“I DO NOT ACCEPT HUMAN TESTIMONY,BUT I SAY THIS SO THAT YOU MAY BE SAVED.” JN 5:31-47
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
Jesus said to the Jews:
“If I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is not true.
But there is another who testifies on my behalf,
and I know that the testimony he gives on my behalf is true.
You sent emissaries to John, and he testified to the truth.
I do not accept human testimony,
but I say this so that you may be saved.
He was a burning and shining lamp,
and for a while you were content to rejoice in his light.
But I have testimony greater than John’s.
The works that the Father gave me to accomplish,
these works that I perform testify on my behalf
that the Father has sent me.
Moreover, the Father who sent me has testified on my behalf.
But you have never heard his voice nor seen his form,
and you do not have his word remaining in you,
because you do not believe in the one whom he has sent.
You search the Scriptures,
because you think you have eternal life through them;
even they testify on my behalf.
But you do not want to come to me to have life.
“I do not accept human praise;
moreover, I know that you do not have the love of God in you.
I came in the name of my Father,
but you do not accept me;
yet if another comes in his own name,
you will accept him.
How can you believe, when you accept praise from one another
and do not seek the praise that comes from the only God?
Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father:
the one who will accuse you is Moses,
in whom you have placed your hope.
For if you had believed Moses,
you would have believed me,
because he wrote about me.
But if you do not believe his writings,
how will you believe my words?” JN 5:31-47
Today, Jesus reminds us He is God and that He came from the Father.
“The works that the Father gave me to accomplish,
these works that I perform testify on my behalf that the Father has sent me.”
He is one with God and the Torah is being fulfilled by Him as He speaks.
“For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me” and “You search the Scriptures, because you think you have eternal life through them; even they testify on my behalf.”
The Word made Flesh dwelt among us and He brought us a message of salvation, “I do not accept human testimony, but I say this so that you may be saved.”
Does Jesus need to be more detailed and explicit in who He is and what His mission is about? Will there ever be enough Words from God to convince us that Jesus is the Savior of the world and God is the one true God? No. We have to believe it is the Truth in our heart and totally and completely dedicate ourselves to Him with faith based on these Words He revealed. We will fall short putting forth half-hearted effort, continuing to fall, and a wavering faith. This is the beauty of the Gospel, God knows these weaknesses and still chooses to love with a Father’s love.
Jesus resurrected and all He said is Truth or He did not resurrect and He is a radical liar claiming to be one with God. Jesus forces us to make a decision and then live our lives being transformed by Him. Otherwise, we have no identity, no mission and purpose. We have no hope for a better future or of a place where there is a loving Father. There is no love without God.
Today’s challenge: Believe that Jesus is one with the only God and He came to save us. Dedicate yourself to Him by praying to Him without ceasing, invite Him into every part of your life, receive Him daily if possible in the Eucharist, visit Him in the Adoration chapel and keep Him company, ask Him to help you understand Him better and love Him more, sit at His feet every day and learn from Him to prepare for His arrival during on Easter.
Be servant, become a saint!
#Christian YOLO
God is the savere and he diefore us and sinn his on son to die ffor us to save us
Jesus tells us again and again that he is the messiah. He has come to save the world. We should be good Christians and follow Him.
I think Jesus today was trying to get the people who disliked him to believe that he was the Messiah. He was telling them about false gods that they worshiped and I think we can learn that Jesus is our true Messiah and not our phones or other things we seem to worship.
´I came in the name of my Father, but you do not accept me´. The main message I took from this is that we have to keep fighting. At some point in our life our Faith will be questioned. We have to keep fighting and never forget that God will help us. We have to learn to take a stand in what we beileve in. Don´t ever let anyone tell you that our God is not good or enough. He will eventually defeat them. He is almighty and powerful. During this Lent, let us practice standing up for the God we truly beilve in.
In this Gospel, Jesus tells the jews that he is the one who God sent to this earth. He tells us that if we believe in Moses and the things he did then we should believe in Jesus because Moses wrote about Jesus. He also tells us that if we want eternal life, we should search for Jesus rather than only searching for scripture.
I think today’s scripture is trying to tell us to not doubt God. We may have our suspicions but it is how we act upon those suspicions. If we doubt Him then our relationship with Him is not strong enough. We should pray more and learn more about Him so that we can have a better understanding of Him and the Church. The next time we doubt we have to remember that He is the Way and will always be the truth.
God is the Lord above all. There is no one above him and no one equal to Him. When we sin, we disrespect Him and throw all the gifts He has ever given us away. We say through our actions that we don’t care that He, the Lord God almighty, died for our sins. Luckily for us, God is all loving and will always forgive us. When we show love to others, we show love and respect to God because God is in each and every one of us. He loves you no matter what, so in return, why don’t we show Him that we love Him as well by doing a simple act of kindness for someone else.
Jesus is telling us that we need to follow him and listen to him. For what was written by Moses was predicted by him to send me and he knew that a baby would come as fully human and divine so if we do not follow Moses and listen to what he would have to say then why would you have to listen to God. God wants us to reach out to him and pray and go to mass.
Jesus once again reminds us that He came from the Father. And yet it’s still the same reply that we always have, we deny Him again. I’m still shocked that people are still denying Him in this generation. We have the facts and the truth that He is true. Believe in Him, and you will feel so much more relieved that you have someone by your side.
I believe in this scripture Jesus is telling the pharisees that he is the son of God reincarnated as human and they do not believe him and think this is the what started his problem with them is that he was saying that he was the reincarnation but they did not believe him.
Saying that you are God is a very big thing to do. Jesus, being God, knew that people didn’t have a problem when someone said that they came under their own name, but had a problem when He did. They follow Moses, but Moses wrote about Jesus, and they didn’t believe Jesus, so they will be judged for that.
In todays reading Jesus is reminding us that he is one with the father, he is the one to fulfill us and he has come to earth to do Gods will. Throughout the reading we can understand that people seem to not understand or believe what he is saying because he almost seems aggravated because of having to explain this again.
Jesus tells us He is doing his Fathers will. He says, “The Father has sent me.” He tells us that His words are the Father’s words. He is obedient to His Father. He came to Earth to do the will of God because He is the Son of God.
As Catholics we believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are one God in three divine persons. Growing up we all knew that but we never fully comprehended what that meant. There is one Divine Power working through us to complete his will. Jesus is the Son. He came to earth as a sinner to save us from all hardships. A lot of people rejected his teaching and said that he was claiming to be something he’s not, so they killed him. This was a part of God’s plan. Because of the Trinity’s heavenly love we can be saved. We need to appreciate and acknowledge that to be truly thankful.
“I do not accept human praise moreover, I know that you do not have the love of God in you.” This phrase means to me that I need to not have false gods like our phones sport etc. After you have found the problem you need to work on it and pray to God that he will help you with what you are struggling with.
Today we learn God sent Jesus down to earth to teach us how to follow Christ and for him to heal and protect us just for him to die.
Jesus is just as high as God because they are one person. If we don’t believe that the Son of Man came down to earth was scurged and was hung on a cross to die and that his body and blood are what we are truely recieving at communion, that the same as saying we don’t believe God is real. Because Jesus is God, God is Jesus, They are the same person along with the holy spirit.
“For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me” and “You search the Scriptures, because you think you have eternal life through them; even they testify on my behalf.”
“I do not accept human praise;
moreover, I know that you do not have the love of God in you.
I came in the name of my Father,
but you do not accept me;
yet if another comes in his own name,
you will accept him.
This scripture is telling us that Jesus is one with the father and we need to pray and invite him in
We were put on this earth by the father and our mission is to spread the word of God follow his will get yourself and help the others around you to get to heaven everything we do is from the help of Jesus and we wouldn’t be here right now if He forgot about us for a second. God does not need us we need him.
Jesus shares his journey with us. He tells us about it in scripture, the gospel, and the bible. He sent disciples to help spread his word so that way everybody could here it.
Jesus is ready for us this Easter we need to prepare and be ready for him also and really prepare ourselves for his coming mindset and faith
Jesus tells us today that in order to understand that Jesus is truly the Son of God, you have to look to Moses and the prophets. If you don’t listen to them you will not accept Jesus as the Son of God. He also tells us that even if he did do great things they would not be truly converted.
Jesus is telling us that He was sent by God and He is the true Son of God. He says that He was once a shining bright lamp because people had faith in Him. But now His light is fading and people have stopped believing in Him. As Catholics we cannot let that happen. We cannot let Jesus’ light fade. Because He sent us down from Heaven to praise Him. We exist for the sole purpose of praising God. So we must always praise Him. Let Him in, He is knocking.
“I came in the name of my Father, but you do not accept me; yet if another comes in his own name, you will accept him. How can you believe, when you accept praise from one another and do not seek the praise that comes from the only God?” do we believe that he came for us? are we like the pharisees, or do we believe that He is God? If he is the father then let us listen to him so that we may be saved.
He can never try to convince us enough for everyone in the entire world to believe that he is the only one true God. We cant change that and we will have to run into people like that but like anything else we cant think that they aren’t a son or daughter of God because everyone He loves before the universe even existed so we know that there is a reason that they are like this, we must raise good Catholic children to keep this religion alive, or if you never have kids you can do something else like becoming a public speaker and converting people, God put us on this Earth for a reason and we need to figure that out as soon as possible so that we can fulfill that thing that He put us on this Earth for.
God truly sent down Jesus for us. He made Jesus sinless because we all Know God and sin don’t mix. I think it is just a normal thing for humans to want to rationalize our sins away because if we are too easy on ourselves it would be worse than being to hard on ourselves. All of the chaos of sin comes to an end whenever you come to Jesus. I’ve realized that our church is quite and peaceful whenever we are not singing praise. God made so many different ways to worship him and I think he would want to utilize every way we could. God made us different for a reason. If one person isn’t very athletic but has a beautiful voice that person can appreciate people who play sports because it is something different and uniqe.
I came in the name of my Father, but you do not accept me; yet if another comes in his own name, you will accept him. Jesus is human too. God sent him to save us from sin. He cures illnesses heals the wounded forgives sins and still the Jews don’t believe he is God? Jesus was persicuted and despised by the jews but never denied that he was God. And he kept healing and cured and forgived.
I think that in the scripture it’s saying that we have never heard God’s voice. And how his apostles would spread the word.
I came in the name of my Father,
but you do not accept me;
yet if another comes in his own name,
you will accept him.
This stuck out to me throughout reading this passage. This reminds me of US, people. Whether we are Catholic or not we all fall away from God so easily which is showing: I came in the name of my Father,
but you do not accept me. And while were falling away from Him we are following other distractions which lead us away showing: yet if another comes in his own name,
you will accept him.
i think that this means that we do talk to God or believe him we just sit there and believe everyone eals so he know and he is trying over and over until we do we do understand him and let him testate for us. not someone eals.
“For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me” .Many people say that Jesus isn’t real because HE never wrote about his life himself.but other people did, millions of people actually.and people still deny this fact.
If I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is not true.
But there is another who testifies on my behalf,
and I know that the testimony he gives on my behalf is true
this struck me because i never thought of Jesus as weak
sometimes we are blind to the things that are in front of us. the Jews were looking for scripture when the son of God was in front of them. we need to open our eyes to the lord and search for him and be able to see him when he is in front of us.
I think Jesus today was trying to get the people who disliked him to believe that he was the Messiah. He was telling them about false gods that they worshiped and I think we can learn that Jesus is our true Messiah and not our phones or other things we seem to worship.
If you keep testifinding everyone will not understand the truth
“Believe in The Lord and he will take you under his wing.” is what I think the passage is about which is if you don’t believe in Jesus in time being he will see you less and less and drift apart but the more you invite him in, in your heart the more you’ll feel closer to God and yourself.
Sometimes we are blind of the things and front of us and take it for granite. You really have to look for all the beatiful things God has gifted to you. Theyre little things we miss but they are so important we get to caught up looking for the big things we dont see anything else and we cant take God for granite.
What God is saying is that God is the only one we should listen to for guidance and we should always go to Him when we’re in trouble or agony, we always should go to God for anything that we need guidance to.
what stuck out to me was that Jesus resurrected and all He said is Truth or He did not resurrect and He is a radical liar claiming to be one with God. Jesus forces us to make a decision and then live our lives being transformed by Him. Otherwise, we have no identity, no mission and purpose. We have no hope for a better future or of a place where there is a loving Father. There is no love without God. This stuck out to me because i will know that God will always love me and forgive me without God i am nothing and i will not be able to love.
We should do God’s will and complete the work he wants us to do in earthly life just as Jesus did. God sent Jesus onto earth so he could save all of us from sin, and Jesus obeyed, even though it was a long and painful journey, he obeyed his father’s word.
i think that this was about how god gives us choices and how we have freee will to believe and do whatever we want. however there will always be consequences. we neeed to go out and preach the word of god and do whatever god calls us to do. sometimes we cant see what god is trying to say an dthats perfectly fine because god has a pla for everyone. god sent his only son for US. god loves you!
We have to believe that Jesus is the Truth in our heart and that he died and has been resurrected so we have completely dedicate ourselves to Him Believe that Jesus is one with the only God and He came to save us. Dedicate yourself to Him by praying to Him.
I think the scripture is telling us that Jesus came from the Father and has a mission. A mission to save us. Jesus wants all of us to listen and follow his Fathers will so we can be saved by his mission. His mission is to save all of the human race, even the person you hate he loves. If Jesus loves them so can you.
Today I feel like Jesus is talking to us about believing is seeing not seeing in believing because he was talking about the Father and how they don’t believe in Him because they haven’t heard Him. Today let’s ask Jesus to help us believe in Him.
If we do not believe or trust in God and doubt what He had told us, we will not have eternal life with him. We should believe what He tells us and not what other people have to say.
In this Gospel, Jesus is telling us that we need to do better at worshiping Him. We worship things like our phones, the TV, etc. He tells us time and time again that he is the Messiah, and we still don’t listen. We need to do better at not worshiping things like our phones and worship God and do His will.
“For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed me,because he wrote about me. ” Jesus is asking why we belived in Moses but don’t believe that Jesus is the True God
Jesus is one with God. There will never be enough evidence to prove that Jesus is the Savior and that God is the one true God. If there was enough proof, everyone would know and it wouldn’t be faith. Faith requires you to believe. If there is proof you aren’t believing, it is just a reality. There is no love without God.
In this Gospel, Jesus tells us that he is the one who God sent, and He tells us that If we believe in Moses then we should believe in Him because he wrote about Jesus, and that we should search for Jesus rather than searching only for the scripture.
We have to listen to what God says in the scriptures because they tell us about all the things that he did for us and it will help guide us to him. He speaks good about us because he loves us and he wants us to love and speak kindly about everyone so he leads by example because that’s what Jesus is. An example.
Jesus asks them how do you believe in Moses but not in me for Moses testified about me. Which I think means that you can’t believe the word that is taught to us by priests in their homilies without believing in the words that they read from in the gospel.
Everything we have comes from God. Our family, our friends, and all the things we own. This world also came from God, and the endless galaxies and the universe. This is why we can´t live without God; He created us. When we read the Bible, we read God´s words. But we can´t live with only the Bible. If we read the Bible or pray but don´t go to Church, then are we really practicing and living our faith?
This scripture is telling us we need to do good things on earth to make it to heaven. Living a good holy life will helps us get to heaven.
The truth is the truth, even if no one believes it, and a lie is a lie, even if everyone believes it.
I think what this scripture is trying to say is that we need to truly and fully believe in God because he is the one and only God. There are no other gods and no one else like Him. We shouldn’t doubt our faith. We need to trust that God is truly here with us and not deny Him.
Jesus was telling the people that the truth has been revealed to them that he is the messiah and our savior but they chose not to believe him. He talks about how God has testified on his behalf and so has john the baptist and other prophets but Jesus didn’t seem like the savior they were waiting for.
what the scripture is telling me is that if we don not believe in God and worship earthly things we will not recieve eternal life in heaven with him. if we try to ask for forgiveness through someone who is not God we shouldn’t come to Him to testify all tha we have done in His name.
Some people believe in others but they don’t believe in God. You need to go to God not just think that you already have, and you just pray to him. Get to know him and his works that he has done.
I think this scripture is about how closed minded people can be when it comes to belief. Jesus said that if the people believed in moses and john, then why should they not believe him. Moses and john both spoke of the son of God coming, but when he did come they did not believe him.
Jesus is reminding us that He was sent by God and is God. We get carried away and forget that Jesus is the almighty one. We need to remember that He is God, and go to Him when we need Him.
God is testifying for Jesus. Jesus says that what he says about himself probably isn’t true but if God is testifying then you should listen. God created you and so you should listen to him like a daughter or son would listen to their father.
Jesus is God and we need to understand that. We distract ourselves with objects that take us away from God. All we want to do is go to these objects and we want to have them. Why can’t we have that same desire for God? You don’t have to pray for hours, it could be a simple thank you to God and it matters if you believe.
In this scripture Jesus is trying to get people who do not believe to believe that he is the messiah. God sent his only son to love and care for the people. We should believe in God and he will help us get to where we need to go which is Heaven. God is here to help us and guide us on the right path. So we must have faith and believe that he is here with us.
“I do not accept human testimony, but I say this so that you may be saved.” This stood out to me because God helps us with everything and He saved us from sin. He died on the cross for us. We always think that God doesn’t help us but that is a lie. God will always help us. We need to help Him and one another as well. We are all created by God and we all have feelings so we need to help one another and be kind as well.
“Moreover, the Father who sent me has testified on my behalf. But you have never heard his voice nor seen his form, and you do not have his word remaining in you, because you do not believe in the one whom he has sent. You search the Scriptures, because you think you have eternal life through them;even they testify on my behalf.
But you do not want to come to me to have life.” We have never seen God before but we still believe he is real. This scripture is telling me we don’t have to see it to believe it. God is the only God and no other besides Him. He is our creator and He is with us.
In todays gospel God shows and tells us that he is the one true father and we should listen to him. If we follow his path we get a path in return, straight to heaven. He always tells us to please listen but sometimes people say they have better things to do and they completely forget about Jesus.
For if you had believed Moses,
you would have believed me,
because he wrote about me.
But if you do not believe his writings,
how will you believe my words?
This scripture is telling us that the scriptures are God’s words for us. Although we can’t see Him we know that he is there because of the scriptures. So to know God we must know the bible.
We have to follow what God is telling us if we don’t do what he is telling us then how will we get to heaven. This scripture also talks about believing. We have to believe and and trust God.
As Catholics we believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are one God in three divine persons. Growing up we all knew that but we never fully comprehended what that meant. There is one Divine Power working through us to complete his will.
“The Father who sent me has testified on my behalf.” God testified on all of our behalf. He loves us even when we don’t love him back. We need to learn to love him even though it’s hard. If He testifies on our behalf when we don’t love him back, how much more will he testify if we do.
I think this is showing us and reminding us where God came from and why he did what he did. He had a calling from the Father and he followed through with it instead of giving up or only doing part of it. He had full trust in the Father and knew he would have eternal life in Heaven.
“because you think you have eternal life through them; even they testify on my behalf. But you do not want to come to me to have life.” Us as Catholics are supposed to believe in Jesus right? Yes, most of us do, but we don’t want to pray TO Him. Jesus isn’t just here so people can believe in Him. He is here because we need Him. We need to pray to Him, sacrifice for Him, and give Him our souls.
“For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me. But if you do not believe his writings,
how will you believe my words?” Jesus not only reveals himself in this; he reveals the work that was put in to prepare Jesus to come down to earth. In this quote Jesus talks about how Moses preached about him. Jesus gives them something to compare to; the writings Moses wrote and Jesus now. He reveals how he is connected to what Moses wrote and that he is the son of God.
Jesus says that having your own testimony is not enough; you need someone else’s as well, or else you won’t be believed. Though Jesus has God’s testimony, people believe it, because they do not believe that Jesus is God’s son. In order to say that you believe in Jesus, you first have to believe others that have confirmed Him (prophets, God, and scriptures).
This Scripture is talking about how Jesus tell us that the father praises him and that and how it is better to revive Gods grace than just an ordinary person that praises you won´t be the same because it´s God giving you this grace. He also talks about how many testimony he has for example he said that his testimony was something bigger than john and he also said that he was sent from the father´s behalf which he is just telling us that he is the son of man and that what the humans say he will not believe in what they testify in.
“I came in the name of my Father, but you do not accept me; yet if another comes in his own name, you will accept him.” I like this quote, but it’s really hard to understand to me. Jesus is absolutely right about this statement. The people are angry with Him, they think He’s a liar because He speaks the truth from someone else, but if we speak the lies of ourselves, we will be loved, and that’s not right.
The way Jesus was being testified for cleaning someone from his sins and curing him of his illnesses. Why is that, He is doing nothing wrong He cured someone and people are against Him because He is “denying the chief priests.” He’s doing nothing wrong and people hate on Him, I think that that is very similar to our life now, someone makes one mistake and people are all over them for doing that one mistake.
“How can you believe, when you accept praise from one another and do not seek the praise that comes from the only God? Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father: the one who will accuse you is Moses, in whom you have placed your hope. For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?” JN 5:31-47” I feel like this scripture is saying that we need to be ready. We need to wake up and start listening to the voice of God because He does great things. If we wake up and devote ourselves to God He will give us eternal peace forever and ever.
I think the scripture is saying that Jesus is currently reminding us again to trust, listen and follow him. He revealed to us that he was God and yet no one listened to him. We all listened to Moses when he helped created the Ten Commandments, he even wrote about who Jesus is and who he will be with us here on Earth; yet we didn’t believe Jesus when he revealed himself as the Son of God and even explained how Moses had written about him still no one believed him. So we must all reflect on ourselves and realize how Jesus is speaking and calling us all individually.
This phrase in the Scripture held out to me ‘”For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”’ I think that this is saying that we can’t just be superficial about our belief in God. We have to go deeper, just like how Jesus said to go further back, that they needed to believe Moses to believe Him. It’s kind of like how we need to believe more than the standard things. I think it’s really cool, and he kind of called them out with His words.
I think the Scripture is saying Jesus is the true messiah. He came to this Earth to save us. He came to save us from sin. Sin devours and overcomes the best of us. When Jesus died on the cross He took the weight of everyone’s sins. Jesus is the true messiah and He saved us.
I think today the Scripture is telling us that Jesus came down to save us. The things that He did for us are amazing and we all are so grateful to be here. Also it was talking about how no one is greater than Jesus and sometimes we can maybe forget that and do other hobbies that take it off our mind.
It is saying that we can’t believe in other gods, there is only one God and He teaches to trust in Him and be able to go to Him when we need help and be able to confess our sins no matter how bad they are. He will still be with us.
Jesus today tells us just how He desires for us to be saved. His message is a message of hope and not of condemnation. He will never abandon us on this road to Heaven. He will always be there for us. He is our strength. He is there for all of us in times of trial and of strife. No matter what, turn to God and He will be your source of compassion and peace.
As humans we seek life in electronics, sports, food, and sleep. I am here to tell you that true life does not come from those things. They only way to get true life is by going to Jesus. I these things on earth will give you satisfaction of earthly things. Would you rather have satisfaction on earth or eternity in heaven? Jesus=life. Life-Jesus=death. You have to have Jesus to have life.
We all have had a time when we try to get someone to believe something about us or something we accomplished. We most likely have all had a person who doesn’t believe what we said or what we didn’t do. But there is also a person who will believe you no matter what circumstances because they trust you and truly believe that you are honest. This is how we should reflect on the scripture today. Jesus flat out told people that he is God but no one believed him. He told them over and over and they still didn’t believe him. When you tell someone something over and over and they still don’t believe it, we become frustrated and angry that they don’t understand. As I said earlier, there is one person that understands and believes you when you’re honest, and that person is God. God truly believes that we can trust what He says at all times, and when we don’t it disappoints Him. But he is not “mad” at you like possibly your siblings when you do something wrong but instead he tries to help you along the way. We should believe in Jesus just as much as we believe in friendships, right over wrong, and more. Jesus did not die and go through pain for us to just blow him off and ignore him but to realize that he is the way, the truth, and the light that we need to follow in the darkness of sin.
God is our savior and we have been told that through out the New and Old Testament and all we have to do is listen.
I think its saying we need to be humble and that we aren’t always right. We Need to listen to God because he is always right.
I think God is trying to tell us that he never goes away he is always there for us and never abandons us he is here for every journey but we have to believe in him for him to help us
Jesus shares his journey with us and the world. He tells us about it in scripture, the gospel, and the bible. He sent disciples to help spread his word so that way everybody could hear it and know that he is here to save them from sin.
Totally and completely dedicate ourselves to God with faith based on these Words He revealed. We will fall short putting forth half-hearted effort, continuing to fall, and a wavering faith. This is the beauty of the Gospel, God knows these weaknesses and still chooses to love with a Father’s love.
“has testified on my behalf” Jesus has died for us so we can have eternal life (kinda like this part is saying), so we should try our hardest to be like christ and get to hevaen, why he died for us.
‘A lie is a lie even if everyone believes it and the truth is the truth even if no one believes it.’ Jesus came to the world and showed us miracles, brought people back from the dead and still we crucified Him. It is an unfair love that Jesus has because I know it would be incredibly hard probably even impossible to forgive someone who put me to death. Love Jesus even if you are judged and mocked for it.
“I do not testify on My behalf,…” If we say that we are telling the truth, but do not have any proof, how can people believe you? Faith. When people ask you questions, you answer, do they rebut you? Sometimes, yes, but most times, no. Because they came to you believing that you knew the answer. We go to God knowing that He knows everything, so He can answer our questions. But sometimes He does not respond, or we do not feel His presence. We need to have faith that He is there, and listening.
What it is saying in the bible is that Jesus is the one God and that we need to dedicate our lives to him so we could become holy like him.An make it to heaven so we could praise him forever.
“I do not accept human testimony, but I say this so that you may be saved.” sometimes we try to make up something other than God to make ourselves not seem “Childish”, but when we do that we are only shielding ourselves from God’s healing light, his loving care. we are being constantly loved and cared for by God, but some refuse to believe that there is a true God. they want to try to stop themselves from being humiliated.
we should not live for the world but for God. Jesus died for us and God sent his only son so we need to live for God. No matter what our choice is he will love us unconditionally. He will always love us and he would do anything for us. we shouldn’t care what we look like whether we are bad or good at sports or school God made us and we are his creations. we should always love ourselves and our neighbors.
Today scripture said to me, we have no reason not to believe in Jesus. He performed the impossible that is all the proof we should need. He is one in God and we need to accept he will love us and always want the best for us. even if we don’t believe the miracles we should have faith in God and put our trust in him. We should open up our hearts an let his love from Jesus flow through us so we can love one another.
This part of the scripture just really stuck out to me.
“I came in the name of my Father,
but you do not accept me;
yet if another comes in his own name,
you will accept him”
We believe in God but we can get so caught up in other things that we get distracted by what’s truly important.
“For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?” Jesus created all of us differently. He made us to teach others about his glory. God speaks to each of us differently, and calls us to follow our own path. Our duties as we get older are to love one another and to teach the people around us that know less than us.
I think that in the Gospel Jesus is telling us that we worship other things like TV, our phones, video games, etc instead of worshiping Him. He keeps constantly sharing Himself with us but we keep turning Him away. Jesus is trying to tell us that we need to get to know God and “testify” for Him. What that means is we need to tell others about Jesus. We need to love Him even more than we love our TV’s, phones, and video games.
This part of the scripture just really stuck out to me.
“I came in the name of my Father,
but you do not accept me;
yet if another comes in his own name,
you will accept him”
We believe in God but we can get so caught up in other things that we get distracted by what’s truly important.

We have to believe that it is the truth in our heart. This stuck out to me because it shows that if we only love God with just our brain and not ourselves we’re not believing that with our heart so it doesn’t make the truth as powerful since we just believe it with our brain only. So always believe in the truth with all your heart not just half of your heart all of your heart.
We have to believe it is the Truth in our heart and totally and completely dedicate ourselves to Him with faith based on these Words He revealed. How do we believe in something but not go to mass and still say we are Catholic. It is like when the people chose Barabbas over Jesus they chose a murderer a killer over a kind man a caring and helpful man and they took the chain off Barabbas and freed him in front of Jesus and that is when God forgives us and frees our soul.
Jesus has told people that he is the son of God and he died for our sins on the cross. Lots of people didn’t believe in him.
“There is no love without God.” God is the source of all love. His love for us is eternal and we cannot match it, no matter what. His love is unconditional, and no matter what we do He still loves us.
We need to accept Jesus and that He came from God, not any fake gods that came from fake believers.
We must fully immerse ourselves in loving Jesus. We must invite Him into our life. Jesus isn’t forcing us to have a relationship with Him. Jesus is offering to help us get to heaven. We have to decide whether we take up that offer or not. If we do take up that offer, we must learn to take it seriously. Jesus should be the center of our lives constantly. To begin growing a relationship with Him, we have to ask ourselves an important question. Do we believe that Jesus is the son of God?
