“THE BREAD THAT I WILL GIVE IS MY FLESH FOR THE LIFE OF THE WORLD.” JN 6:51
Humbly submit your will to God (Thy Will be done) and consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through Mary and Joseph.
“I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.” Jn 6:44-51
God is found in communion. God is joy and we are a result of Him overflowing with joy. We are a result of love. Love likes to suffer. Love wills the good of the other and does something about it. God is love and ALWAYS wills our good, so he is full of joy all of the time. Adam and Eve broke this joy by not trusting, so God set out to reconcile Himself with His creation.
He does this through a sacrificial meal. The Old Testament sacrificial meal comes to us at Passover. God instructed Moses and the people to eat bitter herbs (to remind them of their bitter slavery) and unleavened bread (they were in a hurry to get away so they did not have time to let the bread rise), and a roasted lamb (daubed the blood on the doorposts so the angel of death would pass over their homes). God later feeds them with manna in the desert.
The new sacrificial meal or new Passover is Jesus Christ. Isaiah prophesies that “He will be like a sheep led to slaughter.” Today, Jesus teaches us He is the bread of life and we must eat His Flesh to have eternal life. Jesus has made a host for us everyday. Go to Mass as often as possible and be in full communion with God. This is the way God has chosen to give Himself to us from the Last Supper until He returns.
Most importantly, as Bishop Robert Barron puts it, “Jesus just wants to be our friend. He wants to set around the supper table and have a great conversation.” The supper table is the altar, God calls all of us together to it each Sunday, and Jesus feeds our souls for the journey. Thank you, Jesus!
Today’s challenge: Allow Jesus to be your friend! Talk to Him every day about everything. There is nothing more that He wants than to be your best friend. How do you develop a friendship? Spend time with them. Find a place to make a habit of spending time talking to Jesus and learning about Him in the Scriptures. Read one of the 4 Gospels all of the way through. It will only take a few minutes each day of your time and it might be the biggest spiritual experience you will ever have.

“Get up and head south on the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza, the desert route.” This stuck out to me because it showed me that God always has a plan for us and we need to listen to what He has to tell us and do what we are told. This will lead us back to Him.
Today Jesus says he will raise us on the last day, He also says anyone who litsens to his father will come to him because they undersatnd he is the son of God. He says our ancestors who ate the manna in the desert died but now we have the bread from heaven so even when our human bodies dies our souls will be taken up to heaven and we will live on for eternity in happienes with the father.
Today’s scripture tells me that Jesus is truly alive in the bread at mass. Jesus is always with us but especially in mass when he gives us his blood and body. We must show him that we believe in him and that we believe he is truly there for us, all of us. By showing him this we show him our love and are able to be truly forgiven from sin.
I took this as Jesus saying that we would be nothing without God and we have no power without Him. He tells us that He is the one who can save us, and we can only look to Him for redeeming.
Today in scripture we learn that, Jesus is in the Eucharists and wine that is his body and blood that we receive. Jesus was the first person to celebrate mass and show us all that we can still receive him even though he is dead. We need to push ourselves to go to mass every weekend and adore and participate in the mass.
Jesus offered himself to us. We must love him for his sacriface he did for us. Jesus is the way to heaven, we must follow him.
If Jesus created us out of joy and love why did he not give himself to us in the first place? I think that he gave his soul to us partially when he created us and at the end of lent he gave himself to us fully.
love is great and love is what everyone needs if its a little or a lot. God loves us all the same as the next person with unconditional love and joy in his heart. he will continue to love us even if we turn away from him. Jesus want us to follow him in the holy manor that Leads us away from evil and towards holy.
In today’s gospel Jesus says “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever;and the bread that I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.”.
The gift of the Eucharist is one of the greatest gifts we’ve ever been given. The Eucharist is not just something we eat because everyone else gets it at mass. The Eucharist is Jesus’ body and is very special. I think that is what Jesus is telling us today. That He really is present in the Eucharist and that it is his flesh that he has given to us from heaven.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.” This stuck out to me because Jesus is saying that the body that we take at Mass is his actual flesh not just some bread. We should believe that is it His body and not just bread. We need to believe in Him that way we have someone to turn to when we need to pray or just talk. We need to love Him that way we can see His love for us.
God is Love, He died for us on the cross way before we existed, He created us not because he needed us but because he wanted us and loves us. God is the one true God and made each one of us unique and calls us to follow him and love him.
Jesus is telling us that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life in heaven.
Jesus shows us that He has come to save us. What do we do when something good happens? Do we celebrate and thank whoever caused it? Whenever a good thing happens, it is a cause of God. Thank Him for giving us joy and happiness. If someone does something for us and we don’t thank them, why would they want to help us again? The thing with God is that no matter what, He will always love you and will your good. It is our job to recognize our gifts and be grateful for them, because God didn’t have to make us happy, but He did, because He loves us. We have to be able to make sacrifices. What is right is not always what we want. The hard part about being Christian is being able to give yourself up. You will not get to do whatever you want without a consequence. And I think that is why people don’t want to go to church. It is because they feel guilty.
Jesus is the Bread of life and whoever eats His flesh will not die. Jesus teaches this knowing that many will stop following Him, but He still spoke the Truth.
“They all shall be taught by God.” This really stuck with me, because I think it hints at the conscience. That God always gives us a guide, even to those who are not Christian, who have no way of knowing of God. I think this is so good and beautiful that God knew there would be some who would not get the chance to learn and love him, so he created the conscience which isn’t nurtured by any one religion. All humans have a desire to do what is right, because they know that will make them happy. No one wants to live in despair and loneliness. God wants to give us a way out of this depressing world, because he has perfect love! He cannot but will the good of us, and so it pains him to see us suffer when we sin. God calls us each to him, because he wants us to be in perfect Joy, love, and union with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit!
Today’s scripture talked about how Jesus would’ve given himself up for us. He loves us so much that He would do anything for us, and we may forget that whenever something bad happens or we don’t get our way. It’s all part of God’s plan, even if it’s not good. He loves us so much that He gave His ONLY son and knew everything was going to happen, just to save us.
this is the bread that comes down from heaven
so that one may eat it and not die
if we are the bread or the body of Christ we shall live in heaven with him forever in heaven we will live with everyone who eats the bread but you cant only eat the bread but share the word and get others to come to church and eat the bread of life
The people in the desert ate manna and still died. This happened because they sinned and may have not believed in God. We don’t want to end up in hell but in heaven. Today, we must realize who Jesus is and trust Him to protect us. That’s how we can show our love. Make Jesus into our friend and we will not die, but have everlasting life.
Today in the scripture Jesus tells us that we will rise on the last day and we will live in his kingdom. The scripture also said “Today, Jesus teaches us He is the bread of life and we must eat His Flesh to have eternal life.” That means that when we are at mass and we get the Eucharist it is Jesus.
What stuck out to me was “whoever believes has eternal life.” That stuck out to me because Jesus wants the best for us but he never makes us do anything. He lets it be all up to us. He wants us to follow him but he knows he can’t make us. He is always waiting for us we just need to believe.
Jesus knows that he has to give him self up so that he can save humanity form sin that is why he gave his flesh so we had it for ever.
I think that the gospel is trying to say that Jesus is the key to heaven and eternal life and we get the key from Jesus by receiving his body or the bread of life and by doing the right thing.
“we must eat His Flesh to have eternal life“ I think this does not just apply to communion but also the word of God. It reminds me of Mathew 4:4 where basically we should not just live on food but also the word of God. If we live by the word of God and have a relationship with him we will have eternal life in heaven.
Jesus has done literally everything for us, and how do some of us repay Him? By ignoring Him. I believe that is absolutely astounding. Of course, this also happens to me and many many others. He suffered, died, resurrected, and did all of that with a smile on His face. Maybe not one we can see, but there was definitely a big smile in His heart, knowing that He is saving all of His people.
Jesus is saying that we must follow him and love him. Jesus do not do anything without God and the Holy sprit . The Holy spirt is the the divine interpreter . And God is all in all. And Jesus is the living son
I think the first part of the Gospel is talking about the Trinity knowing what Is going to happen from the start of time and just how much they really DO KNOW. He knew that anyone who tried to get close to the father would be led to the son. Because they are all one in the trinity. Later it says Jesus is the bread of life, not the bread of this life but eternal life with him because you need food to survive and what else do you need to survive in eternal life JESUS CHRIST. He then says people die even after eating the manna which is supposed to make you live forever but it isn’t talking about this one its talking about the spiritual. Then Jesus goes on to say my flesh is the Universal bread and he gives us communion later. This Gospel is very related to Jesus and the spiritual word crossing and being put on top of each other.
Jesus gave us His own flesh to receive and eat, to have the Lord in us. Still many Christians don’t receive Jesus’ body. Why? Why not receive the Holy Eucharist the Lord has given you so much evidence but still you can’t believe it. Why? The Lord loves you so much, He created and he didn’t need to create you at all. Have faith and love the Lord.
“this is the bread that comes down from heaven
so that one may eat it and not die.”
Jesus is telling us that when we go to mass and share his word we will live forever and not die. Jesus came from heaven and gave us the Eucharist and mass so that we could live forever and go to heaven.
Today in scripture we learn that Jesus is in the Eucharists and wine that is his body and blood that we receive. He gave his soul to us partially when He created us and at the end of lent He gave himself to us fully. We have to show him that we believe in him and that we believe he is truly there for us.
Jesus said, “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever;” Jesus is telling us how to get to heaven right then and there! Jesus tells us again and again how to get to heaven. “And the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world” Jesus reveals to us the Eucharist at mass IS his flesh! Every time we receive communion, we need to remember, this is God and this is the way to be with him.
Today Jesus talks about how He is the living bread from heaven. He tells us “Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died”, Jesus is the bread of Life, and without Him we can’t have eternal life.
In the Gospel today Jesus says that he is the bread of life. He also tells us that whoever believes in him will go to heaven. We need to have faith in God and believe in him and Jesus. Jesus loves us and he is the bread of eternal life.
Today Jesus is telling me to receive him in the Eucharist as much as possible. The Eucharist is the bread of life. It will help us get to heaven. “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever;” If we eat the bread of life, we will live forever. Jesus is the bread of life. Therefore, receive the bread of life as much as possible to spend eternal life with the Father.
“He will be like a sheep led to slaughter.” This means that Jesus was just getting lead to his death bed. But He knew that and didn’t care because He knew it was for the best, so he died for us. He loves everyone on the planet even if you say other wise, and your probably asking if He loves the worst behaved person in the world and that answer is yes. He loves them because no matter how bad they are they are still His children. He loves them and made them the way they are for a reason. No matter how much you think you aren’t loved there will always be at least one person that does and that is Jesus, He was the one who brought down people to be in your life to help you and when you look around you will realize that you should be thankful for Him and all the good stuff He has brought you even if your stuck on all the bad stuff it will get better just like when Jesus died now we know that when we die someone will be waiting for our arrival.
Jesus is giving us the symbol of bread as a symbol of His healing body. He draws it back to the mana that came from heaven that the Israelites eat for 40 years because that is a familiar story to all of not just Christians now but the Jewish people that Jesus was constantly interacting with. He also tells us how the Eucarist will work, it will be bread then the power of heaven in the holy spirit will come down and turn it into The Bread of Life, Jesus.
Something that I got out of this was that if we come to Jesus, and live as the well he told us to, than we will have eternal life,it says,”whoever believes in me has eternal life.” This is so important for us, and back then the people didn’t believe him, they just thought that he was some crazy person that was claiming to be the son of God, but if that is what considered crazy, than we should be crazy, like what father Madem said,” be crazy, be crazy for Jesus!” and if we aren’t than we will feel that something is empty, that something is missing in our lives, and we will try to fill that void with something that is way less than what is actually needed, and that thing that we need is Jesus.
God is found in communion. God is joy and we are a result of Him overflowing with joy. We are a result of love. Love likes to suffer. Love wills the good of the other and does something about it. You should too and be a good person and a person that is always there for people when they are down.
Jesus is telling us that he loves us and that he will always love us no matter what we do as long as we are a loving person and we have a good faith in Jesus Christ then we will make to Heaven and we will have eternal happiness
Today I think Jesus is just telling us that he is truly alive. He said “Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me.” In this verse I think he is saying when we pray we really need to listen to God and listen to what he has to say because he is always trying to help us get to heaven.
Today’s gospel is about how Jesus is the new Passover and how if we eat the bread (his body) we can get saved and go to heaven.
“Jesus just wants to be our friend. He wants to set around the supper table and have a great conversation.” Jesus doesn’t want us to live in fear having to be our best for him. He already is and knows hes our savior, he just wants a relationship with us. Not just our Father but also our friend. He wants us to tell him about our day and what we need help with. Because he loves us.
“Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me.” this stuck out to me because if you have a relationship with the Father, you will know that Jesus is his son. I think that this is why all the saints are saints. They had a relationship with God and realized what a truly amazing gift the Eucharist is. I think that the Eucharist is also what the gospel is about today. Jesus is telling us how blessed we are to have the Eucharist.
Jesus is truly alive in the bread at mass. Everytime we receive the Eucharist we receive Jesus. Jesus will come back to Earth one day to save us all. We need to have faith and believe that he will. Jesus has said “who ever believes in me will have eternal life.” so believe in him. Live a holy and spiritual life so that you can one day make it to Heaven.
“I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.” This part of the scripture stuck out to me, because it hints at how Jesus knows what he’ll have to go through for humanity to be saved, but he goes through with it anyway. He teaches us that ‘bread’ or worldly things will not sustain us, but He is the only food we need to have eternal life with Him in Heaven.
In today’s scripture jesus says that “those who go to the Father must come through me”. We must believe in jesus if we want to get to heaven for he is God. He is the light of the world who comes down to save us and like he says “i am the bread of life” for we shall eat of him and live forever.
Jesus is trying to say he is the bread of life and he came down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die.
God is found in communion and adoration. Jesus wants to be with us but some of us are like nope our electronics are more important. FALSE, God is more important than anything in the whole world.
I felt like it was trying to say that the bread that has been consecrated is Jesus. Jesus gives himself to us and we need to know if we are worthy to receive him and be filled with his grace. I feel like most of us don’t even care for the bread and we don’t thank him for his passion, death, and resurrection. we just don’t care, we receive it and we think it just tastes like bread, well it is but it’s not anymore. Once we know that we can dive deeper into our faith so that we feel more connected with him. Jesus has done so much for us when can we just understand and know that he is in us. Jesus gave us his power so that we can judge ourselves with our conscience and we can know right from wrong. Most of that is Jesus and that bread is like the Pentecost where we receive it and we begin to think differently we need to memorize that or we will be lost on the path of righteousness and we wont go back to the father.
In todays Gospel its telling me that Jesus is the living bread and he is telling us to receive him. We must follow him and show that we love him. “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever;” He is guiding us on HOW to get to heaven! every time we recive communion we must realize that this is the bread of Christ.
Love wills the good of the other and does something about it. Love is so important. It is a main way to get to God. If you don’t love others then how are you going to love God. If you hurt someone’s feeling it is like saying that to God. God is the creator of heaven and earth. He is the one who brought us to life. Without Him we would not be here. He loves all of us equally so we should love Him and others equally.
I really just love this Gospel because I like how Jesus is just telling us to believe. I feel like that’s something we struggle with these days. And it’s definitely not an easy thing to believe in something that we can’t technically see. (At least in human form). But I feel like that’s why Jesus tells us to have a child-like faith. When we’re little, we just believe because that’s what we’re told. We have trust that the things we are told are true. But as we get older we grow away from that and we have a tendency to question a lot of things, including our faith. We need to train ourselves to just trust Jesus like we did when we were kids because everything he says is pure truth and nothing else. And sometimes he asks for a little blind trust but that’s what builds our relationship with him. So just give him all you got. 🙂
In today’s scripture I think that God is trying to tell us that we need to stop trying to get stuff, to try to make us happy, He will make us happy. We just need to pray about it and believe that we can be holy and believe that we can do the right thing.
God is the only fulfillment in life. We can seek worldly pleasures but they won’t fill us. We need God. Nothing from earth can sustain us. It might feel good, but it won’t last.
We can find God’s Love just simply through communion. when we receive him we have to know that he is inside of us.
“Jesus just wants to be our friend” this stuck out to me because it is the true thing that we need to know.
We learn that Jesus is the Eucharist and that we should believe he is the body. When we receive the Eucharist we are one with him and will not die. And when we eat the bread we will live forever and not die.
What stuck out to me was, “God is joy and we are a result of Him overflowing with joy. ” We need God because God is what brings us joy. If we didn’t have God there would be no joy.
Jesus is truly the bread of life, we have to believe it, part of life is trust we have to have a lot of it for us to even think God is real
and he came to earth to save everyone. Our lives are meaningful to him, if he wanted to die for our sins and give us the bread of life just so he can see us in heaven even though we don’t deserve it, Gods forgiveness lasts forever. amen.
“God is joy and we are a result of Him overflowing with joy. We are a result of love. Love likes to suffer. Love wills the good of the other and does something about it.” I think this was really important to know is love is suffering but that I was God had to go there and we should know that God loves us so much.
I say to you,
whoever believes has eternal life.
whoever truly believes and follows Jesus shall have eternal life in heaven with him. Along with everyone else who does.
We need God so much in life. Without Him we would be nothing. And to think the creator of the whole universe knows us by name and knows us better than we know our self. He wants us to know Him and be closer to Him.
“Get up and head south on the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza, the desert route.” This stuck out to me because he always has a plan for us and we always get led to him in many different ways. We need to talk to him and build a relationship with him.
“I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever.” This part stuck out to me because it’s telling us that Jesus is truly alive at Mass, and the bread and wine is truly His body and blood. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and left His body and blood for us to eat and drink. All we have to do is believe.
Jesus is the new Passover. We receive him every time we go to church. We cannot just simply know this. We have to know and recognize that this is the truth and pursue a relationship with God who is Love. He loves us and does not will anything bad of us, that is Satan and only his work.
¨He does this through a sacrificial meal. God later feeds them with manna in the desert.¨
this passage is very weird, God tells them to eat unleavened bread and bitter herbs, and not fresh fish from the lake or wine from the centuries passed. He sounds mad at us, angry about the path we have taken. I wonder why he wanted us in his world. Why didn ´ t he start anew again? He hasn’t flooded the earth, he didn’t cast a plague or even a meteorite to kill us all. Why does he still want us on Earth and not in heaven? I have so many questions, very confusing.
Jesus is teaching us. We should always listen to Him whenever He is trying to talk to us. When Jesus is teaching us we should always listen because we don’t know when we’ll be able to listen to Him again.
Believe in God, trust God. When you receive communion you are receiving Jesus inside you. The bread his Jesus’ flesh and will lead you to heaven.
Jesus tells the people He is life and tells them that their ancestors didn’t eat the bread so they didn’t have enteral life. I think that He is trying to tell me that I needed to trust more and to not be afraid to let go. If I trust Him, He will lead me on the right path to holiness.
“I am the bread of life.” We hear this often, at Mass and in scripture. Jesus is showing us and telling us of his great power and glory. Bread is a kind of food. We need food to stay alive. Bread nourishes and feeds our hunger just like how Jesus nourishes us and fills us with his love. What we eat would be different if bread was never a thing. Our lives and what we do would be different without Jesus and all he has done for us. Because of bread we are no longer hungry. Because of Jesus we are forgiven and can go to Heaven. Jesus turned bread into his body and now every time we go to Mass we get to receive him. He is the bread that saves us and makes us fulfilled.
Some of us say we will never learn from God. Literally yes but who puts the words in our teachers mouths. God. Who puts ideas and what to say and how they say and everything they think in our teachers head. God. God doesn’t put the bad things we think about in our head but He definitely puts the good. When we think about everything God teaches us you may come up short but think about everything you learn from the scriptures. So when you think about what has God taught me just remember that everything in the scriptures and anything good in life is from God.
It’s easy to misunderstand anything with a “veil” over our eyes. Words can be twisted and used against us. We can be blamed for the wrong things, or do the same to other people. God’ s love is a truthful one makes us see the truth and the way of how He loves us. His love is everlasting, and God would never lie to us. Even when we think He’s lying, He’s not. He will always be open with us if we are open with Him.
Jesus is here with us TODAY in the body at church and in his blood. Jesus died for US and OUR sins.
Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever believes has eternal life.
I am the bread of life.
God is here for us we need to open our eyes and see that. God is waiting for us to run to him with open arms. We need to really TRULY believe that.
Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me.
Jesus just explains the trinity with just this one sentence. Just one, EVERYONE who listens to MY father and learns from him comes to ME. Jesus literally just stated that God is his father, but if you learn from the father, you learn from him. The crowds he was speaking to must have been astounded, God is both the Father but also Jesus. No, it doesn’t make any sense, but God isn’t supposed to make sense, if he just explained to us everything about him and all that we need to do to get to Heaven, then we’d be doing it for ourselves, its the love of being kind to others with no reward but joy that gets us to God.
From this scripture i took away that God is always with us. Especially at the mass. He is protecting us and waiting for us to join him in eternal life. He is our joy and the focus of our life and we need to spend time and worship him so we can truly get to know him and who he is. He suffered on the cross for us and our sins.
This is saying that Jesus is the key to Heaven. Without Jesus, we cannot get into Heaven
humanity is stupid. it is. We have been staring at the solution to all of our problems for the past 2000 years and we have ignored it for that entire time. All that God wants for us is good, holy, beautiful. We have refused his help and love for the entirety of the human race. He still refuses to let us burn in hell for our heresy. He uses every chance he as to save us from the worst fate ever.
Jesus is telling us we need to follow God’s laws so we can see Jesus in Heaven.
Jesus tells us he is the living bread that comes down from heaven and he is the Eucharist, the manna – food we eat – will certainly perish and if that is what we eat we will parish as well, but if we eat the bread that comes down from heaven/Eucharist – Jesus – we will live forever in heaven with Jesus.
This scripture shows that the key to getting to heaven is to follow and believe in Jesus
on the last dayj esus rose form the dead we need to trust god and follow his word
It says that God knows what we are here to do in our life and he will lead us back to him. He wants us to do his will and always love him. Jesus died for us and loves us all, even when we sin. We need to know that God loves us no matter what.
God is found in communion. God is joy and we are a result of Him overflowing with joy.
In this scripture reflection I was reminded that God IS the bread of life and that He is all that I need to live. To get back to Him in Heaven I must eat His flesh and drink His blood, a beautiful thing.
” whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.”
When we eat his flesh our souls live forever, our human bodies may not but our souls do. And his flesh can feed the whole world and we would still have more left over
Today in scripture we learn that Jesus is in the Eucharists. And wine that is his body and blood that we receive. He gave his soul to us partially when he created us and at the end of lent. He gave himself to us fully. We have to show him that we believe in him. And that we believe he is truly there for us.
in today’s scripture it talks about how is the bread of life if you eat of him you will never go hungry and if you drink of him you will never go hungry one of the only thing that is different from Catholicism and Christianity is the belief that God is fully present in the Eucharist and that is what Jesus says to us today and we need acknowledge this every mass so that we can see how much he truly loves us
“Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you…” Jesus means that he is the way the truth and the life. Jesus is the narrow road. We have to be one with Jesus and the only way is through the Eucharist. Jesus can’t lie. “Very truly I tell you” He cant lie! He is the Son of Man and we have to revive him.
“Love likes to suffer.” Love is hard and brittle, plus it takes time for people to be able to love. If you love someone strong enough you will suffer for them. Love suffers if you are able to suffer for the person you love.Jesus suffered showing us how much He loves us and will do anything for us. We need to long for a love as divine as the love of Jesus.
I think God is trying to tell us that He really is the Eucharist and the wine is truly His blood. I think He is also saying that for us to go to Heaven we need to drink His blood and eat His flesh, but not only that we need to truly believe and know what we are eating.
Jesus is alive in the Host. He is always close to us but especially at Mass when we receive the body or blood or body and blood. He is always our guide and leads us to the right thing always and when we veer off that path we need to get back on it fast.
what is the Eucharist made of? it is unleavened bread. Jesus is the bread of life, the hope of the world. He is our savior. The ressurected one. whoever follows him and believes shall not perish, but have eternal life. Life within him. He is our light through the darkness. He is our savior who died for us to save us from God’s wrath. He is the light that extinguishes the darkness of Satan. Whoever is in the light of God is untouchable by Satan. with God, we are unstopable. with God, we are forgiven. If we follow God and truly love him as he loves us, nothing can hurt us because we are in his protection of love and mercy.
I think Jesus is trying to tell us that we should listen and trust in him. In the reading the person does what he is told and it works out well for him
“I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever;” Today Jesus literally tells it straight up, ‘I am the bread of life’. In the Bible there is a lot of symbolism like Issac having to carry the wood and the lamb being led to slaughter but here there is no foreshadowing or unknown He actually tells us the truth. We have to listen to God in all the things He tells us He’s talking but we just have to listen.
In today’s scripture it talks about how we need God and that we must have faith in him even though we haven’t seen him physically. The part that really stuck out to me was “Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God; he has seen the Father. Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.”
Today Jesus is telling us that He is the bread of life, that if we eat His flesh and drink His blood then we will have eternal life in Heaven. This is special to Catholics because other religions believe in the same God but they don’t believe this. This alone separates us from the other religions and the rest of the world
Jesus asks the apostles if they want to leave like everyone else, but they are steadfast in their faith. we must be like this as well.
We would be nothing without God and We would have no power without him.
Jesus gave us his body and told us he would die for us. He wanted to stay with us
I learned today that Jesus is the Eucharist and that we should believe he is the body of Christ. When we receive the Eucharist we are one with the Lord Jesus Christ and will always be one with Him. Without Jesus, there is no pathway to gateway to heaven.
Today’s scrripture reflection tells us that he gives his self up and his blood like his body is the bread and the wine is his blood he gives himself up and we should be greatuful cause we get to have him in are body and heart.
Today Jesus is telling me to receive him in the Eucharist as much as possible. The Eucharist is the bread of life. It will help us get to heaven. The scripture also said “Today, Jesus teaches us He is the bread of life and we must eat His Flesh to have eternal life.” That means that when we are at mass and we get the Eucharist it is Jesus.
“THE BREAD THAT I WILL GIVE IS MY FLESH FOR THE LIFE OF THE WORLD.” JN 6:51, this stuck out to me because it means that the Eucharist is Jesus himself and his own flesh. So when we go to mass we are having Jesus and his flesh.
The scripture says that Jesus is the only thing we need and is all powerful. Jesus knew what he was going to have to go through for our lives to be saved.
Today’s gospel is about how Jesus is the new Passover and how if we eat the body of Jesus Christ we can get saved and go to heaven.
In today’s scripture it is saying that nothing would be possible without God. We need God. He is the bread of life
¨It will only take a few minutes each day of your time and it might be the biggest spiritual experience you will ever have.¨ This stuck out to me because i think this makes us realize that we DO have time for prayer, whether its after school or first thing when you wake up, prayer can have an effect on you any time of the day.
“THE BREAD THAT I WILL GIVE IS MY FLESH FOR THE LIFE OF THE WORLD.” To me this means that God gave himself up for us and we need to believe that he did that and we need to go to mass to recieve Him. Us Catholics believe that the Body and Blood of Christ is actually from the bread and wine.
“I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.”
I think Jesus is trying to say that when the people are the manna from the desert they never truly believed and that is why they died. But when He came into the world he is the bread of life and whoever that believes in him will live forever in the kingdom of heaven.
“Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from him comes to me.”
This stuck out to me because I felt like If we are making the right decisions in life we would be talking to God and learning from God. He is trying to teach us how to go to Heaven and to choose right from wrong.
Today Jesus is telling me that the thing thing that sets us apart from every other religion is that we believe that the host is really the body of Christ and that the wine is Jesus’ blood.
Jesus is the bred of life. We will be granted eternal life in Heaven if we eat the flesh and drink the blood. “If you eat this bread and drink the blood, you shall perish”.
“This is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die.”
This stuck out because Jesus is telling us that when we go to mass and share his word we will be with him forever. Jesus came to earth to give us the Eucharist, Mass, and eternal life in heaven.
In the Gospel, Jesus is telling us that He is the Bread of Life and we must eat His flesh to have eternal life with Him. We should talk to Jesus everyday and make Him our friend. Jesus loves us very much and that’s why he died on the cross for us and to save us from sin. “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread I will give is my Flesh for the life of the world.” This part struck me because Jesus loves us very much, so He died on the cross for us.
This is what stuck out to me today “Today, Jesus teaches us He is the bread of life and we must eat His Flesh to have eternal life.”
I think this means that the bread we at church is the body of Jesus.
The only thing that will ever make us truly happy in life is God no matter what we try nothing will ever match his greatness or power nothing from the earth can fill us up no matter how hard we look for it.
I got that the scripture was saying Jesus is all we need and he is truly present. He is truly present in the body and blood and calls us to be there, receiving him in communion as much as possible.
Somethings that stuck out to me was “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever.´´ This stuck out to me because its saying that if we truly believe in god and receive Holy Communion then we will live forever in Heaven
He gave himself up and his blood. His body is bread and blood is wine.
The Scripture for today tells us that God is truly alive in the bread at mass. Our lives and what we do would be drastically different without Jesus and all he has done for us. If you say an insult to someone its saying it to God.
God is saying that he died for us and he is giving us his bread. When we recieve communion it is very important and Jesus died so we could receive it.
“we must eat His Flesh to have eternal life“ Jesus tells us time again and again to “eat my flesh and drink my blood, and you will have eternal life” so we must make sure we are pure to do so.
