today was when Jesus told the woman, “Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.” Today, a non-Jewish foreigner comes and seeks out Jesus to beg for His forgiveness because her daughter had an unclean spirit in her. When Jesus says this, the woman in reply says, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” This shows that she recognizes that she is not worthy of Jesus, but He is loving and forgiving, and He wants us to all be with him.
I can apply this scripture to my life by trusting in God because he has a plan for me. The first way to get to Heaven is to trust in God, knowing that he will lead me down the right path.
We can always ask the Holy Spirit for help even if we don’t feel worth of Him I know this because the women says even the dogs eat from the childrens scraps. If we are dogs we can still recive the Holy Spirit even if we don’t feel worthy.
In this scripture the woman had put her faith in Jesus to tkae the demon from her daughter. Like the woman, we should put our faith in Jesus to forgive our sins.
Sometimes as Christians we become unfaithful and there are points where we seem to not fully understand and believe like this woman. As Christians we need to see the good in God and believe and know God can do all things and he is truth, he is above all things.
We are like the unclean spirit women when we sin. We have to go back to God so He can heal us so we can make it to Hevean to spend eternite with Him. We have to rember no matter how big the sin God will love us and forgive us.
I think that lots of times today, we think of ourselves as higher than other people. The woman in today’s gospel tells us that only
God can satisfy our needs. The woman realizes that God has the ability to do wondrous things, we just have to believe and trust in Him. I can apply this to my life, by putting others before myself and always coming back to God even when I’ve sinned.
This is a unique reading to many of the others that we have reflected on. This reading shows the humility that is necessary in order to get to Heaven. We are like the dogs under the table and we have to be the ones to take what we can. Not all of our life is going to be perfect and sometimes we are going to have to rely on other people to get us through it. So this is a reminder to us that we are not ‘above’ any chore or job. Those ‘lowly’ things that we do are often times the things we should be doing. If I were to take away anything from this reading it would be that we should all know that we are not always the most important person in the situation.
Just like Jesus tested the Greek woman, He also tests our faith too. St. James says, “Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. And let perseverance be perfect, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” When we go through struggles, like the Greek woman did, we must turn to Jesus because He’s always the answer. When we are anxious about anything, we must trust that the Lord lets everything happen for the good of those who love Him.
This reading is telling me that I can trust in God and that though satan will always try and find his way into my life I can always push him away and ask for God’s help.
No matter how bad we are we can always come to Jesus. He listens to our prayers and cares for us if we come to him.
Even though she wasn’t born into being a Jew she was formed by Jesus and what He did. I can apply this to myself and I can put this I my life by seeing that God is almighty and Jesus sacrificed himself for me.
This is telling us that no matter how unworthy we are, if we truly belive in God we will be alright.
This gosepl is telling me to have faith. To have faith in God and in others. I need to make sure I am faithful to my teachers, family, friends, etc. In the gosepl the woman relized that God can do so many things that she never thought about. She thought this because she didn’t have faith in God.
This is just another reason that Jesus is one with God. When you pray to Jesus you know it is posible as long as you believe in him.
The woman came to Jesus, hoping he would heal her daughter, even though she wasn’t seen as worthy. Just like us, we aren’t worthy of Jesus and his love, but we still go to him hoping her would heal us. We are often at times unfaithful, or unclean in spirit. We go to God to heal us, and he will if we have faith in him.
This woman would not take no for an answer. I think this shows just how much faith she had that she did that. She knew only Jesus could heal her daughter and he did. Jesus is always the answer we just need to trust in him and give ourselves wholly to hi
Sometimes as Christians and we become unfaithful for what we have. This women came up to Jesus and begged him for help and forgiveness. As humans we should always be grateful for what we have and when we are having bad times go the Church and pray to Jesus ask him for help ask him for forgiveness. If we do this then we will live a great and happy life and hopefully make it to eternal life in Heaven
I think we can ralte this passage, and not just this on, to present day life. Right now there is discrmination because of skin or what political side you are on. When we need to understand God is for everyone, who is willing to sacrifice and lay down their life for him, putting God first and then others no matter what. We do not need to judge because God is for us all and he wants to be with us all.
If you don’t live by the faith and do no good, are you any better than dogs?
i can apply this to my life by trusting God and allow him to make me do the good thing so i can reach heaven
I feel that through this Gospel passage, the Lord is trying to tell me that it is normal to sin, it is normal to feel guilt or the pain that we get from sinning. But just because it’s normal, doesn’t mean we don’t have to be sorry for sinning. We as human beings are called to live eternity with God, but first we have to believe in Him and be tuly sorry for all the times we hurt Him. God will forgive us so matter how big the sin, but in order for Him to forgive us, we have to be truly sorry for all that we did wrong. So, I guess you could say that we are kind of like the women’s daughter, and her unclean spirit, and WE have to be the ones to fix our relationship with God, because he is doing the best He can, but He can’t do it all for you, because WE need to decide if we belive in Him or not, if we want to go to Heaven or not, and if we love God and want a relationship with Him or not.
If we beilive in God everything will be ok. God we also always forgive us no matter what.
What I took from todays scripture is that if you beleive in God and trust in him life will get better. What I can take from this is that dont be so gready and want so many things because you want to be cool or popular. If you want things be humble about it and dont brag and show off to all your freinds because you want to be cool and bettter than them be humble and be respectful to others.
Today Jesus isn’t actually telling us anything, Mark is. He is telling us that no matter who you are, you can trust in Jesus. We don’t have to be chosen or of a certain race, we just have to trust in him and we are already halfway to holiness. Just like the Syrophoenician woman trusted him to heal her daughter, we should trust him to heal us. Trusting someone to heal someone you love takes time, and usually we trust doctors because they have a degree in medicine. But this lady trusted Jesus, a 30 year old man, who she didn’t know, to trust your daughter. Would you trust a strange man to heal your mom, your dad, or your brother or sister. Most of us wouldn’t, but we need to trust that he has the ability to cure any sickness. Like Abraham trusted God, we need to trust God. Abraham almost killed his son because God asked him too, so what will we do when God calls us

This reading is important. It tells us that Jesus is there for anyone even people who don’t believe. In this reading, there was a woman who is not a jew and doesn’t know the backstory to Jesus and the Jews. She also think she isn’t worthy. Jesus still drove out the demon from her daughter even if she didn’t know. Through God’s love we can find the answer to a problem. In this case the demon was the problem. There was also another. Like I said she didn’t know about the story of God, but she does believe Jesus has the power to drive the demon out of her daughter. She trusted in him. We should too.
This reminds me that even the poorest people will eat the rich people scraps or even non-catholics can be catholics any time. This means to me that God will also be with us every second of our lives. Even when their is nothing good happening in that moment. God will always be with us to help us out.
This Gospel hit me in a different way than all of the other gospel we have read has done. It made me feel like I was there. I could just imagine all of this happening so clearly and well that it was kind of scary. Just the way that it had happened with the daughter and the uncleans Spirit, to The sayings, It just is one of my Favorite stories now.
I can put this in my life by communicating with god and admiring him in who he is after I read this scripture
i think he is saying that connfession is imortant and he will clean our souls no matter what
This scripture is saying that if we need something God knows about it, we ask and we recieve a lot of the time. If we were not to recieve it doesnt mean God doesnt love us or that he is not real. Not every one of our prayers will be answered so we have to keep praying until it does. This woman asked God to save and cast out the demons of her daughter. Jesus healed the girl and her mother saw no demons in her.
This Gospel today is telling me that Jesus is always right there with us and never leaves our side. If we ever struggle with something or ever need help we should talk to Jesus and ask for his help or ask him to help us do good on something. Jesus loves us and we should love him to.
God see every littel thing we do and he has eyes on every singel person in this world and sees the good and bad in us and we should start thinking that God can sees us anythime we do anything
The part that stands out to me today is that she believes that Jesus can help her daughter, even though she was not Jewish and she probably grew up learning about other gods. When Jesus tells her that other people deserve His miracles first, she doesn’t give up, because she loves her daughter. When she persists Jesus realizes that she has faith and he cures her daughter of the demon possessing her.
In today’s Gospel there is a woman who has a daughter with an unclean spirit. When so goes to Jesus she knows she is not worthy, but askes anyway. We are like the woman and Jesus wants to help us. We should also help pthers and ourselves. We should also put others before ourselves.
In the scripture today a women who knows she isn’t worthy, goes to Jesus Christ and asks if he can heal her daughter. Jesus heals her daughter. We as humans are all sinners and not the best of ordinary humans are capable of seeing Jesus. But if we pour our love into Gods body, we will be cleansed and seated with him in heaven.
The Scripture today is telling me that we are unworthy of God, but if we persist in our faith, God will accept us. If we do nothing about our lives and just “Go with the flow”, we are ignoring God, and therefore unworthy of Him. Honestly, worshiping God isn’t really the first thing that comes to our minds when we think about what we need to do in this life. But it needs to be. God is calling us to be worthy, not unworthy or even just in the middle. We are called to be Amazingly Catholic.
In today’s Gospel Jesus is trying to telling us to not be selfish. He says that through the woman and her daughter. At first Jesus makes her seem as she cares for herself and dogs until she steps up and speaks for herself and her daughter.
What I got from this is that even though some people aren’t christian God will still have faith in them.
I think this gospel is telling me that no matter how bad the situation is and how bad our sins are God will always forgive us. Every day we fight temptation and sin but He will be there to guide and help us through it. We are like the woman, we go to Jesus for help and
He helps.
In the scripture today, the women who approaches Jesus is requesting for her daughter to be healed. She knows she is unworthy and a sinner, but Jesus loves all humans no matter what. She is terrified that she is so bad Jesus won’t want to heal her. She cares very much about her daughter and Jesus notices that and so he heals her.
What I am getting from this gospel, is that if you just trust God and you pray to Him, sinner or not, He can definely answer you and help you because of His love. He wants you to be the best person ever. He wants you to spread His word and help others after you are helped.
Todays gospel is telling me that if I ask God for something He will give it to be. You must be careful though, you wont get anything like your new favorite video game or the new best phone. What He means is that if you ask God for forgiveness He will forgive you. If you ask for the Holy Sporit it will be there for you.
This gospel reminds me that humans are above animals, so we sould treat ourselves like it. We need to act like our bodies are as precious and beautiful as they really are. People are wonderful creations, and it’s sad when someone doesn’t think they are worth living because they are.
God loves every person on earth. Even the people who don’t believe in Him. That might make them further away from God but God still loves them. But all we have to do to get back to God is to be willing to love Him and admit that we have been wrong and show that we love Him.
We are very fortunate. We go to a Catholic school, our families our Catholic. We are the children in this parable. We know Jesus, and we know who he is, and we might have a better chance of Heaven because of this. But Jesus reminds us that we aren’t any better than the people who don’t. We are all equal in God’s eyes.
In this gospel, I am being told that Jesus is really looking for our beleif, and was testing this woman’s spirituality. The woman was a Greek, not jewish, but he gave her the same healing, and treatment as any jews he had healed. Jesus is saying that we are all his children, no mater what nationality, race, or culture.
The woman was asking Jesus to heal her daughter, and he did. Jesus said if we only ask, we shall recieve.
What I got from today’s scripture is that Jesus always has a plan for us. We need to trust him and even though things might get hard, he’ll always be there to help us through it all.
