Prayer Prompt before reading JN 3:31-36: Come, Holy Spirit, teach me how to pray, interpret the Scriptures for me so that I may know the Truth about who God the Father is and God the Son so that I may know who I am.

“WHOEVER BELIEVES IN THE SON HAS ETERNAL LIFE” JN 3:31-36

Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.

Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus in the middle of the night telling him who He is. Nicodemus is a high ranking Jew and one who actually believes Jesus could be the Messiah the Jews have been waiting for. Jesus continues to teach us that He is God and the Father has given Him everything. He also says very strong words about the afterlife. We have to believe in the Son to enter eternal life. Afterlife is a radical belief. It is not something easy to believe in since all we know is our earthly life, our physical world. Jesus asks us to trust in Him and be not afraid. He is here to teach us about our heavenly home.

It might be important to read a book on near death experiences (NDE) or near death experiences of the blind. These are cases when people are dead/unconscious for a few minutes, see a light, dead relatives, or themselves and the doctors/nurses working on them. It is proof consciousness exists outside the body or after life. Most importantly, Jesus proves this to us with the resurrection of His body. The gospels are not a myth or an entertaining fantasy novel. Jesus rose from the dead. This changes everything and should change the way we live each day for this life in preparation for the next. It means this world is not all there is. It changes the way we live our life to prepare for the eternal world with God in all of his glory, no pain, suffering, sin, death, and brokenness.

“The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to Him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” Jn 3:31-36

We have a Father in heaven who radically loves us and His one greatest desire is for His children to be back with Him. Choose wisely, belief begins in your heart and Christ reveals that we must believe in Him to enter eternal salvation. Christianity is the only religion that matures. It has a past, present, and future. Learn more about Jesus, pray, and share this Good News with others. He is alive, be present to Him, and spend time with Him!

Be a servant, become a saint!

“‘The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to Him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.’ John 3:31-36” This stood out to me because it really just gives it to you straight, if you obey God you make it to Heaven if you disobey God you may not see Heaven.

The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,
but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God remains upon him.
This part stuck out to me the most because it can help people understand that even when we sin, even when we are bad, God will be there for us. God never leaves us, he is always with us, but even though he is with us always we should still try our best to do what is good.

In today’s Gospel it talks about how no one accepts “the one who comes from above” and His testimonies. That’s us, we are never accepting Jesus’ testimonies in real life. We hear them, only half of us believe them most of the time and then there’s that little bit that does believe. “Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy,” it talks about how that if we do believe and do what he has said, it proves that God is worthy of our trust even though we shouldn’t have to prove it to him.

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.”
This stuck out to me because if we believe and stay true to what we believe, we will have eternal life with Jesus. But even if we start to turn away from God, He still wants us to live in Heaven with Him. We need to try to stay close with Jesus and not turn away. But, Jesus will always love us no matter what comes our way!

“The one who comes from above is above all.” This is how we should be treating God, like He is the greatest being and deserving of all glory and honor. Sometimes, we can think that God doesn’t know anything about us or what is best for us, but it is actually always the opposite because without God, we will never know what we are doing or how we will get to where we are meant to go.

The reflection for today about the gospel is that Jesus is saying that what is above is from God and what from earth is earthly. Jesus also implies that whomever accepts His testimonies will be certified in God, but whomever does not will have the wrath of God remaining upon himself.

Jesus is all knowing. He knows our sins, our burdens, our sorrows. When you look at someone can you see what they are going through? No, because you can not see their soul. Even though they look happy maybe they aren’t, maybe someone they loved just passed or they are going through mental health problems. You will never know only God will. That is why today’s gospel says he is above all. He is there for you when it seems like no one else is.

Today’s gospel shows that Jesus is greater than any human because He comes directly from heaven, while everyone else is limited to earthly knowledge. He tells people what God is like, but most people choose not to believe him. When you trust Jesus, you are actually trusting that God is true and trustworthy. Following Jesus leads to eternal life, while rejecting him means losing out on that life.

“The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things.” If all we care about in life are things of the world, our social status, our wealth then it is harder to get back to the Father. It isn’t bad to have these things but they shouldn’t be the main focus of our lives. The main focus should be the fact that we have a living God who never sleeps but is with us forever.

Jesus is the God he is the one that comes above in Heaven and is above us by being God and being one with his father, the holy spirit, and himself 3 in one. and yet people dont really realize the gravity of the situation that Jesus literally can do anything he wants but instead he chose you and chose us to love and us to love him back and he gave us free will so we can CHOOSE whether to love him and accept him or we can decide to reject him and distance ourselves from him.

Today What I got out of the gospel was that it is hard to be christian and be of Christ. You can be above all (Jesus) and still be prosecuted. Even in our daily lives you could do a prayer in public and weird looks or be thought of as “not fun” just because you want to follow the better path. “Whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” We have to understand that this path is better and we will see the light at the end we just have to stick with it.

He created the universe and us, and loved us so much He sent down his only Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from sin. Sometimes, we often complain to God, thinking “I know how to do this, God.” or “I got it all figured out.” Sometimes we think that God is crazy because He is adamant in wanting us to follow His plan for our salvation. It reminds me of when Jesus said to Judas, “What makes you think your plan is better than my plan?” We need to trust God in all that He does because He is the one from above and above all.

“The one who comes from above is above all. The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things. But the one who comes from heaven is above all.” I thought that this was interesting and slightly contradictory because it says whoever comes from above is above all but then it says the one who comes from heaven is above all. As you can tell, this is slightly confusing unless you actually think about it because it is saying there are two above and one earthly. Which is slightly how God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit were because; while Jesus was never “earthly” per say, He spoke of earthly and Heavenly things combined to let the people understand what He was teaching. Jesus was also the one who came down from Heaven but so did the Holy Spirit when He granted language to the Apostles. God is obviously in Heaven and came down in the form of His Son, Jesus.

The part of this Gospel that stuck out the most to me was when Jesus says, “The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him.” This meant to me that just as The Father loves the Son and has given everything to him he also loves us and will provide us with everything we need.

We need to believe in God at all times. We can’t worship and praise other human beings or other gods. We also need to obey him because how will we be able to get to Heaven if we don’t follow and obey God.

this gospel reading is kind of telling us about the end of the earth. but it is also telling us about the rules of following jesus or how to follow jesus. its telling us if what we do is bad or good and if it will get us into heaven with god. it is also telling us that whoever disobeys will not see eternal life but eternal damnation.

The gospel says “Whoever does accept his testimony certifies that God is trustworthy.” This kind of hit different to me because you can say that God is trustworthy, and still not trust Him. For example, I know that God is the most reliable friend that I will ever have, and yet there are so many things that I feel like I need to do on my own, with no help. This gospel comes with a realization within me, that I have not been doing everything I need to. I need to step it up, not because I am doing good and need to do better, but because I am not doing enough.

This gospel is telling me if you praise Jesus good things will happen but if you disobey him bad things will happen and you might not get to go to Heaven. This is telling me to always praise Jesus no matter what.

“But the one who comes from heaven is above all”. Jesus was walking on earth just like us as if he wasn’t here to die on the cross to save US! Jesus dies for us and went through all that suffering for us. Jesus is so powerful yet he is just like us.

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,
but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God remains upon him.” I think this is saying that if you believe in God you have eternal life but if you don’t believe in him, he will still be with you.

In today’s Gospel, I learned that if we believe in God, we will have eternal life, but if we don’t, we will not have eternal life with God. To actually believe in God, is to actually take time and spend that time with God. We can’t just say we believe in Him, just so we can have eternal life. God knows what we truly think about Him.

In today’s gospel God is saying to me that whoever accepts his testimony Jesus says God is certified trustworthy. Do not ration my gift of the Spirit. God loves his son and hands everything over to him.

In this Gospel I feel like we forget to prioritize the heavenly perspective over earthly concerns like politics, and wisdom etc. We should affirm that Jesus is both our Savior and Lord over all creation.

Today’s gospel is telling us that listening to God and doing God’s will is the most important thing in life. We as the daughters and sons of God need to put him first in life and not other things.

what suck out to me is The one who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of earthly things.
But the one who comes from heaven is above all. this means that we need to not worship other gods but to the one and only God.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.” this line really sticks out to me because it sounds like john 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. which is a really powerful and meaningful verse to many.

There’s an after life that we have yet to enter. It’s something out of this world that might be hard to comprehend. Every near death experience I’ve heard all share a similar story to the point where I doubt it’s just people making things up or hallucinating. Death can be a scary thing and sometimes painful, but there’s a better place after that moment. All your loved ones who have died should be in a better place now, or at least in purgatory.

“This is the work of God, that you believe in the one he sent.” God gave us signs because he knows we are human and we need to see it with our own eyes to believe. So he left for us many signs, the shroud of Turin, the cross, and the Bible.

Nicodemus was spoken to in the middle of the night We have to believe Jesus if we want to live with him in eternal life which is Heaven. Afterlife is something that it takes time for us to believe in especially because we are used to living on earth not in the afterlife. Jesus wants us to trust in him and to not fear him at all so we can live with him forever. If Jesus hadn’t resurrected we wouldn’t live with him in eternal life, that’s why he is here to teach us about it.
    GOD BLESS!!<3

“WHOEVER BELIEVES IN THE SON HAS ETERNAL LIFE” JN 3:31-36, I think this tells us that we have to believe in Jesus for us to believe in the father. Because if what he says is true than the father is going to judge us not on how good we looked or how smart we were, but how we loved others around us. And if we don’t know to love others than we can’t truthfully love God and then we also can’t go to Heaven
