“RATHER, BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HEAR THE WORD OF GOD AND OBSERVE IT.” LK 11:27-28

Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

While Jesus was speaking,
a woman from the crowd called out and said to him,
“Blessed is the womb that carried you
and the breasts at which you nursed.”
He replied, “Rather, blessed are those
who hear the word of God and observe it.” Lk 11:27-28

Where do we gain the knowledge we need to know God?  “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”  Our Bible that needs to be dusted off needs to be opened up and read and reflected upon in prayer.  Of course, today you can just download a Catholic bible app.

Our calling is to be clothed in Christ, but are we living clothed in Christ? Our two baptismal vows are to fight Satan and believe in our Creed which is the Gospel on one page. This in turn helps us to grow in holiness. When we come to know who Christ is, we come to know ourselves and our mission.

Our whole purpose in life is to worship God, recognize how much He loves us, and then put love into each act for others. The problem is I wake each day and forget who I am. I wake each day with an inclination to sin. I wake each day forgetting that Satan is putting a veil over my mind so I cannot see clearly (Truth-Jesus Christ). Therefore, it is necessary to bring ourselves to the only One who can help me change the way I think, see clearly, save me with His grace, and give me strength to fight Satan. Jesus!

Today’s challenge:  Read a section of the Gospel each day or out of the YouCat (YouthCatechism).  Don’t have one! Christmas is right around the corner, it makes sense to ask for a Christian item for Christmas.

Be a servant, become a saint!
